Well its here! the FD to Birushana or Bilshana (depending on how you spell it).

I'm surprised it got a FD but it did do pretty well so its only natural.

I kinda did wonder if it was really needed or not... as release draw close but its better

than something never getting a FD... like Hana Oboro for example.

 Aside from the usual after stories the fd also has routes for some of

the side characters that only had mini routes in the original.

 

Pro's

- After stories are diverse and suit the characters.

- New routes give those characters plenty of substance.

- Gorgeous artwork.

 

Con's

- After's get less Cg's than the new routes...

 

The OP movie is pretty good, definitely the type i'd just let play.

Its just a standard VN, After stories don't have any choices and its mostly just chill

and fluff as you get to enjoy some time with your husbando.

New routes do have choices but cuz of the love catch its easy to tell which is the

best choice and thus making it easier to get both endings.

Right after I downloaded the game from the jpn eshop I dived into Benkei's route

and well I already was satisfied in the romance department! even if he was not my fav.

 

After's aren't that long either... I think the length was about two hours depending

on your reading speed. There's not much to work with so don't expect too much

except some fluff and wrapping up some loose ends, as well as some horniness?

some had it on the lvl of oh god just fuck already?!

As for the new routes... they do a pretty good job of giving those guys more substance!

they are like a full route in the original game so we get to spend plenty of time with them.

Before starting on this I wasn't that hyped for the new routes cuz I was fine with 

what we got in the original and there wasn't much to them except

Shigehira but Tsugunobu really grew on me and ugh he's now my best boi!

With this I think the content value of this game is pretty good and will last a bit unless you binge...

The new routes get more cg's than the afters which could be disappointing! for afters 

there were only 3/4 cg's (with variation) and one bonus with the guy in present day clothing.

The new routes also follow some of the general plot of the original because again its about

the genpei war, you can't expect them to suddenly make it about something else

which is good because it was consistent in making room for the new-old friends.

I think that in general something Birushana is good at is concistency, there's minimum holes

in its plot they might be there but once you did all it really did make sense.

Of course its not perfect... and there's definitely some problems but I really do love

this series and its cast, it was great to spend more time with them.

If I had to be really honest neither of the Satou brothers were particularly interesting

in terms of plot, Takatsuna was slightly more interesting cuz he's Yoritomo's retainer but don't do

these routes expected new and exciting plot revelations cuz that's not what they're here for.

They're basically here for another romance option... someone for Shana to be happy with

which was nice in its own way, personally I did enjoy spending time with Tsugunobu.

For play order I did want to try to alternate the afters with the new routes which was: 

Benkei >  Shungen > Tsugunobu > Tadanobu > Noritsune > Takatsuna >Yoritomo>Tomomori >Shigehira.

Anyway Birushana FD is a great treat for fans that want a little something extra

I wasn't disappointed with the additional romance for some of the guys cuz some of them needed it.

The stories are diverse and suit the characters, in that sense Birushana doesn't disappoint.

Maybe I am being too positive but if I like it, I like it. There's not much to complain about either

except maybe the CG count for the after stories but it seems they wanted to focus more on the

side characters new routes anyway its better to have quality over quantity and its not like

the after's were bad... I mean the guys getting hornier is a good thing no?

 

I could understand some people not giving two fucks about those guys having new routes but maybe

it will surprise you & you'll end up with a new best boi, i'm speaking from experience here.

So overall me thinks depending on what you're here for that this

is a pretty good FD to compliment the original!

as I will write a little about the after stories/new routes from this point onward, so if you plan

to play either the original game in english/jpn or this FD I recommend to stop reading here!!!

 

 

 

After Stories

 

Benkei.

CV: Umehara Yuuichiro.

 Daddy Benkei is back hotter and steamer than ever... unfortunately I am not a huge fan of him

in the romantic way but still they are now husbando and waifu and c'est la vie!

They sure did get chummy..... idk most if the time I was like just fuck already or something???!!

maybe I should stop calling him daddy benkei, just kill me aaaaaaa~~ not judging or anything cuz

its ok to just like to like older men and have a daddy kink. They travel round the mountains and when

Shana gets wet from what was it rain? he tells her to strip and they get cozy around the campfire.

Uuurgh this is too wholesome my heart can't take this. Other than that its mostly tying up

loose ends as they prepare for a banquet. Benkei basically turns into an overprotective husbando

who gets jealous cuz she talked to some old friends like Shungen which leads to him being horny.

There were some folks going hmmm at Shana/yoshitsune but Benkei was like

hmph! this is my wife and I will fight for her! They eventually gave their blessing to them.

Benkei does get a kiss cg... just the one its part of the same cg below.

 Overall I think this was all okay, cuz Benkei didn't get a whole lot of romance in the original

(hench the dad jokes) so him getting some time along with some quality smooching

is actually something that was needed. There's not much they could've worked with

and I can kinda joke around with the drama/plot too but I really couldn't

find much to write about other than lol daddy kink! to oh no he's horny?! 😂

 

Shungen.

CV: Saito Souma.

 Another character I was not that big on, like I think he's cool as a support but all I remember

was a switcharoo and him basically taking care of everything because she is a woman... >_>

Things happened and they were presumed dead after the battle of dan no ura

no one knows they actually survived and are now living happily ever after, haha unless?!

Nah they're pretty chummy with each other in the uguu shack of love wherever that is.

Unfortunately Shungen was more horny than Benkei... and Shana too much of a tsun which was

kinda cute to watch. Ugh honestly this was too much for me and I wanted to turn of my switch.

He performed on his flute for some villagers while Shana did some dance...

some girl may have recognized them despite their use of an alias.

Benkei's gang figures out that they may be alive via rumors.... so they go follow them

cuz they all would love to see them again. Apparently that girl knew Shungen

and has liked him for a long time, he's like thanks?! Shana wonders why but its

probably cuz of the performance and him being nice or whatever.

Then she gets injured during a performance and then the girl visits them....

Turns out its not HIM that she liked but HER, yea she was captivated by Chitose's(Shana) beauty.

After she leaves and things settle down Shana and Shungen make out.. >_>; 

 Later some thugs attack them while they were out at night, Shungen gets them to spit out why...

and they're just some ex soldiers, Shungen figures its because of this tsukinosuke guy

so they go settle things with the genji and its just TL;DR I almost fell asleep

they get Chitose to perfom at their banquet. They all find out about yoshitsune

and can barely comprehend this truth. >_>; When they end up leaving this town

that woman who had a crush on Chitose will be just fine as long as she's out there somewhere.

Shunjou also has his share of fangirls... and he's like haha thanks. 

Yoritomo and Benkei's gang find out the rumors of Chitose while Shana and Shungen

get lovey dovey in the next town over but hey atleast they didn't forget about Benkei's gang.

At this point I literally just went oh god just fuck already!?(they did) Shana was so tsun

and Shungen so horny its not even funny, not even Benkei's after had it this bad.

 I am not a Shungen fan and still though this was actually pretty good  maybe its cuz it didn't

end up being what you were gonna think which is good I liked this sort of unpredictability.

Also lol at how horny Shungen was... if Benkei was at 100% then Shungen was 200%.

and he even gets 2 kiss cg's so if you like this guy rejoice I guess?!

Not sure why they had to have some random chick without a name have a crush on Shana though

thank you for some random yuri subtext no one asked for?! in a fd of an otome game no less.

Why didn't they put this energy into the hamefura game where it would actually be welcomed?

Like it would be slightly better if the character in question had a sprite or a name...

but no its some throwaway character with an innocent crush. <_<;

At the end of the day, Shungen's a little too clingy/possessive for my tastes

even if it could be endearing in a way I much prefer him on the supportive side.

Noritsune.

CV: Kawanishi Kengo.

 Uh... yea the only thing I remember from the original was that it was a nice

hate to love/rivalry type of route.😅 These two are more have become adjusted to

living in a village and are enjoying their day to day lives which was cute to see.

Considering how much fighting his original route had... this was much welcomed

Noritsune was pretty horny which is nothing new but what was really funny was Shana

started to get horny too and reciprocated quite early on. Anyway they be about to get it on

but Noritsune gets cold feet. Tomomori and Shigehira ends up visiting them too...

the latter figures they're not exactly welcome here. LMAO.

After Noritsune leaves the room for a moment the two start roasting him hard... and also start

flirting with Shana because they know... how to turn him into a man he's just not ready yet.

Noritsune comes back and tells em to fuck off... he's just jealous and it just fuels his passion.

 Shana was also a bit insecure cuz she left the way of the samurai behind and can no longer fight

they kind of end up misunderstanding each other but they got through it...

One of the kids from the town goes missing so they end up helping out, turns out

its bandits so they take them out too. With that settled Noritsune is even more determined

not just now but in the future too. He's finally become a man has he? but omg the lvl of

omg just fuck already was high the only thing that stops Noritsune was basically his lvl of respect

for her and not wanting to hurt her and then there's Shigehira/Tomomori teasing em

but let's be real they were actually helping them it just came off as trolling 80% of the time.

Awkward kissing noises

 Basically this route was him wanting to fuck but anxieties that lead to some drama

b4 they actually fucked. His kiss cg was the worst so far, also what was up with those

awkward kissing noises?! haven't heard something like that in a good while.

Anyway I wasn't the biggest fan of Noritsune but his after was while not the best still nice

but I think I could have done without half of it though. Side note it may seem like

Noritsune gets one more cg than Benkei/Shungen but its pretty much a variation of another

which was kinda lame but I guess they couldn't fit it any more variations with the other one.

Yoritomo.

CV: Furukawa Makoto.

 My surprise favorite! I remember absolutely loving his route cuz despite him being hard to read

at first but his backstory/plot was good however there were a few problems

and the best end was pretty much this is as happy as its gonna get.

It starts with him finding a spaced out Shana... and he sorta wants her to see him

more as a man not as a brother. He's 300% horny for Shana and can't contain it no longer.

The shogun plans for Yoritomo to be wed... if he doesn't like who is presented he could choose another.

Shana over hears that there are plans for Yoritomo to be wed as well which makes her uncertain.

When they're out on a walk Shana offers him spring walk and he gets extra thirsty saying

Shana is even more delicious while licking her hand. Shana is like damn... what's up with him?!

 Yoritomo wants Shana to give herself to him and he can barely contain himself.

Basically Yoritomo isn't interested in any other woman than her... but she's all like

what of your status?! as Yoritomo just wants to get it on cuz there's no one else here but them.

Meanwhile I am here like oh my god just fuck already?! yes it was that bad and here I thought

some of the others were bad with this, Yoritomo just ends up on another level.

Yoritomo full well understands he has his duty... and marrying his siste-err brother?! would make

things very complicated. Shana's still determined to walk the path of a samurai at his side.

I mean we kinda knew this at the end of the original... that it wouldn't be easy.

Yoritomo ends up presenting Shana to the Shogun and reveals the truth of Shana to him

Hidehira shows up too, Shogun be like huh there's only men here wtf is this shit Yoritomo.

Long story short, Yoritomo presents Shana as Hidehira's daughter... lmao wut.

Shogun says this is a sham and ya'll are sus. Yoritomo be like i'm not joking

there is no blood relation between me and Yoshitsune/Shana. Well he's right on that...

and now mr shogun emperor whatever his name was believes him and allows it.

Anyway now Shana's to be wed to Yoritomo everyone comes to congratulate here too.

At night he gets a bit angry when Shana had some doubts about the whole deal with the shogun

so he's like bitch you want me to marry someone else then? Shana starts crying

when she honestly says how she feels cuz it wasn't like that man and they make out

well making out would be putting it mildly i'm pretty sure they fucked.

Yoritomo got a bit possessive too which was kinda endearing.

Hmm... while I thought the story here was kinda typical it did feel right for Yoritomo

and I enjoyed seeing him so thirsty. I think out of all so far this is my fav.

At the end of the day this was also quite adorable... and it was the best way to finish their story.

The only thing I had a problem with was his voice but maybe I just forgot how emotionless

or one-note he is supposed to sound so to me Furukawa's acting sounded like he was bored.

Tomomori.

CV: Jun Fukuyama.

 That one horny guy... who was just thirsty for Shana when it wasn't even his route! Honestly

considering how horny the other guys I was worried that he's either not as horny or too much.

Other than that his route at the original more or less solved the remaining plot threads 

and I was satisfied by the end of it all. I wasn't sure what to expect from this after story at all.

Shana now married to Tomohorny is enjoying her peaceful life but still misses her companions

so she wants to visit them, he gets a bit jealous at the thought of his wife being among other men

so he flips the script for a second what would she think if he was among other women? So he asks

to let him think about it for a moment before picking Shana up and returning her to her room.

Anyway he let's her see her friends but only if he can tag alone to tell them all she's his wife.

After the visit is over Shana starts tripping balls and hearing voices of someone

calling for their mommy and then Rengetsu/Tokuko shows up turns out it was a nightmare.

Tomomori goes to comfort her and helps her eat some food... while getting all kissy

cuz he loves her very much. Since she can't sleep because of the weird visions

so he stays with her till she does. Shana starts acting weird and distant so he's getting worried

even more when he figures its because of the BS with tokuko. So then it becomes obvious

Tomomori just has the one braincell and the only thing he really likes is Shana  actually

we already know this but he wants to know more of Shana so her world can be more vibrant.

Tomomori doesn't want her to suffer cuz of the past and wants to create more memories together.

Tomomori tries to help her have better dreams so why not make out in there?!

he also tells her to stop being so tsun and its really just them in here.

 Sometime later Yoshitune gets a letter from someone but Tomomori is one step ahead

and tries to find out who it is that is sending them, its Yoritomo if he has some bad intent

then Tomomori will make sure he's sorry. NGL he's kinda scary.

Tomomori walks into their meeting demanding answers while pointing his sword at Yoritomo

and Shana is like wait I just wanted to meet my brother and settle some things.

They go meet the shogun and get to see Antoku after... Tomomori says if anything

just wants to make sure the boy is happy cuz they share blood as well as that weird saiyan power.

After that's all over Tomomori just makes it clear he wants to protect her and all. Shana finally

tells him about what her dream was about. He says there's nothing to fear really.

Turns out that dream was cuz Tomomori casually mentioned having kids but Shana doesn't blame him.

To him just being  alive with he aside is happiness enough. so he wants her to stop overthinking

about the fact a power that can only be used for killing sleeps within them.

They can definitely live normal lives... even with kids as long as they have parents

who love them it might turn out alright and they too can be happy.

Tomomori still apologizes for getting the wrong idea with the letter

but he really loves and cares about her. At this point he's like 300% horny too

and it turns into another case of omg just fuck already (turns out they did).

They tried to view the fireflies at night but Shana got unwell so he rushed her back to bed...

turns she wasn't really such but it was cuz she was pregnant and soon she'll meet their kids.

Some fireflies seems to have gotten lost and reached her room too... hahaha. 

 I thought Tomomori's after was alright... it did take on one loose end which I wasn't

even really thinking about but that doesn't make it less valid. It does show there's not much

to work with yet again but it was still a real issue that they didn't go into in the original.

His bonus CG cracked me up and none of the other guys got that reaction out of me

though they were still nice. I had some fun with it though... but damn atleast they actually fucked.

I do think in other routes Tomomori is creepy but in a funny way, atleast when you actually

do his route he is quite the sweetheart which imo makes it a lot better.

New routes

 

Satou Tsugunobu.

CV: Kondou Takashi.

I liked him more than his brother Tadanobu and that's why I decided to do him first!

Also LMAO I apparently spelled this guy's name wrong in the original games review wtf is a

tadatsugu?!I don't even blame myself cuz 1, they're brothers 2, there wasn't much to them back then.

Tsugunobu is very calm and collected, more often than not a voice of reason in the group

perhaps a little flirty as well.  If you know the tale of the heike, history isn't exactly kind to him...

so I wasn't looking forward to his sad end cuz Tsugunobu really grew on me.

The brothers find her out in the woods one night, Tadanobu attacked her only to be scolded

by his brother. Shana ends up going along which was for the best. I wasn't too invested

in the plot/war bits but I enjoyed the scenes with Tsugunobu mostly cuz he is a good friend...

he listens to Shana's troubles and gives her advice wait what would he be like as a lover? 😳

 Also this mfucker figured Shana was a woman when they first met so he played a trick on her

to test it at least he did apologize for lying to her and the secret's safe with him

that and he really respects her for standing with them in hiraizumi. He swears his loyalty to her

and will act as her shield- OH NO ugh as this route went on I really fell hard for Tsugunobu.

If the confession of respect wasn't enough these two just become lovebirds and the only

thing stopping them is the war really. Tsugunobu treats Shana like a queen

Eventually he does express that something blossomed with in him...

so he gifts her a white flower hairpin and says that he has feelings

but he doesn't want to rush it and asks to forgive him for being so forward.

Tsugunobu becomes her kashin(vassal/retainer) so he can fight at her side.

 During a battle he ends up shielding her... ending up injured they change their plan slightly

using the river to their advantage. Oh man he's true to his word I can't! what a sweetheart. 😭

After the battle, Tsugunobu gets honored for his bravery but he's not doing so good and Shana

tries her best to help, which somehow worked even tho everyone thought he was a goner.

Shana ends up crying in his arms... cuz omg you idiot don't you go dying on me now

he tells her to stop crying cuz her beautiful tears shouldn't be wasted on him or sth like that.

WHY IS HE LIKE THIS?! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA~

 While he's recovering they become more honest with their feelings for each other as well

and at this point I am just like kiss already?! its so embarrassing to see them at this point

tl;dr war stuff aside they go and fight the heike side by side.😊

During the battle, Tsugunobu ends up in a situation he's about to take a blow again but Shana

doesn't want him to get hurt again so she takes the hit of Noritsune's arrow. The truth

of Shana comes out and  Shungen ends up taking Shana's place much like in his own route

at the original and tells Shana that her life is hers to live as she wants. That solves a lot of problems.

Shana is like wait... but Tsugunobu is like girl its free choice! he kinda understand that the truth

shocks her that she is not of the genji... but that doesn't change who she is or changes his feelings

and formally confesses his feelings of affection that she is his number one, everything he is is hers.

He also said he fell for Shana pretty early on... and truly had her best interest at heart.

They travel back to Hiraizumi but Benkei is like hold up you guys, isn't it lonesome by yourselves

banter aside they be wishing them all the best before they go on their way.

Tsugunobu really can't imagine life without her so he asks for her hand in marriage too...

and at this point who would say no to the man who has been such an emotional pillar of support?

 Tragic end: They end up joining the battle but only if she makes sure to make it out alive...

they split ways and Tsugunobu ends up searching for the heirloom thingy, he finds it

but some genji mook ends up stabbing him in the back. OMG NOOOOO.😭😭😭

Tsugunobu ends up trying to fight them all off cuz they also plan to go after Yoshitsune/Shana...

he desperately tries to reunite with Shana to fulfill his promise but dies trying.😭

Well who would have thought I would like this route so much? this is definitely

much better than what he got in the original game! it also felt like an otome game

and the war bits weren't too intrusive, sure she got to sit out on some stuff

but she got to be with the person she cares about who in turn was head over heels for her.

Fate isn't exactly kind to Tsugunobu... and maybe the best end was a little too good to be true

but they got to be happy and that is more than enough for me! and also what I wanted.😄.

Idk how else to describe this route but it could be considered cheesy? in a good way of course.

Satou Tadanobu.

CV: Konishi Katsuyuki.

 Tadanobu is the opposite of his brother and basically a total himbo. anyway this guy lives in 

the shadow of his brother because that is all I can think about really. The route starts with

the usual Tomohornyness cuz he saw her secret power so he keeps chasing her.

Wait are we sure this isn't Tomomori's route? Benkei and his monks end up helping her out.

Tadanobu keeps being rejected by girls but he still loves them nonetheless....

also he is kinda dumb but in a cute way, I wouldn't want to cross him either.

Shana ends up talking to Tadanobu about her problems... he just tells her she's overthinking it.

Tadanobu ends up telling a little bit more of himself and that he isn't from Hiraizumi

even tho he likes the town and the people there. So wherever she's from shouldn't matter either.

They find some folks living in the mountains and they want to talk... Tadanobu is like haha no

but Shana tells him to give em a chance. Apparently they're the last of their clan

and to ask them to leave them alone, they won't attack Hiraizumi with these numbers anyway.

Huh something is fishy here... WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE. Yasuhira is pretty pissed when he hears

about those Emishi folk. His dad tells him to chill. Sometime later Shana ends up taking a bath

in the mountain springs and Tadanobu walks in on her..... WHY?! Wait... hold up Shana is a woman?!

 S-sorry to bother you and he ran off.... and awkwardness ensued oh btw the mountain hobos

made that bath for the women there, Tadanobu starts blurting out Shana is cute too.😂 They

continue to hide from heike troops alongside the hobos and Tadanobu becomes a bumbling idiot

forgetting even that she is a samurai doing it of her own free will, Shana had to spell it out him

cuz he became so overprotective now that he knows. Tadanobu ends uo apologizing

for being selfish and wants to fight at Shana's side as a retainer/vassal. Tsugunobu

ends up interrupting him and says he's coming along too, no butts.(What a good brother...)

When they travel along with Benkei and Shungen they get on the topic of how

annoying Tadanobu is... and well they all agree even Shana, LMAO.

 The romance was kinda sappy in this route... it was too obvious he was into her

but Shana is so tsun, good part is that Tadanobu realizes how much of an idiot he is

for not noticing she's having an internal crisis so he tells her he loves her for who she is

and doesn't care what she presents herself as. Shana faces off against heike troops

and Tomohorny is back he's been waiting for it lmao. Tadanobu ends up whiteknighting

like he promised cuz he can't forgive him for making her frustrated but since Tomomori

has his super saiyan powers he doesn't stand much of a chance but still tries.😅

Shana ends up unleashing her power because they can't match Tomomori which just makes

him hornier, she got injured and they give up for now??? ah yes this was also many a case

in the original. Tadanobu who also had a few scratches had to carry her back.

Then he starts blaming himself for not being able to protect her... to make matters worse

even though Yoritomo found out the truth he's like heal up and get back to work

which just lights a fire under Tadanobu's ass cuz he's just as terrible as Tomomori.

As she recovers they get a nice heart to heart too...

 Anyway he wants her to think of her own happiness and to get out of the battle alive

cuz he wants to return with her to Hiraizumi. Tomomori tried to get them to hand over

Shana in the mountains but Hidehira was like we got your back and ain't gonna go quietly.

I fell dozed off during the battle but uh as Tadanobu was covering Shana, Yoritomo

and his troops showed up like my dude where were you?! Shigehira and Tomohorny

are outnumbered cuz even the mountain hobos show up. Strength in numbers works after all huh?

too bad they retreated... afterwards Tadanobu pleads Yoritomo to excuse even offering his head...

for some reason they're allowed to go back to Hiraizumi while leaving the rest to the big boys.

Tadanobu is happy being able to be with who he loves in the place he likes...

Shana's happy to be here with him, someone who loves her so all's well that ends well.

 Tragic end: Tomohorny and Shigehira show up at their camp... they've been wondering

why she didn't show up at Dan no Ura and came looking. How sweet.... Shana is confused 

and they say that she is their ally well technically she is if she didn't grew up elsewhere.

Hidehira doesn't give in to their demands to hand her over so they go super saiyan after

hidehira and Tsugunobu fall  Shana unleashes her super saiyan powers to try to stop them.

Tadanobu tries to stop Shana trying to get her to return to her senses but ends up killed by her....... saying this doesn't suit her and prefers her to smile. Tomomori decide to take her with them.

Ah yes we definitely needed another bad end catered to Tomomori!

I wasn't following the plot too much but a lot of it was just Shana dealing with her

feelings of her brother, duty and who she is etc. So basically this shows they don't have much

to work but still the romance was what kept my attention, some of it was hilarious.

Tadanobu is an okay guy... but not really my type! my eyes are on his brother.

I'm not sure what the deal is with Shana and the guy just basically eloping from the war and

Yoritomo being all like Hmph! whatever do as you please but maybe he's more empathetic

than you think he is. The way the plot resolved at the end was weird but whatever

when Tomomori and Shigehira retreated I was like oh boy not this shit again?! but then it

all was resolved like that, oh well I think that it was better than the mini ends were in the original.

Sasaki Takatsuna.

CV: Amatsuki.

 At first I just didn't really care about this guy... he was cute but other than that

I was never thinking about wanting to romance him.

His voice actor is an utaite who sings the OP themes for both games...

Anyway this guy is like a retainer or servant who works for Yoritomo

one night he catches Shana and wants to know who the hell she is.

Takatsuna then turns into a supporter while Shana gets used to being around her brother again

which leads the two of them on a mission, they deal with some mountain hobos

then they have a duel and he ends up toppling her. Shana ends up being pretty surprised idk but the

whole scene crept me out cuz he was staring into her eyes and probably her soul as well.

 Cuz Shana moved around too much he figures she's a woman... he had some doubts but now

its all but confirmed. Shungen and the others catch up while Takatsuna is processing the revelation.

Shana ends up telling him everything later and well he promises the secret's safe with him...

he says its because he wants to get a long and that's what friends do right?

When they're in the countryside, Takatsuna tells more about himself and he's not that different

from Shana as he too was forced to live away from his family/take refuge.

They went to meet the emperor in kyo and afterwards ran into Noritsune and the taira bro's...

Oh no! Noritsune certainly won't let her get away again so things get dicey so they hide somewhere.

Since Shana sees him more as a lil bro Takatsuna tells her he wants her to rely on him more 

but not as a little brother... he's not a kid but a man and he wants her to see him as such.

 Yoshinaka ends up setting the town on fire to try to find them, they end up dealing with him

and he finds out Shana's a woman but not like that'll change anything... anyway they both

take him out infront of that shogun guy, also yea he now knows too. Problem is 

he catches on quick and now wants to get on her good side.

Eventually Takatsuna sees how much its eating at Shana to keep who she is and lifestyle

a secret from her brother so he encourages her to tell Yoritomo cuz he's sure he'll understand 

if she tells him honestly. Aww... honestly I did start to like Takatsuna a lot more because of this.

 

Shana ended up telling Yoritomo and he was like oh okay & Takatsuna is like hey I told you! just talk.

Things get a bit depressing cuz Yoritomo decides she should go back to the kitchen & be married off.

when meeting Takatsuna... she ends up confessing her feelings to him and wants to be with him.

For some reason Takatsuna can't reciprocate those feelings. She returns to her old friends

Benkei & co and they all tell her she shouldn't take shit and be used as a tool.

Unfortunately she still has to go through with it... Takatsuna takes the responsibility of escorting her.

Idk why but he kept coming up with excuses to take breaks during the trip/bridal procession

citing that its better for her health the guards got kinda annoyed at this. When they got

close to the port... it seems he was just stalling for time and waiting for some of his friends

stirring up trouble and its basically a big fad, the guards be like wtf is this shit show?!

Takatsuna simple took advantage of the situation but does apologize for lying.

Shana wonders if she can stay with him now and well of course they did have a promise.

The guards be like we gotta report this! but by then the fighting will be settled...

Benkei & co got their backs too! Takatsuna gives her back her sword too.

They defeat the Heike and all's well that ends well... the shogun was a little bummed

but eh he got played by Yoritomo using Shana as chess piece to settle the battle.

Takatsuna says it'll be fine as long as she's with him and returns her feelings. In the epilogue

he ends up begging Yoritomo to let him marry her which was cute. Yoritomo asks Shana first

and when she wants to spend her life with Takatsuna he's like hmph! do what you want.😂

 Tragic end: during the bridal procession some bandits attack them, Takatsuna tries to fight them off.

Shana tries to get one of them without having a weapon but then gets injured.

The bandits weren't even trying to kill her specifically, Takatsuna tries to help her and keep a smile

on his face but she's too badly wounded. All she can tell him is to be happy and thanks.

Oh well I enjoyed this route a lot more than the other two? maybe it was cuz I was paying

more attention maybe it simply had a better plot. Takatsuna still isn't my fav but hmm he gets close.

Honestly I really liked Takatsuna's personality of don't see me as a kid and before this route

I did kinda see him as such. Sometimes before you do a route you could totally be uninterested

in a character but nvm the fact that you could still like it by the end of it and i've played

a few otome games where this also happened, sometimes surprise favorites do happen!

Taira no Shigehira.

CV: Oosaka Ryouta.

This starts off with Tomomori trying to make a move on her, sorry for ya boi Shigehira but

Shana's first kiss has already been stolen by Tomohorny. Wait is this really Shigehira's route?!

yea it is, it just branches from Tomomori's route. Shigehira gets curious so he joins up at hiraizumi...

he doesn't understand what his brother sees in Shana but he wouldn't mind dueling her. Shigehira while

drunk starts figuring out how feminine he is... Shana is like hsssssssssss! and he's immediately like

no don't look at me like that show your smile more. Oh what's this? you smell nice too.😂

Anyway he gets his duel sooner rather than later... and gets his ass kicked.😂😂😂

Shigehira starts saying its cuz he's having a hangover from last nights ''drinks''

and that she wouldn't be standing here if he was at full strength so it wasn't exactly fair.😂

Shigehira challenges her again, Benkei and the others are like just stop it already!

WHY IS SHIGEHIRA SO DUMB?! Shana even has to explain what comrades are

and even then he doesn't fully get it. SIGH.... lord help me with this one.

Hidehira ends up summoning Shana wanting to make choice whether to stay here

or return to her brothers side and they may no longer be able to be friendly with Shigehira.

She runs into Shigehira afterwards and when he hears this... he is like hmm? guess i'll stay on your side.

Shana is like you're weird man...and he just runs off not understanding anything as usual.

Shigehira has some weird dreams/flashbacks of being in a cold place and wanting to

go somewhere warmer. So when he has a fever Shana ends up being mad and cares for him.

 Shigehira ends up motorboarding Shana while he was half asleep... then he figures she's a woman

I mean he had guessed this before but he was kinda drunk, so now he's like why are you hiding this?!

So now Shana has to tell him everything about her brother etc. Shigehira wonders if his brother knew.

Shigehira starts acting a bit overprotective even if Shana says like it doesn't matter.

Once he figures what his bro's aim is he tells her to become stronger cuz he's serious of getting Shana

and for some reason he doesn't like the idea of his brother getting his hands on her.

They'll have to part ways for now... next time they meet they might be enemies for real.

Shana goes saiyan during the battle but Shigehira shows up  to snap her out of it...

seeing how she has the same power as his brother and himself he starts to wonder who she is.

Shigehira runs away with Shana into the woods and she is like wait wut...?

They can't stay together but Yoshitsune keeps training while Shigehira and Tomomori have a talk...

some stuff happens and the heike flee and a town is set on fire? courtesy of Yoshinaka

but yea tomomori is ever horny for Shana which makes shigehira go hmmm.

Shana lost against Tomomori so Shigehira butts in when he hears he's about to take her as wife

cuz he's like oh no you don't which makes Tomomori turn around surprised pikachu face.

Shigehira tells him he's against it because she is his comrade nvm not understanding it himself.

Anyway they end up having a bitch fight but ends up half dead? even Shana jumps back in

but Tomomori is superior.... Noritsune ends up raging when he waltzes in and sees Shigehira.

Shana tries calling out to him... but he's out cold, Tomomori says he's long dead.😭

 Shana ends up kissing his corpse? for some reason Shigehira starts breathing again

perhaps this is a side effect of those weird powers. Shana drags his not dead yet body back home.

Benkei and co all come barging in during their talk saying they'll help take care of him

Shigehira tried to protest but he'll be eating good else he won't get better.😂

Sometime later... they have a heart to heart and he finally figures out that he likes her and that

they're more than comrades. At this point the feelings all mutual but Shana was a bit tsun about it.

Shigehira ends up joining them against the battle with the heike, cuz no way

he's letting his bro have his way now. He does help train Shana for the upcoming battle.

Shigehira, Shana and Tomomori get their super saiyan bitch fight cuz Shigehira is tired

of Tomomori being so thirsty for his self-proclaimed princess, yes yes I am roasting him.😊

Shigehira eventually kicks his ass and he gets a bit sappy cuz he does care for his brother...

a brother who ends up falling of the cliff into the ocean after a fatal blow, a sad day this was.

The epilogue felt sadder than all the other routes... they go and get all uguu in the woods

which was romantic but idk, some of the other guys had it a little better.

 Tragic end: This is just another Tomohorny NTR end we definitely needed another one of these!

Shana basically ends up becoming a doll that lives.. by his side. Oh and he allows

her to sustain Shigehira's life too who is now sorry they're in this situation, Tomohorny

will definitely make sure she's well loved. Wtf is this weird 3P ending........................

Overall I liked Shigehira's new route! the first half was hilarious and it had good pacing too.

It does feel like an alternative to Tomomori's own route just without all those plot revelations.

IDK why but this route also felt longer than it had to be maybe that's because

it has more war/fight scenes than the other 3 new routes. Anyway it was good

I didn't even think I would like this route or Shigehira as much as I did nvm the 3p ending

but depending on your kink this ending might be slightly better.

Route enjoyment (after stories):

Yoritomo >Tomomori > Noritsune > Shungen / Benkei.

While Benkei was nice it was also not much else, idk about Shungen

but Noritsune was just kinda frustrating and both are just oh god just fuck already?!

Yoritomo may have had the best in tying up the loose ends, same for Tomomori.

Route enjoyment (new routes):

Shigehira > Takatsuna > Tsugunobu >Tadanobu.

Now I loved Tsugunobu but his route and his brother for that matter

weren't that interesting/enjoyable compared to Takatsuna or Shigehira.

Fav character

Tsugunobu > Tomomori > Yoritomo > Shigehira > Benkei >Noritsune > Shungen > Tadanobu > Takatsuna.

More or less preference but the ones at the end are the ones I think of the least!

I think Noritsune is kind of the cut of point where its more or less 

they're still good characters but hmm not my best boi.

Final thoughts!

The majority of the afters do be like this...

 That was an enjoyable FD! and I don't have much if anything to complain about.

The afters are the perfect length and don't overstay their welcome

all the stories fit the characters situation. I already said it in the non spoiler section

but I don't think its a bad thing they're all horny for Shana, its just the lvl of oh god just fuck already

was at an all time high I don't think many of the FD I played had it that bad in comparison.

The new routes... are well nice, its not much but it did flesh them out more and are way better

than what they had in the original game. So the content value is also pretty good?

which is mostly thanks to the new routes had they not been there than this would be much shorter.

Maybe the only disappointment is Noritsune's kiss cg and the cg count for the afters in general

but yea they're not exactly long either and once again its better to have quality over quantity.

I really think about Birushana as a whole(not just this fd) and while yea sure it kind of has the

same-ish plot throughout but it also has individuality that changes things in the end which makes it

slighly better than vn that copy paste entire scenes. A good vn will make choice of character count

and Birushana does that, while giving us so many characters to enjoy. The writers know

when to have fun and when not while not forgetting its setting which is limited cuz genpei war.

Even if in case of the afters that war is already over... they still gave us something quite nice.

I don't have much else to say but if you enjoyed Birushana this FD is something to look into!

Maybe i'm too much of a rabid Birushana fan and I don't always want to sound like that

or make it sound too good but you're always welcome to try the game out for yourselves.

He has a gun...

 

What's next, probably radiant tale seems like they finally updated the system page too and I don't

think they will delay it, kinda looking into into atelier sophie 2, seems like gust went back

to their roots with it which is nice but i'm considering letting the series rest for a while longer.

I'm not gonna force myself to play any otome games I passed on just to review it either

if I do pick something up it means I have time for it and I find it interesting, whatever it is.
