I was a bit surprised when a sequel was announced for 9rip.
I mostly wanted to get this for Koyou but I will admit my memory of the OG
is already waning, thankfully there was a recap and plenty of callbacks!
As per usual I tried not to set my expectations too high and the only thing I am
disappointed by was the short length of the god after, I enjoyed mostly everything else.
Disclaimer: This is purely my own opinion and it could be different from yours
this is not meant to be some kind of all-truth, just an opinion that came from playing this.
If you don't like what you're reading then close the tab, move on and just idk play it yourself.
Pro's
- Wraps up the story and concludes the saga for relatively well.
- Heaven afters are of decent length.
Grey area
- Focuses more on the heaven side than the god side.
- Art mostly good but... you can notice the usual otomate shenanigans here or there.
Con's
- God afters except one are way too short.
Storywise it really varied whether an after story was interesting
and ultimately may come down to preference but that's just my opinion.
Each character has an after story for the heaven end and the god end.
With 9 routes, I realized by route 7 that not everyone was as relevant to the main
storybeats and the ones that executes them well (heaven side) were Seiya and Minami.
A lot of the others just didn't feel very... relevant or had some random plot.
As for the OP I think it suited the heaven side more, its kinda funny but it is what it is.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
System.
This doesn't really follow the usual after story/continuation template
where you just select a character and get their story. Here you start a new game
and then via choices at the start get to the routes. It only takes a minute, you get a brief recap
at the start of the after too which was really helpful.
Actually its really similar to how you end up on routes in the original.
My first route was blind and I decided to do Kureha. After that I used guides.
There are bad ends or... premature endings in some of the heaven routes.
I managed to avoid those first time thru Kureha's so I when I looked up a guide I was
a bit shocked choices actually seemed to matter. Always trust Koyou!
God after's have only one ending so you can enjoy that without worry.
They probably could have removed the map selection part as it felt pretty useless
there were times with more than one location but if there's only 1 spot why bother? /shrug.
Turns out some points are missable, 9 in total which unlock locations in a special mode
where Sayaka sends you all over town to find the perfect hiding place.
Thankfully Choro's guide listed the locations you could recover
but if you miss them its nothing to worry out, the special mode
does NOT even have a CG just a fun scene for your efforts.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pacing was not too slow but it felt like there wasn't much time for anything especially
during god afters like it sure did try to deliver something but some didn't satisfy me.
The heaven afters felt like they were a bit more fleshed out and I enjoyed it the most.
With some like Hibiki I wasn't interested in the plot and new side character(s).
In terms of length each god after was like 1/2 hours & heaven 4 so its 6 hours per character
you can probably already see what the problem is here so I will shut up about this.
I could probably have finished this sooner but that is no good for my menhera(mental health).
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The heaven side feels like where most of the effort got put into and for some
it felt like it fleshed out more stuff. Others such as Kureha or Hibiki felt like a remix.
I did think some had better outcomes but i'm gonna be real they just turned a less than
good end into a happy one.π
I realized they didn't have all that much material to work with
and only a few of them were actually interesting, mainly Seiya,Minami and to some extend Koyou.
Wasn't sure if it was the writing but it kinda dipped and peaked for some of the heaven afters.
There were some new characters introduced, I couldn't care about most of them.
Now I understand in the original heaven ends some things are up in the air so what
we get here is that the majority of the time is spend trying to make something of it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
God After's
Okay gonna remind everyone that over half the cast is dead
Okay gonna remind everyone that over half the cast is dead
and Misa basically acts like an ankle bracelet for them, this shit is tragic.
Going to heaven doesn't sound like a bad deal for some. Its actually expanded
upon why certain things happened. So, no its not just random R.i.P bozo.
Characters like Koyou, some demon or the ayakashi's got off better than certain others.

Shucks but it'll keep you warm for a minute. |
Uh yea have some mini character babbles.
Kureha's heaven after did have a unsettling vibe at times which is in line with the original.
I couldn't help but want to pray things would end up relatively well...
I wasn't convinced by his god after and for some reason prefer his heaven side.
I don't think there was nearly enough time to have much of substance and wish they just
focused their energy in one place. Now its like you get a burger but its divided in half.
There's moments that I like but before I knew it, it was over. Sad.
For Hibiki... i'm mostly indifferent for his heaven after and I like slept through half
of it only to jolt right awake in time for the end and I loved the ζ·± ending so much!
Hibiki's god after was kinda meh, shucks for Minami tho... he just keeps taking L's just like me.
I'm once again not completely sold here but what sort of better outcome would there be
for Hibiki and Misa when all's said and done? so at the end of the day it was OK at best.
Like its definitely an after story but the majority of the time is spend reminiscing.
This tells me, we don't know what to do with this but enjoy! also R.i.P.
Koyou: In a surprising way I actually ended up invested into his heaven after.
Dunno if good or bad, it scratched that supernatural itch. There was no Reika, since
she was already dealt with at this point! in exchange we got some weirdo spirit that likes
collecting dolls, among other things thanks I guess. Koyou's god after was decent and for
once it felt like a proper after story...but even this felt like it was over in a flash...
Sena: Heaven after went on for too long about his past with S-crown, I sleep.
I loved his god after for some reason because it hit all the right tragic notes.π
I don't even like Sena that much so that gotta say something.
Seiya: I loved his heaven after cuz I got some vibes from the kdrama tomorrow so of course
I was eating that shit up though that was just at the beginning. Seiya's character can
also be very entertaining so this was easy entertainment. They struck gold here amidst a sea
of bronze and silver. God after was more like the rest... 2ish hours of fluff whatever R.i.P. π
Minami: His heaven after was enjoyable, maybe it was because much like Seiya
there weren't many new side characters though Meimei did take some spotlight
but he never overstayed his welcome so I was fine with the creepy shinigami.
His god after was hilarious though but as per usual... over in a flash.
Koharu: I thought his heaven after was a little boring something happened
that wasn't on my bingo card. I have 99 problems and this isn't one of them. Very bakamitai.
Koharu is kinda dumb but a real man gotta be a lil stupid, I still love him but basically:
If you can't handle him at his worst, you don't deserve him at his best.ππ
His god after much like Sena hit like a truck and I thought it was one of the better ones
like I fully understood now why Misa ends up like that because they took the time to explain it.
I find it hilarious how with both Sena and Koharu I didn't like their heaven side much.π
Yukimaro had a calm heaven after and it was pretty chill but it didn't have much
going for it and I thought it was pretty much a nothing burger.
OK maybe that's too harsh maybe a bun with cheese on it?
His god after was pretty good but uh not like they could have done a lot with that.
I liked how heartwarming it was, in these trying times I accept it with all my heart.π
Touka only had one after, for his god ending. It wasn't paced like the others and was
a heaven after in disguise. Also suffers from truth route syndrome, but honestly
I didn't really like Touka that much, he actually made me uncomfy the more
time we spend with him but of course Misa likes him so uh yea it is what it is.
Imma be real, this game turned me into a Minami enjoyer.

Me with over half of the LI's whenever a route ends. |
Though the heaven afters was where the meat of the game was.
Not sure if my expectations were wrong but was it wrong to expect more of the former?
I wasn't completely sold on the highlighted moments thing, since it leaves a lot
open to imagination but I wouldn't say it was awful either, just not my thing.
They focused more on supernatural side of things because heaven afters
were far longer than the god afters which was really short.
Whether or not 9rip sequel is worth it depends on how much you liked the original
and if you want more content with Misa and ALL the guys.
---
It was nice they provided an opportunity to follow up on some things
or spend more time with specific characters, I could appreciate it for some
but after sitting through 1 character and a half I was like, damn have I really cleared
almost 2 characters already?! at this point I hadn't even touched Koyou my best boi.
Its only after I cleared my 7th route Koharu that some things that happened in other god afters
actually made sense. I guess you could figure it out but its nice there was an explanation.
---
Kinda sad one after or route can seem really short but I think its only normal
that with like 9 LI's you aren't gonna spend a lot of time with all of them.
Overall if you do all it'll take you 50ish hours. That's still a good deal.
Much like the original nothing overstayed its welcome but I got tired by the time of 9th route.
I got the feeling the director wasn't especially focused on more romance focused
scenario maybe it not their thing and that's why everything felt so brief.
If I had to choose between no sequel at all or what we got, I'm still grateful we even got this.
7/10
Its a little difficult to recommend if you only like one character but if you
really dig supernatural stuff and like the majority of the cast its actually OK.
To that end this is only something I could recommend if you liked over half the cast
but who knows maybe you didn't and still end up with a new favorite!
This game will likely be localized and I will be disappointed if it doesn't.
Though with iffy I am not sure anymore, seems they're just bringing over
random games now while hoping its better received in ENG than Japan.
Gonna sneak in this edit but: 9rips sold out on release and charted in famitsu
but there's barely any reviews for it, now having played it... there's not much to even
write about but it seems oddly quiet compared to how they raised the pitchforks at MonoChi.
My play order: Kureha > Hibiki > Koyou > Sena > Seiya > Minami > Koharu > Yukimaro > Touka.
Like with the previous game I decided to keep the pairs together and go from there. There's no
restrictions and you can mostly do whatever but I recommend Koharu and Touka for last.
Character rambles after the jump there's spoilers in there as well as some of my fav CG's
Kureha.
CV: Matsuda Toshiki.
there being a whole load of drama trying to get rid of the regrets of a friend or was it his sister?
There are two after stories one for the heaven end and the other for the good end.
I did the former first; Seems like Kureha keeps taking care of the Hinagiku stuff, its
relatively harmless now. Anyway Kureha is still looking for a way to save the spirit
and they're both still wandering the other world. I thought this was kinda melancholic
but not very engaging it made me wish I picked the other epilogue. That aside
the vibes ended up being a bit relaxing but I couldn't feel truly relaxed for some reason.
Kureha wants Misa to bring him to see her family but just then the reaper creeps up on her
but she insists she's fine which is obviously not the case. Kureha ends up kissing her
as she's not fooling him. I thought this was sweet but I was sorta confused at wtf is going on.
Kureha wants to go on a date and they end up at a shrine, the priest immediately senses
something wrong but he's not sure what. Huh yea sorry its just my ghost BF.
Eventually the priest gives up since he's old and no longer got the energy for this.π
Misa's mom has fallen into a slump and things didn't go well when they got back home.
Spooky, almost as if the mother or Misa's home were possessed by something.
Suzura Miko is able to see the two of them, she's a friend of Misa's mother.
Kureha convinces Misa they should leave for now... as there's nothing they can do.
When they get back it seems Hinagiku has become to move and takes a less hororific form.
Things seem to have turned out well... but on the other side things are not quite as good.
They end up showing Hinagiku around town, she's not able to speak well
but is able to express what she likes such as a cute doll. They end up relying
on Koyou to get a message across to her mom but her sister doesn't get it.
It seems like its us the ones making the place look haunted.π¨
Eventually Misa gets to talk to her sister and mom thanks to Koyou.
Even if it was just a few minutes they got a message across which was more than enough
it brought relief to both sides. Misa is able to come to terms with how things are now.
Seiya end up creeping up on them being all like I SEE, not quite a normal situation
anyway he gives them a smartphone so they can communicate if needed but they
have to visit him in person. Kureha gives her a flower crown made of sakura petals
as proof of his devotion, Seiya was watching their sappy little scene and is equally moved.
Hell daddy is unable to read the room and just wants them to kiss and be done with it.π
Kureha seems to have found a solution to Hinagiku's problem so they go back.
Misa's friend Sayaka ends up a bit into the occult and gets Koharu drawn into this mess
which felt really random either way he was not amused. Either way something
seems to be up with Hinagiku and she just acts creepy around Misa.
Kureha seems to figure out she's against it or something...
Misa's mom seems to have brought something back home and she is full of hopes
this could be a good omen to get her daughter back. Misa's sister seems to think its unnecesary.
That night it seems Hinagiku is going back to her usual antics and shit gets creepy.
I was legit a bit scared during this moment...π The others hold her back while
Misa gets a chance to flee with Kureha. Though Hinagiku only seems to apologize
and immediately calms down. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa~~ Kureha decides to call Seiya
who pinches in but at times he came across as a hopeless romantic too.π
Needless to say without him they wouldn't get nowhere.
Hinagiku relieved of her curse is finally able to speak normally again
she apologizes but she was afraid at first for Misa triggering Kureha's own curse.
She sees that Misa doesn't mean harm but that she wants nothing but the best for her brother
so in the end she was mistaken and once again apologizes. Wingman Seiya excuses himself
but not before Kureha can thank him cuz without him where would we be?
After wards Misa and Kureha go back to Misa's home and Tsuzura prepares
to cast a spell, if it works they will be able to be seen so they can help Misa's family.
Misa is able to tell her mom this is the last time, so her mom apologizes for being so strict.
Her mom still blames herself so Misa tries to reassure her. Either way they get to say goodbye.
Kureha gives Misa a bracelet made from the Kalifa flower as proof of his love for her.
They lived spookily ever after but atleast they found some happiness.
Misa goes back home alone and witnesses her sister fight with her mom.
Suzura interjects and she casts a spell to let them see Misanhowever her
mom ends up possessed, the necklacee ends up breaking because of Sayaka
who somehow ends up there as well probably due to her occult BS.
Well whatever they end up saying farewell, the process was simply less gentle.
They make out when they reunite, seems like Kureha got another kiss CG, its like his 3rd.
They both end up passing on after they reunite in the heavens.
God after: Life goes on for Misa and her ghost boyfriend. Oh his birthday is oct 30...
just in time for halloween?! Misa wantss to do something so she asks
Uguu mirror-kun for help who for some reason is very eager to help. Seiya ends up dragging
Koharu into it when he tried to escape while going on about how he already is preparing a gift.
Minami decides to troll but Kureha is like chotto a minute which makes him retreat for the moment.
Kureha got oddly overprotective which was kind of cute... he got too into it.π
Other than not much happens they visited Yui and Hibiki and it seems the
Hinagiku plotline was resolved due to having a birthday party for Kureha
so... she doesn't feel any resentment. sometime after summer vacation
he ends up telling Misa a story where there was some rando trolling Hibiki.
Seiya ends up being a wingman but it felt more like we're being told a scary story
from Kureha's perspective where they introduce some random new character. Kureha wants
to go to the school with her again one day since it reminds them of their own adventure.
In the epilogue they end up getting married but it felt kind of random?
Honestly it felt like they just tried a bunch of random things but never followed on them...
or glossed over it through a monologue (thank's I hate it) the only thing I liked was
the beginning where they celebrated his birthday. But hey! atleast he had an epilogue CG now.
Oddly enough while I wasn't here for the heaven after; I thought it was still pretty saisfying!
if its the first route you do maybe. Anyway his heaven route in the OG didn't close off properly
and so...open ended, I am glad they tried to make more of it while giving it a satisfying conclusion.
However on the other side I thought his god after was too short. Like okay I am not here
for a 6 hour after story but I was not convinced by the time that was over.
It felt like all the effort went into the heaven side and the god after just felt rushed
like its disjointed and I got the idea they didn't know what to do at all.
Oh its supposed to highlight special moments across four seasons... eh ok.
Each after lasted like maybe 3 hours, perhaps even shorter if you're fast...
For a poster boy I think Kureha is really weak, he's almost like a red herring.
5.5/10
~
Hibiki.
CV Toki Shun'ichi.
Wasn't his biggest fan but I felt rather disconnected from this character.
Looking at my own thoughts I written back with the OG it all checks out, this guy
is not for me but I did like his best end apparently! I did his heaven end first
but honestly it was a drag I am sorry but I didn't have the energy for this.
Hibiki's still stuck in his mirror but Misa visits him as much as she can, nothing out
of the ordinary other than Hibiki being a little a little possessive. Nothing to see here!
Seiya ends up fanning the flames and reminds us of Hibiki's nature
at this point Misa fully understands what she got into... life just goes on.
Sayaka is being the weirdo she is and obsessed with kokkuri but what else is new?
They run into someone when looking for ghosts its the dude from the ghost story last route.
Its not him we should be worried about... no its uguu mirror-kun because holy shit
I can't help but get nervous that he's never gonna let Misa out.
Actually this Takumi guy is important as he is known as being lovelorn or something like that.
Sayaka just continues her occult shenanigans and Koharu gets dragged into it
while letting out a big stinky purple fart. He doesn't say much but I can tell
he was judging the both of them. Sadly only Misa can see him
and knowing this fact Sayaka cries out how its not fair, so unfortunate!
Anyway he's safe and now has befriended Hibiki. Yaaaaaaaaay.
(Ritual only worked because Misa was there because Sayaka has 0 affinity)
Uguu mirror-kun sniffles Misa up because she smelled of something sweet
and well she did try to make some treats earlier. Anyway I sleep.
Takumi can't bear to watch them but he sorta wishes it was him...
but he has stupid rumors on his ass, then he died and he ended up like this.
They certainly aren't giving up like he has but Takumi ends up being
really jealous of them both... but says he cheers em on anyways.
Koharu kind of dumps the plot of Misa being protected by a god
nothing important happened but some vibes were off. Takumi starts
being friendly with Hibiki even seeing him as a lil bro. #concern
Seiya comes to check up on things which leads to him being a hopeless romantic.π
There's some uncertainty but Hibiki seems determined to be the one to pull through.
Tengu-kun like died for our sins or something, Suzura Miko tells us we have little time
she warns Misa to not get wrapped up in anything and tries to train her.
Sayaka wants to join but Suzura tells her she can't cuz she has no affinity, rip.
When Misa gets back it seems Hibiki's mirror is broken, in the good end
she uses the talisman on it she got earlier then goes inside but something is wrong.
Misa found the book Takumi was after earlier as well...
Turns out Takumi ones flirted with some girl named Kanako and she was about to confess
back but she waited without a response and she hated those rumors about him.
Misa brings it up to Takumi and he admits he met her, saying she's super cute
and probably still waiting... Takumi starts being a weirdo since he figured
Misa's the kind hearted type that wants to help so he wants her to help him too.
With the book it might be possible, turns out he wants to return Kanako's feelings
and eat her bento again too. He doesn't like being known as who he is.
Misa decides not to trust him since it seems contradictory and Takumi loses it.
Hibiki shows up looking very angry, Takumi tries to talk his way out of it
but then Hibiki punched him since he saw through it. They have a bitch fight
and Misa is like yikes so she uses another one of the charms to stop them both.
Hibiki is like when did you learn that? well just a while ago.π
Takumi says she should have done it sooner anyways he ends up telling what really happened
and wants to eat another one of Kanako's bentos to atone for his sins since he feels responsible
for what happened after since apparently she ended up dying because her food was poisoned.
Basically he wants to kill those bitches or he'll never know peace. Hibiki ends up
punching him in the gut even though he apologizes for being a jerk that started it.
Hibiki admits they're similar and he'd probably have done the same. He was a coward too.
Plot thickens as the book is apparently from an evil demon we know all too well.
Hibiki is like take me to him NOW. Its hilarious how excited he is
since he wants to protect Misa, murder is now absolutely okay.
Hibiki doesn't even mind if he is going to go to hell for this as long as he gets the job done.
Anyway they made out, sometime later Koharu is there too to keep watch so there's little
to worry about that demon getting close. Turns out there was a nasty smell in her room
you sure Minami is not rotting under her bed?! The mirror had been removed since it was broken
Misa uses her ability to see him at school but he's not fully there and then Minami waltzes
in and she runs away... Takumi for some reason jumps in and punches Minami
which bought some time, eventually Hibiki reaches them but something is off
Minami seems to back off on his own and leaves as fast as he walked in.
Anyway even without the mirror they may be able to meet anywhere they want to
and Hibiki wants to be forever reflected in her eyes.
Heaven after ending 2: Misa gets tormented by her little demon and he came to visit
her much sooner than in the above version of events. It turns into a nightmare of her
getting stabbed by Hibiki over and over. Though this isn't Hibiki but actually Minami.
Since the actual Hibiki is trying to wake her up. Hibiki ends up aiming a gun
that he borrowed from a certain someone at Minami. He's like surely not
but then Hibiki shoots him and the demon falls to the floor. Hibiki ends up
God after: For some reason this starts with Misa in a hospital room
and then its flashesback to Minami sneaking in on Misa. Oh my god
anyway as if he heard my cries Touka speaks up and says he is here to
protect her and then Hibiki shows up who's like wtf are you doing to my girl?
Minami is like shucks and rolls away... Well in the original's god end Hibiki
ended up like some sort of guardian angel so she couldn't always see him.
This hasn't changed and somehow he is fine with being like this.
he helped them both to confess their feelings too like he's cupid or something.π
It gets weirder because they end up traveling to heaven so I was do
they have these endings mixed up?! didn't see why this was necessary
it honestly felt like they were biding their time or couldn't think of anything else.
It was apparently more important to show flashbacks of the OG game
instead of you know Misa living her life and enjoying time together with the LI
but tbh in Hibiki's case what could they even make of this?!
anyway Hibiki never thought he could go to heaven but here we are!
and for some reason Misa went along with it. He wants to marry her and
become a family, so uh they lived heavenly ever after.
---
Eh the heaven side started out kind of hype but it mellowed out
not sure what the deal with Takumi was but it felt like they
couldn't really do too much with the plot anyways. :/
I prefer the second ending for the heaven after though, the other
just seemed kinda lame for all that build up for going after Minami.
Sadly I thought half of it was a bit of a drag, I wasn't really interestedin the plot of the side characters... something bothers me about making
Hibiki bloodthirsty but resolve the whole thing without busting any nuts
so the ending where Hibiki actually did something was my favorite.
For having horror themes its surprisingly tame but the OG was like that too
due to this I believe the game is never able to reach its full potential.
God after wasn't that good, it felt like a bunch of separate episodes loosely
tied together with glue and some of it can be taken out an you lose nothing of value.
Why the fuck would you go from the OG's relatively happy end to this but whatever
seems Misa is the one holding him back so going to heaven doesn't
sound like a bad deal, however I didn't fully get this till my 7th route.
6/10
(Would be same score as Kureha's except well you know what Hibiki did)
~
Koyou.
CV: Suzuki Ryouta.
but after the last two god ends I honestly did not have much hope for it to be good.
As per usual heaven end first! sadly they're well aware Minami remains an issue.
I wasn't really sure how they could fix that anyways but atleast there was no Reika.
Sena points out Misa is likely fine the problem here however is Koyou
seems like he still needs time so Misa decides to have faith in him.
Oh yea there was another scene of Sayaka messing around but what else is new?
Yukimaro tried to scam Misa but Koyou tells him to cut it out. Honestly he's just
trying his best but people just don't visit shrines as much as they used to
but Yukimaru ended up looking like a crybaby for no reason.π
The rest is basically just them recycling the same plot sans Reika which is a plus.
I say as they run into some weirdo that likes collecting dolls..... but I'll take it.
They made out while rolling in the grass under the starry sky at some point
but the scene was so short it was honestly a sad state of affairs.
Koyou ends up moving on from his own regrets and wakes up IRL
but then he immediately has second thoughts ugh i'm alive, this feels like shit.π
Misa should actually do this too and it isn't untill Sena overhears Yukimaro
shout to someone they hurry back. I honestly think this is written really weirdly
but either way they have to look for a missing piece of her application form
as there's not much time left and she has to move on. They find out her body
is being targeted, Yukimaro gets all overprotective. Sena is convinced
if he finds the fake Misa he will do what is right. In Koyou we trust!
Sena was right, Misa's body has been hijacked and Koyou saw right through it.
They share a quiet moment, when they get her body back he wants them to get together.
Oh for some reason not!Misa was voiced and got her own sprite... nice I guess.
They end up having a misunderstanding, oh joy! but they end up making up rather quickly.
Seiya ends up chiming in to try to solve this mess... and says she must be grateful
for since she's loved by a god because this whole issue of Minami goes back way back.
Koyou vows that he will help take back her life. So anyways he baits fake!Misa
with a date and they all follow them incase something happens.
Koyou took her to a shrine on purpose and it was none other than Minami
I guess this guy was getting bored out of his mind... anyway Koyou believes
in the power of that god aka Touka and he helped out in his own way.
After it is over they go back home together... and things go back to normal.
Sometime later after she graduates they go on a date for real, Misa ended up growing out
her hair and Koyou looked twice as handsome I barely recognized him. WHOMST?!
The parfait is a little big so they eat it together. All's well that ends well.
In the other heaven after end: Koyou ends up acting before they get to the shrine
and he gets trapped in the other world again, they had to go out of their way to find him.
They end up running into the reaper Mei while in there... so they ask him
if he saw anything and he did. Mei leads them straight to Minami.
Koyou ends up injured and Misa rages at Minami who just... walks off saying he's done.
The reaper says something like there's no reason to be sad... since Koyou will
eventually wake up. It takes a while so he scolds her she's being too friendly
with other guys like Yukimaro for example who ends up thirdwheeling.
Koyou says they should run before they get roped into random shit.
Eh... that was kind of lame but I loved Koyou's expression in the CG variation
God after: Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa KOYOU LOOKED SO HANDSOME! new sprite.
I'M SO HAPPY MY BBY! Kyaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
Anyway life mostly goes on just peachy for the both of them, slow and steady.
Koyou wants to be an exorcist of sorts and he ends up an apprentice to Suzura Miko.
Unfortunately she is strict and he hasn't been getting off easy.
Misa is sort of worried about Sena and then Koyou let's out some new info
about the idol group named S-crown. I forgot that Misa can't see him anymore
so Suzura who walked in on them ends up lending a hand. Sena ended up
sharing some dark history from their highschool days. Sena was as popular as ever
even then but one day there was a letter that looked off it seemed cursed so he wants
to take it to the shrine just to be safe and exorcise it. Koyou trolled a lil tho.
Misa being a bit worried over his online persona gets the wrong idea
and ends up calling Koyou an idiot in broad daylight. Her sister overheard
and immediately takes her side and assumes its a fight...
idek why this happened there was no reason for this and Koyou just laughs it off.
She lost balance at some point and he catched her, felt so random but cute moment.
Koyou was a bit evasive sure but if there really was something he'd... contact her. Trust.

This is fine... |
Eventually he asks her to marry him, after much ado she accepts and uh that's that I guess.
While overall the vibe in this after was much gentler it still felt a bit lacking
and there's just not much substance to this, I do like it but yea
I can't in good consciousness recommend a game of 8000k yen for this alone.
The wedding CG sucked, like the faces were OK but Misa had a giraffe neck
how the heck did that pass through QA? classic otomate.
You know I partly don't think the plot in heaven after was bad, it started a bit slow
but it got quite intense... unfortunately the romance was lacking.
Its really obvious to be they focused too much on supernatural shit here
and were like fuck it to giving something that resembles an actual future.
Also gotta love it when the LI is missing and other LI's take up screentime
so it was like which route am I on? Sena? Yukimaro?! Koyou was MIA at times.
Oddly enough the plot did have me on edge and wanted to know wtf was gonna happen
so I can't say I disliked it? sorry if you were hoping for me to shit more on this. xD
That god after though... fucking hell this atleast felt sorta normal compared to the previous
and something that I kinda expected! unfortunately it still lacked some substance but i'll take it.
Not sure why he had a change of sprite though... he looked more mature, I liked it tho.

Sena.
CV: Tetsuya Kakihara.
I'm not much of a Sena fan andI doesn't really remember much except that he
was besties with Koyou and some BS of only able to meet him every now or then.
Sadly I don't remember anything about the heaven end... it started with Koyou crossing over
Sena panics in the last minute and hopes one day he can see him again meanwhile
he is still in limbo with Misa. They go to the underworld and make the most of their time.
Only a matter of time before they ran into Minami... he peers into Sena's soul and sees
some stuff about S-crown aka the idol group he was once part of and how he is forced
to wander as a ghost. Apparently there are other members... a highlight was that
Misa slapped some sense into him after he angsts and makes him remember reality.
Sena ends up facing his past, his presence in S-crown is like 1% out of 99%
but it still meant a great deal to him to be even part of it. Though he wants Misa
to focus on herself too and be able to meet her own family again. Aww.
Eventually they leave the underworld and Misa would like to meet S-crown's members
so in response Sena grumpily replies anyone you know? (Like him)
So he trolls her and then says he's joking heh that's what you get.
I didn't really care about other idols, I would be more interested in seeing
them both move on or something and get over their regrets but seems
the plot had other plans and we get to know Suzaku, Shuri and Soran.
Some bs about some necklace and Shuri caused some problems...
turns out you can hear Sena through it. Sena tries to convince him it ain't him
but Shuri wants to keep his music alive with it. Ugh is this guy stupid?!
Sena loses it and causes spooky signs to show his anger.
They did enjoy a quiet moment under the starry skies but... eh.
Soran be kissing ass with that necklace, voodoo it up and Koyou slips in to touch base.
Awww yea BBY! Best boi Koyou tries to knock some sense into these Sena fanboi's
and tells them to drop it cuz that is what Sena wants. For some reason
they are able to believe Sena is right beside him. Anyways Sena ends up
singing his song, there was an actual BGM track for it which surprised me.
Things seem to calm down after it and that junior idol chilled out
but Sena wants to save them for some reason, sigh. Shuri ends up getting possessed
by someone claiming to be Sena... the real Sena encourages Soran to get through to Shuri
because he is the only one who knows the real one. Suzaku says Shuri is delusional
and Shuri grabs the necklace. They ask Seiya for help and Suzura chips in
who basically solves the entire issue by exorcising whatever possessed him
and giving a brief moment for the three of them to part with Sena.
Now Sena can ascend to heaven and keep making music there. Along with Misa. Ok.jpg
In the other ending: Sena ends up talking to them all and somehow gets through to all of them
but honestly it didn't feel all that different other than him being more grounded I guess.
They all hold one last concert as the four of them; the song is called crown birth.
For some reason they end up holding a wedding at the shrine, mostly everyone is there
and Seiya is the priest. Afterwards they will go to heaven. Idk this felt so random.
I was more convinced with the first heaven ending. Anyway onwards to his god after:
They can only see each other once in a blue moon, so its gonna be cozy.
Sena sure seems to make the most of it and tries to celebrate her birthday.
He wants her full attention during these moments because they can only be so brief.
Sayaka tries to pull off her voodoo BS to try and summon something but what else is new?
Koyou pulls some strings and gets S-Crown to believe Sena is around somewhere
and Shuri is like but he lives on in my heart what is this nonsense?! lol.
Sena briefly gets to tell them they all should move on and that he is watching over them.
Shuri doesn't buy it so Misa yells to his face to take it to heart. Sena's grateful for it.
Well whatever Misa got to vibe with her ghost boyfriend on christmass eve
this isn't much better than playing an otome game so i'm not hating.
I just feel bad for Sena for being stuck like this. π
They both end up getting married... not like he wasn't already tied to Misa
but now its official. This was oddly tragic and I just like got all teary eyed.
Sorry but Sena's heaven after bored me to tears, it was just OK because this development
was good for him but it was a bit of a drag, They're just recycling the plot and characters for
a different turn of events. Maybe its because I am not invested in Sena as much as Koyou.
Gotta add here that S-crown was always part of his character but never so upfront
and maybe it would have been better if even the OG route had more focus on it.
I literally put it on autoplay and just vibed. Not sure what else they could have
done with Sena but this was a real sleeper and I couldn't care about the S-crown stuff.
Heaven after had a lot of... things a fan might want to see energy but it isn't that interesting.
Also for some reason Sena had a different ending theme. His god after was fine?
there wasn't much that they could do anyways with that kinda setup
but I enjoyed it a lot more than the heaven after!
6.5/10
(Would be a 6/10 but that god after made me up it a lil)
Mostly that high because of his god after hitting all those tragic notes, i'm so upset
and not because it was short because it was an absolute tragic mess.
~
Seiya.
CV: Shinnosuke Tachibana.
Honestly he wasn't my favorite and I just did him to get more value out of this.. sequel.
He's like an overseer in the underworld as per usual I did the heaven after first.
As you know it previously ended fairly good, maybe not a perfect end but she ended up
working with Seiya and can sometimes return to visit her family. Felt like part of the setting
was inspired by the kdrama Tomorrow. Like dealing with people that died or commit suicide.
I LOVED THAT SHOW so I was obviously eating this shit up. Seiya was also a bit extra
so I enjoyed that too... Misa's new life in the underworld is just peachy with secret work dates.
Almost sounds too good to be true eh? Minami and Seiya butt heads but seems he's no longer
interested in Misa because her soul isn't that delicious now that she's dead anyways so he
just waltzes off. Sometime later Misa start to lose her shit and Seiya tries to save her...
not sure what happene but it almost looked like she was cursed.
Seiya ends up zapping Minami because he was asleep and he needed to talk.π
Mostly because he picked up on something from last time they met so he figured
he knew something meanwhile Minami is like WTF get out of here, leave!
Seiya is so desperate that he doesn't even mind getting into a contract with HIM
so it must be serious. Too bad Minami ran away because wtf.
They chase him into the human world where he just sat on swing going; shucks.
If this is a good thing idk but he went along with it and made the contract with Seiya.
Things get sort of sad in that Misa might lose her memories but that doesn't stop
Seiya from loving her and she will get to fall for him all over again.
For some reason Sena's idol group drama leaked into here for a hot minute and I was like
nottu dissu shittu again but it was like 1 scene only. Why did they bother?! πππ
Anyway Misa is starting to forget things... but Touka seems to be like a light in the darkness
and says there's still a way to stand up from the dark pit she has fallen into.
Touka gifts her a bit of his power as his final gift to her so she has more chance
to stand against this memory eating demon. I wasn't really sure what was going on
but I hoped for the best because holy shit the dread was real. Seiya tries his best
which was so sweet, he still butted heads with Minami but he's on our side.
but I think he kind of enjoyed the idea of not doing anything and make her fall in love all over again.
Meanwhile I was like wtf... is there no other way?! Seiya tries his best to exorcise this baby out of her.
Apparently the demon's name was Vasago... and Seiya exorcised the fuck out of him, BEGONE!
Minami chips in and ends up devouring Vasago the moment it got out of Misa. Burp~ :X
All's well that ends well, Seiya says he will keep watching over her from here on out
and their peaceful life continues without any memory devouring demon inside of Misa.
Heaven end 2: Instead of exorcising the demon out of Misa, he has her aim his gun to himself
at the shrine because he is like some sort of trigger. Minami ends up stopping them just in time
and Seiya gets knocked out but he rises the moment he hears her being called cute.
In the epilogue Seiya makes Minami study up and life just goes on for everyone.
I didn't really buy what happened in this ending, you can ignore it and nothing of value is lost.
God after: I forgot what happened at this side so I had to look at my own notes...
turns out she lived and Seiya sometimes visited her since he wasn't gonna leave her alone.
They hijacked a church in broad daylight to have their own little wedding.π
Why did this happen in the beginning it felt so random i'm deceased.
Oh well uh life goes on. I think Seiya had the most romantic moments
but even here there wasn't much time, if anything there's more closure?
Seems Misa got the same illness as her dad and Minami came bye to say sucks to be you huh?
Seiya tries to pin the blame on him because he's always been with her.
Minami decides to be nice so he apparently is capable of delaying it...
but he says he did it so because he wants to watch her suffer even more.
Seiya butts-heads with him for a bit, I swear they're both ready to kill eachother.π
Oh well eventually they return to the underworld and they ascend
they finally had their real wedding and lived spookily ever after.
I was pretty invested in the heaven after and its likely one of my fav's next to Koyou's.
Seiya's seiyuu deserves a lot of credit because he outdid himself with this role.
While not my fav i'm still glad I did Seiya's stories... definitely one of the better ones.
Not sure of his god after but it was more of the usual, its over before I knew it.
8/10
~
Minami.
CV: Okamoto Nobuhiko.
I think he grew on me somewhat but I wasn't the audience here.
Heaven after; I don't see the point of this because it ended relatively happy (according to
my own notes anyways) and it just starts with more of the usual shenanigans
of them bickering over minor things but I don't hate, instead i'm enjoying.
Though I was wondering what the problem was gonna be this time...
I quickly realized that Minami was the problem here, I honestly feel bad for Misa.
They ran into Seiya and he immediately starts roasting Minami.
Uh apparently there's a demon killer around and Seiya filled us in on the deets.
Minami shows her there was an attraction with a secret passage to the real world
although her place is now with him, her world still exists. Misa got a bit upset over this.
Misa goes to check up on her family while she's here... even if they can't see eachother
there was a sense of relief. Misa's thankful for this opportunity. Sayaka was apparently
hit pretty hard by Misa's passing so her mom had to slap some sense into her.
Misa tried to visit the shrine and Minami was like I gotta bad feeling
and starts yelling wtf are you trying to kill me bring me here of all places?
Kureha and Uguu mirror-kun showed up and Minami is like whomst?!
even if they introduced themselves he's like okay. They're just passing by.
eventually the two return to the underworld and there's some shit going on...
Misa and Minami have a back and forth which got us nowhere
except Minami boasting about himself, lol. Minami wants to take
something inside of her well you probably already know what that is.
We witness how Touka in the past had saved her, it was the beginning
and the end for a certain demon. Just then something closes in on both of them.
Its Touka... but not the same as he once was. More like a twisted version of him.
Minami fights him so Misa ends up grabbing a bag with a bunch of Kalifa petals and
bumps into Touka who ends up collapsing. Minami got kind of mad cuz that was his share too.
Anyway since they're good kids they reported this to the HO. Seiya still shows his hatred
for Minami it was kinda scary to see him like that. Misa got some new ones to make up
for those they lost taking down that god. The two meet up and make up.
Misa be about to hug him but ends up zapping him due to her holding on to the kalifa's.π
She laughs a little and he just goes what's so funny about me suffering like that?!π
Well despite bickering all the time they sure end up being lovey dovey all the time
so i'm just like get married or something already! meanwhile Seiya airs more grievances.
They go back to the human world for a bit and they ichaicha in Misa's room...
the CG certainly added a spicy touch to it. ISTG Minami is a lucky demon.
She got to see her sister again through dreams through it, showing Touka did a good deed.
I never expected Minami's route to expand on this but it does make sense.
It certainly got emotional with her sister grieving over Misa...
but atleast she got to tell her how much she cares about her.
They continue to look into the past despite Minami's grumbling.
It shows how Touka's blessing ended up slowly being corrupted to the point
it became a double edged sword, a blessing becoming a curse.
Touka himself tried to fight it... and now in the end gets lectured by a demon brat
so he leaves her in Minami's care as there's nothing he can do now.
In the epilogue they eat a cake and uh Minami had a growth spurt so he's no longer
a pipsqueak but a sexy demon. I'm sure there's appeal to this, too bad its over.
Minami thinks he's Alan from CupiPara or something...π
Heaven end 2: Minami whines a lot how he doesn't want to bother with it.
Because they didn't bother the reaper himself now comes after them...
but the end result is the same, just the method is different. Mei ended up being
the one to sever the connection and release Touka, this outcome felt rough.
In the epilogue Minami keeps on being a lil brat, some things never change...
I once again prefer the other ending over this one.
God after: Things are mostly just peachy nevermind Minami just
hangs around her while she goes the school and shit while also going around
saying see that chick? that's my girl! bruh having a normal school life is now impossible.
Actually there was another plan but that involved killing mostly every male student
so he decided to settle for the peaceful way and just notified everyone.π
He says they should maybe just get married so it won't be a problem.
Misa is like no... so then he says okay hurry up and die then.πππππ
He doesn't mean it like that and he's just pouting... but man he has no chill.
Anyway shenanigans continue and Misa's school life is anything but oridinary.
Minami continues to provide Misa with headaches but it was never a dull moment.
In the present, Misa's mind is seen falling unconcious, almost as if something's wrong.
Minami had to go away for a while, Tsuzura is also on the case and more or less
causes Minami to behave, before he goes he told her to take care of Misa.
Tsuzura tries to insist that Minami will come back. Tsuzura a doesn't trust him
but he knows he does care for her. Then she goes on how she met her when she was a kid.
Tsuzura could sense a demon and a god being close to her. Basically now that he's
out and about she made her move and tried to send him back to hell.
Because this happened at a shrine, Touka stopped her since he has his blessing now.
Touka told Tsuzura to get lost and not get involved. Next Minami and Touka had a bitch fight.
Touka threatened him, though Minami does as he pleases and long decided to try to make her happy.
Tsuzura having witnessed this felt obliged to tell Misa. Anyway its revealed that
she has the same illness as her father and will die in the future.
Of course Misa doesn't want to die, he continues about the other rotten bastard
and it was Seiya that figured out Misa would die from an illness.
Turns out he has been doing something naughty and knocked her up...
which is why she felt so weird at times. IS THIS GUY FOR REAL?!
So Minami did some shit which channeled the illness to the unborn kid...
it has to be done at her home and meanwhile Misa gets to have a nice dream.
Misa woke up to Minami trying to convince her mom who walked in on them...π
I'm dying at Minami trying to act proper... anyway's he's staying for dinner.
In the epilogue he shit talksπ their taste of wedding attire but the time has come I guess.
Actually he had the right to talk shit because that wedding dress belongs in the edo period.
Either way not sure if I completely buy it because she could still just be dreaming...
but i'm willing to give Minami the benefit of the doubt here.
Also feels like you gotta use your imagination a lot with the ending because LMAO.
but I was able to enjoy it so I think something went right here.π
There's more effort being put into the underworld routes than some of the others.
Tsuzura was so annoying in that god after though... like who asked?!
I actually thought positively of her in the others but here she was annoying
but maybe it is for the best, maybe because of her things will be daijoubu.
Anyway its a little better than other god afters but not by much
like it had something going but it just cut itself short. Still its hilarious
so I can rate Minami's route as a whole pretty high.
9/10
Wtf happened here...? I don't even like Minami but thought his stories were good.
Also most god afters were kinda just there and then there's Minami...
The hell is this otomate?! also looking back at this after Touka route... LMAO.
~
Koharu.
CV: Azakami Youhei.
I remember him being my favorite from the ayakashi trio but other than that I am drawing blanks.
Felt kinda bad in other routes for him especially when Sayaka tried to do her occult shit.
Heaven side first! Now I am kinda sad to see Minami being potrayed as a bad guy in other
routes however he is kinda a little shit in routes not his own (even then its...π), so deserved.
Apparently Koharu got his own little crib... like one of those one room appartments
well he was excommunicated from his own clan, even then Yukimaro got his back.
Things seem mostly just peachy but also a bit bakamitai. Felt like a proper after story tbh.
We're together like this, in this room and we didn't even do anything... BAKAMITAI
Tsuzura has been meeting with Misa's mom and you can probably guess why at this point...
Vibes were mostly good here even if there may've been issues. I felt pretty relaxed
even though there was some light drama going on, Misa ends up voodoo'ing it up
and summons a furry ayakashi into her room. Now this would be funny if it was Sayaka
but this being Misa was not on my bingo card. Minami hijacks the route
and tries to save her from it. Misa doesn't have much of a choice but to go along with him
to get rid of her furry problem. Where's Koharu when you need him?! T_T
This furry starts blaming Misa for his aniki getting exiled so he's trying to make her atone.
The worst part about this is... furry's actually cute and is just hating for the sake of hating.
Koharu shows up and is like wtf is this shit?! when he hears he was going to kill Misa.
This doesn't happen because even Yukimaro shows up to help get out of this mess.
Yukimaro also starts spanking Koharu for not facing his issues.
Bruh... he's making a man outta him.π
Minami's being a dick and is trying to get Misa to trust him cuz what if things
don't go well soon? hmmm maybe if it was your route but you can stop now honey.
Also its revealed here that not only is Tsuzura an exorcist she is a youkai too
and a pretty high ranking one too, she literally scolds Yukimaro and Koharu
when she figures out what has been going on. That doesn't stop yukimaro
from saying his piece though, she then realized she may have been too harsh on them.
This is the second time but Yukimaro is single-handedly saving this route, I cry.π
Koharu eventually explains everything to Tsuzura who is willing to listen
since she is a reasonable person. Everything was relatively chill I felt no danger
but I think that was the point of the ayakashi routes right...? Touka decides to bless
Misa with one last gift well now we have the power of god and--- at our side.
Furry guy just really admired his aniiiiiikiiiiiii, that's his reason for acting out
i'm sorry but this route's plot is so boring. I didn't care about this much at all
the interactions with Koharu and Yukimaro literally saved it.π
Koharu's clan is pretty wary of humans so we got some xenophobic stuff...
the guys from the clan want to erase her memory so she never met Koharu.
Of course Koharu doesn't want this but they want him to come back.
In the end Koharu has to prostrate himself, take the blame and beg the clan to let her go.π
They're forced to break their previous vow and change it, Tsuzura butts in
during the ceremony and tells the furry she loved him like a kid. He's done some hard living
and Tsuzura took him in when he lost his parents. He turns into a handsome bishie last minute
after hearing those words of affection from mommy. Koharu is like finally furry no more!
Anyway about the ceremony its basically like a marriage, till death do us part etc.
Well they sure made it look serious but they chilled out real quickly... bruh I need a rest.
In the epilogue Misa can still see youkai, so it was a success. Ow well all's well that ends well.
Heaven end 2: They try to convince furry guy that he wasn't abandoned and that he already met
his motheraka Tsuzura Miko. Sadly his father is no longer alive. Furry is grateful for being told this.
Later during the ceremony Koharu is like fuck this shit but still tries to pinch in his own 5cents.
Koharu tries to convince them to just let them be, because at this point they're family
and family does everything for one another. Awww yea bby.
Some people are like yea he did something taboo but hasn't done anything to hurt the clan
so they're like let him go. Even the furry is like just chill alright will you?
They will cast a spell on her but if it fails then they will let it all slide.
Misa still regains her memories of Koharu so they're free. Tsuzura also
had a chat with the elder so most of the situation resolved itself.
When Misa gets back home she gets bitch slapped by her mom..............
well she was very worried about her but not like she could help being taken away.
Her mom approves of Koharu but warns him to not pull these stunts again.
Mommy told them the houserules and when curfew is, please behave.
In the epilogue he moves out of his lil apartment. Next time they will
have a room for themselves. They just skipped ahead to their wedding. UwUb
God after: Starts with Misa in a hospital room... oh probably the illness shit again.
Koharu visits her on this special day and he brought that voodoo paper with him....
she wanted it. Its a memory of the past afterall. They have made a lot of memories since then.
Like eating that strawberry shortcake together... unfortunately she doesn't have much time left.
Koharu says he is going to do something taboo which will make it so he is with her
till the last moment. For some reason the furry guy showed up too like we didn't deal
with this guy enough in the heaven after.π Apparently due to things being like they are
there is no issue now. Anyway Koharu is ayakashi and Misa is a human, they're not the same.
The reality of it is, Misa gets old. I think what's more important here, is that they loved
eachother no matter what. Aww yeah! his clan found out... but Koharu settles things.
They had plenty of wonderful memories... but I didn't enjoy it much due to
having Misa watch succumbing to her illness. Koharu was really sweet though.
I guess what Touka did in the past was delay the illness so it doesn't happen till later...
but the game is rather inconsistent in showing the severity of it so some of these
after stories hit harder than others and are just plain sad. I suppose the bottom line is
even if Misa is blessed by god aka Touka he can't perform miracles.
Koharu blames himself for not finding out sooner, oh great.
I suppose they wanted to write a story that explains somethings just happen.
Sometimes you get an illness and cannot be cured. I see...
So if Misa hadn't experienced what she had, she would have died much sooner.
Due to Koharu's being from a specific clan there is a way out for Misa
but its basically becoming like him aka an ayakashi.
Koharu ends up taking her as his wife through a ritual, its the only way.
Misa accepts it leaving her human life behind to join the world of the ayakashi.
TL;DR God can't help you anymore but an ayakashi can. π
Heaven after; had so much stupid guy energy but eeeeh it was just OK.
Nothing amazing here compared to underworld routes.
Gonna be real I don't think there was actually much of a problem this route
but it had to have something right? for me this route doesn't rank very high and isn't
much better than Kureha, Hibiki or Sena. Kinda like Koyou. I loved the beginning
and slower moments though! but at times I was like why is this an issue? meh.
The god after was awful it didn't hit the same way as Sena... not bittersweet, just sad.
This shit made me depressed... and then the epilogue was a relief.
6.9/10
Would be higher but the heaven side was a bit of a drag.
~
Yukimaro.
CV: KENN.
either way heaven after first! me looking at my OG review realizing I only
wrote two sentences for it...π ANYWAY shenanigans continue!
I wasn't really sure what the plot would be about but vibes were mostly chill.
Minami is a lil shit as per usual and pretty much the only threat here...
good thing Yukimaro and Touka are here. He got no chance but makes his time.
Yukimaro ends up as a ghost temporarily but have no fear for he is still here!
They found Seiya wangsting at the shrine, he's praying in hopes of meeting his lover.
Seiya's mental health has been declining so he's resorting to this.π
Misa is confused at the sight of this ghastly man. They hide untill he leaves.
Yukimaro ends up calling him a creeper weirdo. (Wtf is a hentai menhera?) I know
menhera is slang for mental health but I can't translate this as anything but creeper weirdo.
I don't think there was much of a plot, Yukimaro stays close to Misa cuz of Minami...
he event slept in the same room. Atleast there were no random new side characters
to take away from these type of moments UwUb. Chill route was mostly chill.
Touka explains that Yukimaro is her Ayakashi, hers alone.
Due to that she can see past the veil. Sadly it seems Yukimaro doesn't
have a lot of time due to being stuck like this so Touka wants him to return to what
he's like before. As long as he protects her from the demon there's no issue.
Touka is confident the two of them will sort it out just fine. Nothing really happened
just vibe & chill. I thought the plot was the most boring out of all routes.
Maybe even worse than Sena's but in return there were a lot of moment with Yukimaro.
Anyway I sleep. I would write more but Yukimaro's after had very little going for it
at most there was a lil angst due to their situations but it was rather peaceful.
I was about to doze off when that creepy guy from four routes ago showed up, his name
is Kouga and is like Yukimaro a Zashiki-warashi, I don't trust him at all.
Misa ends up breaking off her contract and entering a contract with him
which upsets Yukimaro, this is because of the warning Touka gave her
and Kouga appeared to be somewhat convincing and bearing no ill will.
Misa decides she has to tell him that continueing as is... won't do.
Yukimaro seems to get she did it for him but Kouga doesn't quite understand.
Kouga seems to be sensible and disappears... maybe he's not so bad?
Yukimaro walks her home but he's still a bit conflicted. Despite that he hugs her.
Life goes on I guess... but i'm about ready to tune out. Zzz.
Sayaka shares some scary stories which seems to relate to a certain ayakashi...
bruh well I guess this fits right in with the spooky season. Shenanigans continue.π΄
Minami shows up and says that ayakashi is nothing and she should just accept him instead.
He says its gonna be problematic if she dies now and Misa wakes up to Kouga poking her...
he says he's protecting her but now I don't really trust this new guy.
Misa realizes Sayaka's rambles were connected to Kouga...
but despite being a lil twisted he's not entirely bad. Yukimaro returns
to being a proper Zashiki-Warashi by this time and the two switch places.
Kouga peacefully leaves... because he has come to understand their feelings.
Touka is grinning from the sidelines, acting like nothing happened at all.
Okay if this wasn't a nothing burger I don't know what is. I literally went
UGH YES its FINALLY over! NO what do you mean there is an EPILOGUE?!
Heaven after end 2: Not much different, except we tell Yukimaro there's no need to worry.
Well of course Yukimaro is the one and only for Misa, Kouga pouts a lil
as Yukimaro restores the pact they once had without the negative effect.
Minami is still a problem but when she wakes up she has Kouga crying
his eyes out and worrying over Misa... Yukimaro says he smelled a demon
but says everything is okay now. Misa seems to think so too, well if they say so!
Minami did seem scary... so not sure if I buy it... Yukimaro hands her a drink
that will offer more protection for her... demon problem. Kouga seems convinced.
Well anyway all's well that ends well and nothing else stood out to me, good night.
In the epilogue they marry, in the main menu dialogue he says he has become
a human to make this happen, hench the shorter hair in the CG.
his bride at the end of the OG there's no drama like in Koharu's after.
Its basically just them enjoying their lives as newly weds.π
That includes remembering stuff like Misa graduating highschool...
for some reason Kouga crawled his way into this which lead to Yukimaro
crying about it but there's not much to worry about. He's here to help.
Other than that it was just a nice chill after, nothing more to say about it.
Okay heaven after was fairly chill with some light drama, I don't hate it
and it can be good if you want something calmer but eh idk for the first time
I think they really did not have much material and we basically got
a nothing burger, like they still had to meet their quota or something. R.i.P.
OK maybe that's too harsh maybe a bun with cheese on it?
His god after was a lot better though, it was nice and made me warm.
7.5/10
Only this high because of the chill vibes really.

Touka.
CV: Amasaki Kouhei.
Tengu stalker-kun... I remember his route being good to wrap up some plot threads
but other than that was far too short to enjoy any romance or much else.
Touka only got one after story, it follows up on the one where he turned human
its a god after but with the pacing of a heaven after. Due to this I liked it more.
Life goes on, there's still all sort of strange rumors and Sayaka eats them all up
and relays them to Misa... but its mostly going just peachy pun intended.
Minami is still pretty much a villain this route... but what else is new? he pretty much
is the antagonist is its not his own route. Knowing him I don't even consider them
a threat anymore but he can try, Touka himself can be a bit scary...
its not Minami you should be worried about tbh.
Honestly I don't really like Touka in his route, though I get he cherishes her
I just got so many bad vibes in his own route. There were moments I was like yikes.π
Although I was wondering what they would do about Misa's illness... but I don't
think they went fully into this... unlike Koharu's. Touka said that without her life
would be meaningless, she's the beginning and end. He's like to stay together
till she dies and go into eternal rest. ISTG this is so heavy but Misa is being reasonable
and tries to set his ass straight which leads him to think about what's right for himself
whether as human or god. Yukimaro and Koharu are real bro's, though main issue
is trying to deal with Minami. Also it suffers from true route syndrome by trying to tie
everyone into it... thank you Touka for calling Seiya cool but also saying to be careful.
Minami ends up snatching Misa to the underworld and everyone helps out(or tries to).
Misa was surprisingly proactive in trying to make the most of the situation!
Touka relies on his bro's to help him get to the underworld they leave but Misa is able to
see random spirits during the day so she has to deal with getting spooked 24/7.
We find out Hibiki knew Koharu (he once knew a human) cuz truth route syndrome.
Next time she sleeps she meets Minami in her dreams and he threatens both
of them, he is very angry and will send Touka to heaven. Due him setting a time limit
Misa tries to get as many of her ghost friends on her side, most have no reason to refuse.
Grandpa from the shrine felt like something is wrong like a lot of spirits had gathered
but they're trying to get Touka to reawaken and for that they need a lot.
Yukimaro says its enough but it might still take some time...
at night she has another dream and Touka is there with Minami.
In the end Minami takes a blow which makes him stand down...
the next day Touka has woken up thanks to their efforts the previous day.
Touka then scolds Misa for acting so reckless back then and doesn't want her to do it again.
He was so jelous that Misa teased him for it. Then he makes her swear that she loves him.
In the epilogue Misa has to deal with a certain angel and a devil who are butting heads at a cafe
Misa works at. Minami's out to settle it IRL because ain't no way he's losing to this guy.
Though they managed to keep it civil and later Touka let's it slip he wants to marry her
but there was no fast forward or a CG to celebrate this thought. (Unlike other LI's)
Other ending: Misa says she will kill that thing with her own hand...
Touka doesn't like that idea as he prefers her hands clean.
Though for some reason he is happy she hates it as much as he does.
Touka decides its better for him to return to being a god and love her like that and also
apologizes for his behavior as her stalker. With his powers he punishes Minami.
Minami doesn't leave it at that though and rebels like a furball because he literally is one now.
Although he is no match for Touka. Everything returns to normal
Touka's about to return to becoming a guardian deity but not before Misa can tell him
she was okay with his behavior and he let's her love him even at his worst.
In the epilogue: Life goes on, Minami pays her a surprise visit in her dreams
when she refuses his offer to play, Touka appears from her pokΓ©ball and repels him.
Because as things are Touka is now her dream stalker, keeping her ever safer from her demons.
Minami disagrees vehemently and thinks he should be the only one to enter her dreams.
Minami and Touka continue to butt heads but what else is new? this continues everyday.
There was no CG because Touka is like OG Kureha who doesn't get epilogue CG's. π
7/10
Well this wasn't too bad, about as good as Koyou, I wasn't bothered by
the pacing making me feel like I was some grandma reminiscing.
Honestly much like the OG and this being route 9 I was a bit done
with the game but I hung in there to see the conclusion with Touka! What's so hilarious
about both of Touka's ends is that ultimately Minami just continues being a brat.
Anyway so yea uh Misa either dies from an illness and goes to heaven with her ghost boyfriendo(Kureha,Hibiki,Seiya and Sena) or marries an ayakashi and enjoy long life.
There's Koyou but its too depressing to think about and Minami had his own way
but we will never know because LOL imagination. Not sure about Touka but prolly RiP Bozo.

Heaven after ranking:
Seiya > Minami > Koyou > Koharu > Kureha / Hibiki > Yukimaro > Sena.
Sena I am sorry but I sleep! even Kureha's was more interesting than idol dramatique.
Somehow Yukimaro was about as Zzz as Sena, I didn't think it was possible. π
God after ranking:
Koharu / Yukimaro > Sena(LMAOπ) > Minamiπ > Koyou / Touka> Seiya > Kureha / Hibiki.
The hell can't even place my best boy first because some others were way better.
Koharu, the message was good but it was depressing... if not for the epilogue it would be last.
I didn't even like Touka that much but he ranks about the same as Koyou.
Fav character:
Koyou > Koharu > Yukimaro > Minami > Seiya > Touka > Sena > Hibiki > Kureha.
Kureha... you're fine my dude but... you're also just kinda there, same for Hibiki.
Yukimaro was lower but he single-handedly saved Koharu's heaven route from being
a dumpster fire and I realized I like him more than Minami so it is what it is.
Koyou and Koharu are best boi's. After Touka's route i'm honestly like Minami BBY.

Final thoughts
Well... it does close off the story fairly well however I don't think they had
all that much material to work with and you may need to do certain afters
to understand why things are the way it is. The stuff they expanded upon
was not bad, sadly due to not being invested into everyone to begin with
I think its still a bit of a mixed bag. This really is the end for 9 rip because there's
very little they could tell. I could feel the writer struggle to keep it interesting.
I expected the god afters to be happier and some were (kinda) but... others felt like
I was some dying grandma looking back at my life with my hubby.πππ
Some did explain plot details better... while others just glossed over stuff
so its worth doing everything. The heaven afters was where the meat of the game was
but it varied whether or not I thought it was well done. There were some
stinkers in there... but that's life can't like everything!
Don't think anything was truly awful, at best it ranged from OK-ish to good or great.
I still liked Kureha's heaven after because Hinagiku was like family
and one of the ends was very bittersweet for the couple.
This felt perfect for the both of them I don't even care if it wasn't a truly happy end.
Though as a poster boy I think Kureha is a bit weak compared to others...
The god afters are a bunch of loosely connected chapters though considering
there's not much they could write anyways the format may actually be good.
More side characters can be nice but there were some heaven afters that were annoying...
They introduced Takumi but I barely could give a damn and the highlight of Hibiki's
whole heaven after was Hibiki doubling down on Minami which was peak fiction.π
I can't even be too mad about any of the downsides because its better than nothing.
7/10
At the end of the day if you're very invested into the universe of 9rip and want
more contents for Seiya,Minami or Koyou as well as explore every angle this is good.
I find it funny that the only god afters that stuck with me were Sena & Koharu's which is weird
because I wasn't even a Sena fan. Either way 9RiPs was a beautiful tale of life and death.
Amon did their best to close it off properly but I can't help but think they said fork it at times.π

Anyway this was probably my last new otome game of the year.
Not completely sure if unlogical is my thing. I saw glass heart princess will
get a switch port so that's something to look forward to.
If I end up playing another otome before the end of the year its likely
something I initially skipped on but I think i'll go retreat to RPG land.
Now I will leave you all with a meme in terms of how bright their futures with Misa are.
