Honey Vibes - Review

Honey, there's landmines on da beach.
Genre: VN.
Developer/publisher: Otomate.
Platform: Switch.
Official Site: https://www.otomate.jp/honey_vibes/
Release date: 3-10-2024.

I wasn't originally going to get this but after the last game I played
something like this seemed appropiate, the premise sounded fun tbh.
Moeyo otome doushi fell off the radar after I learned its really short
so I just decided this would be the last otome of the year instead.

Pro's
- Fluffy and Spicy; romance oriented otome game.
- Character focused rather than plot focused.
- Length; doesn't overstay its welcome.
- Gorgeous art & music fits the vibe.

Con's
- Plot isn't really its strong point, its hidden away in a corner called the finale.
- Some of the less than good ends can be a killjoy.
 .

Artstyle is pretty unique, at first reminded me of bad apple wars/dairoku but its
not the same artist, I guess its because the eyes and it having a similar look.
While most CG's were gorgeous there were a bunch with weird angles
or with the heroines face not shown or it cutoff near the edge but everyone
had a decent amount so I didn't mind if it that much. I will say that there was
one thing that I find unnacceptable and Theo was a victim of it. One of his ending CG's was not
positioned right which is a criminal offense, I could see another background behind the CG.
Another gripe is that they weren't evenly spread out through the routes and in some cases
there were a lot of them right after the other like at the end of Elijah's route.
Music is nice and felt really relaxing and gave it chill vibes
but I wasn't sure what was with the ar tonelico/NIER bgm's as this
made it seem more ambitious than it was.

Plot:
The protagonist Nagisa seems to be a pretty normal girl going about her day
till she rescues an animal CV:Toriumi Kousuke (Hello Simeon from Kai no kiseki!)
Something appears to be up and Nagisa starts tripping and next she finds herself
in a room full of antique with an unusual chessboard; usually the pawns are only
for two people but this board is for three? weird. The furball introduces himself as Colt
and the room they're in is some sort of space between worlds so he offers her a chance
since Nagisa seems to be a kind person that he wants to place his faith in.
Colt has basically chosen her to help save beings like himself
and hopes that she can offer them happiness till the last moment.
Next she wakes up she is in another world called Libalium and Colt isn't a
furball anymore and a human with wings as ears (Like Meteion I suppose...?)
Colt is more or less like a priest or kind of like a god.
Meanwhile Nagisa just thinks she is having a dream, lol.
Colt tries to explain she is in another world, and she's not dreaming
and eventually meets a bunch of guys who live in that world.
At first Nagisa doesn't have any idea what is going on really and the games begin.
 ---

I liked Nagisa, her reactions to some things were quite natural but I wish she had
a sprite in the corner, its weird since when you go to the backlog she has a sprite there.
She could seem a bit unsure in the beginning but there were times she really shined.

With there being a game going on and all I think this game was shameless
about the fact that this was a reverse harem, boys don't fight over me but
then it is literally about that since Nagisa fell into the role of queen
and most guys are divided into different camps red, black and white.
Nagisa basically made it so the guys have to convince her to choose them
and well gonna say some of the guys had varying levels of how they went about it.

Honey Vibes was for the most part a fun isekai, there's a sense of seriousness but it also
doesn't take itself too serious and just rolls with what it tried to do without shame.
It wasn't too long or that anything dragged, the game's length is fine. Common route introduces
things and there's enough time to get a feel of everyone's personality before going into a route.
Sadly the bad ends were such a killjoy idk what but had I gotten them by accident
the mood would be ruined and I don't think I would even want to see the best end.
This game shared some writers with 9rip and it definitely had a little bit of suspense
so I can see why this game suddenly went off the rails but still I don't remember
9rip being as bad as this?! the bad ends in honey vibes legit killed the mood.
While I won't complain about there being different outcomes some felt out of place or a bit
extreme and not what I initially came here for or fit with the setting. I will admit I didn't
do a lot of research on Honey Vibes but expected it to be dark was the last thing on my mind.

How interesting the plot in the route was varied a lot since Honey Vibes focused more
on romance and the character's personal issue than whatever plot there was which felt
like an after thought to me in routes such as Alvin. Finn's route complimented Alvin's
in a way its like the otherside of the same coin, both routes also had great romance.
In some routes the bad ends are also worse  like Eno for example. Milo's route still good
not just in terms of romance but since I understood more in the grandscheme of things
and unlike other routes, Milo's bad ends atleast made me understand why its the way it is.
Theo's route was also decent, his personal conflict together with the overall plot was just
beautifully written, unfortunately he has some of the worst bad ends in this game.
Elijah was the only route that I thought was well rounded and actually focused on the
story/lore but even then it was still just character focused like all the rest which means
even if it seems more involved it isn't. They saved it all for the finale route.
So while in most routes the overall plot was never amazing, it was still pretty decent
since if you do all routes it connects well enough.  If you come here for the
romance & your favourite voice actor is in here you'd likely be satisfied.
Story can peak in some routes and just dips in others, the characters carried this game hard.

As for the game as a whole, its fluff and spicy! I don't play a lot of otomes where things
get THIS steamy but honey vibes was on another level that most others felt tame.
Sadly most desire ends were awful, it just felt like another bad end where the one tied to rationality
is the only good outcome which all things considered is kinda lame. The LI's were all pretty good
but for some I immediately went like oh no! looking at you Milo but he as well
as Alvin were among my fav's so look how that turned out. The only one
I didn't like was Eno really. With 6 LI's there might be a favorite for anyone.
This game could be interesting to play blind but honestly i'm glad I used a guide
since there are just way too many landmine bad ends you could trigger.
Bad ends did at times contain minor plot revelations so I'd say its still worth
checking them out just don't be surprised if you get burned while doing so.
The actual story is left for the finale route which wraps everything up in a grand way
perhaps there is room for a sequel or FD? idk but it may need one since
after the finale most best ends just has me going is that it really?
8/10
I can't hate this game because its literally the best and worst of otomate in one package.
Its likely it will be picked up for english release and will be disappointed if it won't
since there's definitely an audience for this, no I know there is.

TL;DR Honey Vibes is quite enjoyable but if you're just here for an romance novel
i'd stay away from the bad ends if I were you unless you like to live dangerously.
This game is not all sunshine and rainbows and can get surprisingly dark in bad ends.
If this sparks your interest then by all means I will recommend this otome game.......

For playorder there weren't any restrictions so I just picked one in the moment:
Alvin > Eno > Milo >Theo > Elijah > Finn > Finale.
You can do whatever camp you want in any order due to no restrictions
the best I can recommend here is to just stick to one camp before moving to the next.

More rambles after the jump, just the usual some of my fav cg's etc
if you want to play don't read further.

Alvin.
CV: Umehara Yuuichiro.
Anyway why not? why shouldn't I go for the Umehara character first?
also yea here we go again him voicing beautiful intelectual male 9001.
I SWEAR TO COLT STOP TYPECASTING HIM i'll admit Alvin is a good fit.😭😭😭
Alvin is the leader of white camp, he's calm and reasonable but also strict.
You don't want to get on Alvin's bad side, he seems to be protective of the queen
so anyone who even tries hurt a hair on her head is as good as dead.
Sadly Alvin is quiet and a man of few words... but can be surprisingly kind and considerate.
Some drama in this route centered around his mom and how Alvin copes with it
which is different from humans, Nagisa found it sad so he was quick to comfort her.
I loved the scene while he reads some book while holding hands with Nagisa like it was a
total is this what lovers do? moment. Awkward yet cute as heck very memorable scene.
Suppose this is what's it like dating Alhaitham from genshin impact isn't it? sigh...
All i've ever wanted really... thanks otomate for fulfilling my fantasies.
Eno ended up being an ass in this route since he thinks he can do it better than Alvin
and have more fun. Alvin catched on quickly and Eno just says he was joking...
but you know I couldn't help but be uneasy like he's some sort of traitor or something.
There were like so many sweet/intimate moments that slowly we got to know
Alvin better and its done in such a way that it suits the love interest.
I can say it 9000 times but Eno annoyed me so much and I almost forgot there was this game
going onwhere the guys gotta win over the heroine. >_>; Eno was just so obnoxious
in doing this it was super uncomfortable like he knows it was already the point
where Nagisa was all in on Alvin. Thanfully Alvin found out and calls Eno out for being
a traitor, since he forced Nagisa to eat some type of candy. Aww yea kitty fight time!
Nagisa told them to cut it off and Alvin just tells Eno to get out of his face before he kills him.
/pet
Anyway mommy issues and likes headpats, as turns out Alvin and Finn are long lost brothers.
The romance was kinda cute though, then Betty threw some hissy fit about not finding
the current king to be fit to rule at all... saying finn is much better and wants to help him.
Betty won't kill her since they could use her as a pawn for the next, she's also part
of this organization who've been stirring up trouble here and there.
They want to kill Alvin and use Nagisa aka the queen to lure him in. Eno was such
a kill joy throughout but even so he isn't a bad person... he helped Nagisa when she needed it.
Wow way to redeem yourself jackass.
Which turned the tides back in Alvin's favor, the whole thing was pretty stupid because
even Eno is like a halfling of red and white so why should it matter what the King is?
Alvin challenges them that if they want to remain in the white land they have to win
a game in the arena to which the two promptly apologize. Everything seems to
be settled and we're back to the usual vibes. Alvin also ended up confessing
and it was so heartwarming to hear how Nagisa brightened his world
and in turn she also has come to like him enough to want to be with him.
Final CG was just them chilling in the hotspring /smirk but I liked this moment more tbh.
Desire end: This one triggers when Eno and Alvin had their kitty fight and you don't get
between them. Alvin also loses his patience with Nagisa and it didn't end pretty.
White camp bad ending: Uh so Nagisa ends up on a brunch date with Eno...
this was fairly early but it almost felt like we were choosing a different path
and were lead astray from the one leading to Alvin. It started to look like
Eno was more or less bribing Nagisa with food. Later Betty pops in
and decides to butt in because she wants a perfect queen for the perfect king.
This ending was weird because it just sort of... ends with Nagisa going missing
and Betty doing all sorts of things as if she's the next best thing? meh.
White camp desire end: Uh yea this one starts early and instead of meeting
say Alvin in the springs Nagisa meets both him and Eno which led to a hilarious scene.
Sometime later Nagisa decides to ask Betty for help when working in the kitchen...
which leads to her being invited out and it seemed mostly fun although a bit crowded
since everyone knew the queen was around. Later Betty approaches her again
with the whole perfect queen for a perfect king talk. Betty puts something on her then
which isn't harmful yet meanwhile Eno and Alvin can't find her anywhere till she comes
walking in dressed unusually and acts differently, far more confident than before.
Alvin says she seems broken but if she's offering might as well partake?
Betty just laughs as it seems she has succeeded... uh yea that was that?!
This route gave me soft and warm vibes, maybe since Alvin is very soft
just uh don't piss him off cuz this kitty cat does have claws.😅
Overall pretty good, the two of them grew closer slowly and it was cute & a lil steamy.
Sadly I didn't really like the plot in this route aside Alvin's personal dilemma...
the stuff with Betty was kinda dumb but tbh this was like a romance > plot
oriented game so it was never going to be strong to begin with, so its easy to forgive.
IDK what the desire ending was supposed to be but WTF? it was such a kill joy but I suppose
it was fitting since Alvin is a rational person so his rational end was far happier...
I could live without the desire end and other bad ends but they did expand on things.
Route rating 7.5/10

Eno.
CV: Yasuhiro Taku.
Me running straight to Alvin because I don't wanna this guy...
He's playful perhaps a bit too much? Nagisa once caught him smuggling
honey into their land because red's honey is just that much more delicious.
Unfortunately he made me really uncomfortable most of the time
and from Alvin's route I already just knew this kitty is not for me also so much
for Eno being ''the knight'' but it makes sense if consider what it does in chess.
You see he's like a cat so you don't know what to expect
like he just waits for you to wake up on top of you.
Honestly its hilarious how Nagisa has to tell him off everytime...
Eno does have his own share of troubles though and he's not as easygoing as he seems
we already know from Alvin's route that he has ties with the red camp and he said
something about being similar to Nagisa yet there's something different.
One day she gets warned by some townsfolk about having to be careful around Eno
since they were done in by him- aka scammed. Well yea he's sus i'll give em that atleast
turns out some of it is true and Eno admitted it that he abandoned them.
Most of the route just felt like telling Eno off because they want to get into MC's pants........
I think this guy just went too fast for me so I was like slow your roll! but I think
Eno does have cute side and him teasing Nagisa was funny. So it wasn't all bad.
Eno got hurt from an encounter the other day and if Alvin hadn't hesitated for a moment
it could've been far worse. Nagisa's worried but Eno's just his usual self.
Betty also warns her from now on that if things stay like they are Nagisa could end up dead too
since if Alvin hadn't shown up just a bit before she could've gotten hurt.
Later Betty also got agitated when she saw Eno act so friendly with the queen and was like
nooooo she belongs with the king mind your place you peasant! context: Eno was feeding
Nagisa food since she didn't feel like eating much due to some of the events that transpired that day.
Next day Nagisa reflects on events and has come to see Eno differently, she remembers his words
of wanting to understand humans more as well as him always saying how he feels about her.
Later Eno says how everyone always doubts him whenever something happens
so what about her? does she mistrust him too? for the sake of the best end let's give
him the benefit of the doubt her and don't doubt him. He's happy she doesn't seem
to mistrust him and then he gives her a red candy shaped like a jewel. He says its special
and supposedly super delicious as well. Nagisa remembers some of Alvin's words
from way back about 3 people being responsible for something and then Eno confessed
he had a part in that incident. Eno then pulls her close and says he doesn't want to lie
so he's going to be dead honest with her now. Eno came over here for the sake of red camp
and its because of this that Nagisa also got hurt a while ago. Basically Eno's a real traitor
yet he doesn't know much else, just enough to execute his plan, Theo may know more than he does.
Eno then asks Nagisa to cooperate with him to help camp red win. Nagisa consults Colt
who suggests that maybe there's love involved? to which she replies maybe...
Colt also says soon she may find her answers. Meanwhile Eno's former friends
still hold a grudge against him for abandoning them during the games.
Eno actually looks up to Milo for protecting Theo, something Eno can't seem to do...
though does think he is perfect for the job he's been assigned to do. For some reason
he does want to make it up to the two friends he betrayed before.
Realizing Eno isn't as scummy as he seems and cares for people still, Nagisa
ends up confessing how she feels about him and she likes him. She also fully supports him
in what he wants to do now which surprised Eno. Nagisa wants to do something
that will make Milo and Alvin cooperate. There's only one way and its through a game.
The hard part is confronting Alvin who may've been ready to kill Eno...
but Nagisa is there and Eno's ready to turn over a new leaf. Alvin sees no problem
after Eno pledges his life to him /again/ then he proceeds to make plans for the game
but Eno has to participate himself and win. Eno fears the worst and that Milo will be
his opponent but before anything else they spend some quality time together euhuhuh.
Eno can't contain himself anymore and he just really wants to bone Nagisa...
I was like uh okay since they both like eachother okey-dokey during the entire thing.
Anyway the match awaits and Milo is ready to bust Eno's traitorous ass so Eno's going
to have to try hard, he even tries to explain that he's trying to help red camp too
but Milo's a bonehead who doesn't get it. Eno realizes he's a coward and decides
to confess all his sins to make Milo understand, since all of this happened because
he ran away but Milo just uppercuts him. Eno realizes some people still believe in him
so he gives it another shot but Milo won't let him and just beats him up.
Eno still refuses to give up and just gets sappy... and just straightup says he's a white boi now.
With the match over the good life begins now... Nagisa is Eno's one and only queen. YASS.
The epilogue was kinda more of the usual misunderstandings you'd see with couples
but eh somethings never change do they? I can't believe she had to tie him up
I'd expected it the other way around but damn Nagisa is the queen here YASS againu
but the scene turned around fast and they both uh enjoyed there bondage play!?
Atleast it ended in satisfying manner... so it was worth it.
Desire end: Nagisa ends up agreeing to Eno's advantages early on... sure let's be lovers!
but it just ends really quickly almost as if the animal insticts took over which result in her death?
Either way seems these bad ends are just bad for the sake of it but if you tried to build
some kind of emotional connection then maybe this wouldn't happen...
Desire end 2: ends much the same way and there's nothing meaningful
about it other than make some different choices bitch.
Desire end 3: Hooboy, seems like Nagisa sort of gets used to his animal instinct
and just accepts that part of him instead of... making him be gentle.
Betty ends up looking for some idiot and walks into her room only to met with a smell
that's about as bad as a dog fart. Turns out everytime this sort of end happens
the guy straightup devoures her and Eno thinks this is what being together forever means.
Okay! guess we made some wrong choices here one again! WeeU WeeU WeeU.
White camp bad end: Eno can't contain himself and wants Nagisa to stop cockblocking
this happens fairly early on so there hasn't been much of an emotional connection yet
so he starts biting her and Nagisa is like wtf my dude. Lmao same.
---
Some parts were kinda fluffy and fun but Eno's also another one of those can you really
trust him type of guys. I suppose I liked Eno more than Ascot from Mistonia
so idk what that says. I wish the game had a better plot cuz guess all its really about is
when they're gonna bang or not doesn't help Eno is a total horndog so seeing the best part
of the route was literally them banging after an emotional connection was build, through
the bad ends I realized that had I gotten them randomly I'd probably just quit... so using
a guide was a true blessing since those bad ends almost permanently ruined Eno for me.
Route rating 6/10

Milo.
CV: Okamoto Nobuhiko.
My initial impressions of Milo weren't great like he seems rough, intimidating
and personally not really my type. I decided to go to redcamp after Eno's route
since I was like how bad can it get! so why not? why shouldn't I go for the red flag?!
Turns out redcamp is one of the few that actually is fully aware the world may end
one day which reminds Nagisa of how Colt wanted her to save them. Redcamp isn't really
a great place to be compared to the others but they're doing everything they can and there's
gotta be meaning to them coming into existence too. so Milo just casually invites her over.
Side note: Milo reminds me of Yang since red hair, same seiyuu + they're both rough....
otomate knew what they were doing here, I feel attacked and I am not even a Yang fan.
Anyway Milo is actually not like Yang at all and he seems mostly safe?!
yea what if Yang was a greenflag disguised as a red one... haha checkmate.
All sorts of shenanigans ensue as Milo is hellbent on winning over Nagisa
who ends up being hmm I kinda wanna know more about him. She's so easy
but not so easy her panties are flying off.😂😂😂 Like holy shit I genuinely liked Milo.
Plot seemed to go into the mural stuff there's a catboi and a girl holding boxes on it
the box seems to be an orgel or so Nagisa thinks. Some light drama of whether or not
Nagisa likes being here which after everything she decided she's a redcamp girl.
Milo goes ballistic like hey you like me afterall, her admitting it made him happy.😅
After they leave Colt seems to get a lil sus saying something about a path to a different
future and that they might cut it close, yet he'll be praying... still 95 something?
then its about his or their memories not being very useful?! wut. Anyway Colt is SUS.
Milo overs some perspective on Eno when he was still witht the redcamp
and turns out Milo was actually pretty hurt when Eno switched sides.
Milo seriously wants to kill the bastard... they had some fun later that night
and after that Nagisa ran into a kid Onigisa in the kitchen, she helps him to some hotmilk.
Turns out he feels inferior due to his size and Pete ends up joining them.
Onigisa blurts out how friendly Nagisa and the king are which makes Pete go on a rant
of how they're in a predicament, its good they're strong but... yea what if they ain't?
The kid fell asleep so Pete carried him off and Nagisa returned to the bedroom
to see the sight of Milo asleep, she let him be and watched him talk in his sleep. UwU
Honestly Milo's not much better than Eno, he sorta blurted it out he only wants Nagisa
at some point and couldn't care about jack-else. Why they all so horny for h00man gril?!
Some dumb drama about bustin eachothers doors as the next games approach....
Milo gets blamed for bustin Eno's door but he couldn't help it really.😂😂😂
They sorta welcome Eno back with them but the other people in town
aren't happy with the traitor coming back so there was an uproar.
Why is it always about Eno?! but its understandable why since they all were childhood
friends. Nagisa decides to stay close to Milo because where else is safer.
They all end up going to white camp and Alvin is like ??? but whatever
for now Nagisa is safe here from all the commotion going on in redcamp.
Sometime later Milo sneaks into her room because he misses her already.
Nagisa tries to reassure him that he'll show em all who's boss since he's the king and all.
They get cute since someones stomach decided to rumble... so Milo spoonfeeds Nagisa.😅
Later Colt started acting weird and spouting cryptic shit, seems to be related
to the three of them getting along and Nagisa playing a key role in it.
When asked about it Colt seems to not remember... but still helps her with her current problem.
Pete is confronting a group of people who're all like strength is everything
when Nagisa has something to say about it they lash out against her.
The strong make the rules and the weak are losers and obey it.
Milo shows up just in time... because things got dicey. The kid Onigisu
was among them and at a word from him he returns to his brothers side.
Milo said Nagisa was cool, its just he won't forgive the ones for hurting her.
Mostly everything resolves fairly quickly and they all head back, I guess
once they realized who's boss they all got down on their knees. For a moment
I was sure Pete was leading them but he seemed against hurting the queen
or maybe he couldn't handle the gang that banded together.
Either way Pete seems to take responsibility and wants some kind of match
to which Milo seems to happily agree to having. Anyway everything else
seems to resolve without issue while there's still lingering issues Milo just says
it can be dealt with later LATER because he is tired. Actually Pete is just a total
drama queen because he legit thought Milo had forsaken his duty as a king of the redcamp.
Milo forgot about the upcoming bridge game with white camp so Theo had to
remind him that he's gotta be serious for it. After Theo leaves Milo starts to get sappy
and whispers a lot of stuff into Nagisa's ear. She then asks to touch his fluffy parts
and he's like well if its you then its... fine. Funny how flustered he got over it
which lead to a steamy scene because now its his turn. The CG made me lose it. PHEW.
The one after was cute, hmm I guess they uhm had a good time.😳😳😳

Desire ending: Nagisa decides to lean on Theo instead of Milo when they run into
Eno in the forest. Let's just say it led to them being in a tight spot for a second...
Eno starts acting weird saying the queen smells really nice and even Theo is being odd.
Milo is like hands off because these goods are mine, the goods being well Nagisa.
Turns out this is all because of some weird flower which she picked up before.
Theo suddenly suggest that if they're gonna fight maybe they should split the queen in half.
OMG NO hold the thought, oh right this is the desire ending, nothing unusual here. Carry on.
Seems like they went through with the plan and that she should have listened to him
but not that we can see since they just rolled the credits. Oh they totally devoured her.
Bad end 1: Nagisa didn't trust Theo when they were out in the forest and then some rando
grabbed her and threatened Theo who immediately says how bad it would be if the king found out.
They proceed to beat Theo up who can't deal with them alone...
Pete then shows up which confirms he was in on the whole mob thing... he says there's
no meaning to her being engaged to the king and knocks her out since without it
he still has a chance to set things right. Surely you understand its for the best right?
Bad end 2: Nagisa decides to trust Eno with protecting her during the mob who're
after the traitor. Eno runs out of breath when they made a break for it...
so when they rested, Eno suddenly starts apologizing and that he can't hold it together
but he's really happy she looked at him and they all listened to him back when they ran into him.
Eno starts yapping that its fine now right? that Milo gave her to him... oh no.
Eno says that they'll be together forever because and then devours her.
Red camp desire ending: Branches from the spring scene early on and
Nagisa runs into both guys in there which leads to some shenanigans
as Milo holds her and Theo feeds her some fruits he brought. Life sure is good!
Later they both end up sniffling her up... wtf I can't handle this?! Afterwards
Pete ends up showing her that red jewel thingy and he's more than willing to hand her one.
When she's out some goons realize she is the queen and try to take her for themselves
since that's how they could become king too. They realize she smells funny and Nagisa
should go to Milo or Theo asap. Pete crawls in and says the experiment is a success!
Nagisa seems to fall unconcious and next she wakes she's with Pete... who acts as her savior.
Sometime later Nagisa feels woozy again, Pete shows up again and tells her
something has taken hold within her and he cannot help but wonder as he plans to use it
to his advantage to basically manipulate the situation to his favor.
Basically she could have the king twirled around his finger because of how she smells
and they should be careful because who knows what happens if they kill her.
So now we have some weird 3p where Milo and Theo devour Nagisa which they
can't stop due to her being drowned in the smell thanks to yours truly, Pete.
---
I'm suprised with how much I ended up liking Milo, during the prologue/common parts
the Yang vibes put me off but this dork is just a moe cupcake and i'm loving it.
Not sure of the plot but i'm kinda tired of the general affairs of things so the only
thing I liked was the relationship progression. So yea romance > plot.
Colt was pretty sus in this route but nothing came of it? oh well.
I also start to dislike how whatever plot was going on is so easily resolved
because it felt like there wasn't even really much of a problem.
Life sorta just goes on, Milo just has a hot babe at his side now.
Three routes in now but it true you shouldn't watch an erotic movie for the plot right.
No you would watch it for the juicy moments between the characters
because whatever else is going on is boring AF.
The desire ending was really random as well, like I am sure Milo could just
beat them up too but no we gotta have the other two want to get a piece of her literally.
Also wtf is up with the bad ends having actual plot revelations?! wtf...
Route rating 8.5/10.

Theo.
CV: Saitou Souma.
Theo seems much nice compared to Milo... his voice sounded similar
to Rion Balthazar and yea they're voiced by the same guy.
Honestly I wasn't that interested in Theo at first and only did his route
to be able to move on to black camp, Theo reminds me a little of Alvin
in that he's calm and soft and I think he's kinda cute? but that's about it really.
I was also kinda tired of the game by this route so I slowed down my pace
which sort of fit with the LI's personality too. Theo doesn't think very highly
of himself because he's a pawn who in a game of chess is disposable.
Due that the route had a sad undertone since he has a kind & gentle personality.
Pete was pretty sus and offered her the red candy thing... Nagisa isn't convinced
and needs to think about it so she won't eat it yet. Aww yiss that my girl.
Theo bumps into them since he was looking for her and Pete just slips away.
He wants to know what they were talking about... she can't lie her way out of this
so he wants to know what she got from him but when he sees it he seems relieved
but he was worried for a second because what if she was being proposed to?
Anyway it all good for now... but yea Pete so sus i'm watching him like a hawk.
Theo's problem lies more in being afraid to act so he asks nagisa if
she's ever had any regrets. Can be anything that let to her to having regrets.
Of course she has had some regrets then  Theo continues its like being forced to be able
to choose between two things that matter a great deal. One of them could be a good choice
but there could end up people being affected by it so he's struggling with this.
Everything could be over if he chooses wrongly, especially with being a pawn this hurts him.
Pete got intrusive again but for the sake of the best ending Nagisa responded with
just leaving the matter to him since he is a very thoughtful person. Pete tsks in response
because it was a kind of intimate matter so he just leaves acting as if nothing's wrong but there is.
Theo has his nose full of her smell and doesn't need any external oddities to add to that effect.
Theo knows that everyone wants the queen and he is merely a pawn of the red
so he thinks its wrong to be in love with the queen and is better suited for Milo.
There's no way they can win if a simple pawn were to take her right?
Nagisa wants him to really think about his own feelings, also for some reason
Nagisa grew a pair of ears in this route, it was never visible before but this
was part of the problem Theo was gonna handle. Either way Theo finally ends up confessing
how he feels because Nagisa urged him to express this he felt like he had more confidence.
Of course feelings are mutual by this point and things get sappy. UwU
Next morning some official wants to know where Theo is because the king has collapsed?!
Turns out it is related to the bridge game, Theo ends up following him when he runs off later
which leads to Finn and Nagisa chasing them since they're worried.
Milo is antsy and says Theo should just follow along to which things but he says its different now.
Milo catched on something is off quickly since Theo is speaking his mind more honestly now
which leads to Milo offering Theo a promotion. Finn explains this is a way for Theo
to potentially become a king himself. However there is a snake in the grass
since the condition is that they have to fight... from which no one has returned alive.
Theo accepts the offerer and they settle it at the colosseum in a few days.
Well that escalated quickly! Nagisa decides to give Theo a seeing to that night
because oh no my soft man has suddenly grown quite a pair of balls.
Theo also tells her that she may not be able to go back to being a human, Nagisa
is strangely fine with it and uhm well he figures she must be worried over what just happened
which is true. Nagisa figures he has no chance yet makes his time and while it is true
Milo is stronger he is also fallen with a sickness which makes him weaker.
The possibility of Theo dying still exists since he's not that strong...
still if it happens then he doesn't want her to resent Milo.
Theo then says if Nagisa is there to cheer him on then he will give it his all for sure
then he asks her to pet him like she did way in the beginning.
Things then get a lil raunchy since Theo has been holding back his affection towards her.
Then he gives her medicine so that tomorrow she will be back to being her usual self.
Pete is shocked Nagisa's newly acquired ears and tail are gone, he seems glad the queen
has recovered from this strange illness that was likely related to whatever he's plotting.
Things get raunchy the night before since Theo was in a good mood. Wew~
Milo's about to crack Theo's skull but Theo had to say how no matter what Milo's still be stronger
than anyone as well as the best king he's known. Milo was like whatever bruh bring it.
So it begins... a duel to the death. I'll spare you the details but Theo daydreamed midfight
about the good old days when they were having each others backs, he really admired Milo.
Theo's ace up his sleeve ends up letting those cow things loose into the arena uhm that's
not very fair but okay? he did say he was friendly with those animals but nice asspull.
Finn felt the need to be detailed about how much those errand cows weight too so its bad
news for anyone to get caught under them, Alvin adds the arena itself might not make it.
Milo almost fell down in one of the holes so Theo ends up trying to save him still...
even though Milo is like let go man, Theo's all like hah you're funny for saying that
and won't abandone him even if he himself might fall, he wonders wtf he is doing.
Theo decides to man up and try to do something himself for once with his own hands
since he wants to continue to work at his friends side so they'll go back together.
Nagisa ends up rushing in thanks to Finn and helps them both back up.
Colt makes up some rule on the fly that Theo still gets promoted to vice king
and nothing really happens with the current king. Milo is like wtf man
but Colt just says there's nothing that says this can't happen *wink wink*.
Eno acts abit suspicious and Alvin side eyes him hard and says after a long silence
was that ruckus your doing? Eno denies it but after another silence breaks his own
saying not to leave him behind. Okay traitor, then leave with him.
Afterwards Theo explains a lot had to happen to fix the mess but its all good now
as they had some surprise backings, all's well that ends well huh?!
They get on the topic of having to share the title of king too as well as things that relate to it
such as this room, Milo's obviously the senpai here eheheh but it'll be a nice room
for both Theo and the queen to share and have some fun in. Milo jokes about joining in
but Theo won't let that happen thank god. Seems there's no problem with them using it.
Theo justwants to spend some time with Nagisa right now but she ends up
hijacking his plan and made a move first...😳 YASS queen! but she has to take
some responsibility since it only made him hornier. Oh god just **** already.
Theo's thankful she chose him and given him courage, something he was lacking in.. sure he
might hesitate or face problems in the future but he hopes to tackle them together from now on.
Sadly they didn't roll the credits and the scene that was supposed to be after it was before it
which was just more or less them having fun now and Theo being grateful
plus asking her to live with him, TBH I wish them all the best.
LMAO this CG is cute and all but uhm did they Q&A cuz that border.
Desire ending 1:  For some reason Nagisa loses her brain and gives Theo the candy
she got earlier from Pete. Theo finds it sweet but has no idea what it is...
but he starts acting weird and the happiness was shortlived.
Desire ending 2: Nagisa is convinced it will be fine as long as they're together
to which he says if she has regrets of saying this to which she doesn't.
Theo then decides he won't hold back and that he's not able to be gentle.
Sadly he refuses to let go of her till he's satisfied and he's had his fill.
 They had to add the yandere flair as well since he gets super possesive. >_>;
Bad ending 1: I saw this coming like clockwork; Nagisa accepted Pete's proposal
and Pete felt the need to get in Theo's face about it since she didn't choose a pawn.
Alone he forced her to eat the candy which was sickenly sweet
and Pete made a move on her in a rapey like way. Nagisa can't even think straight.
Honestly while I knew trusting Pete would be a bad idea I didn't think it would end up like this...
anyway I don't think this bad end was funny its disgusting and I am legit horrified.
Bad end 2: During the fight at the end, Theo doesn't make it and Milo turns him into mincemeat.
This was a quick bad end but it was really just the culmination of bad choices throughout the route.
Redcamp bad end 1: Pete the rapist ends up grabbing her when she was alone
and gets uncontrollably violent and wants to take her for himself to become the next king.
Milo ends up finding them and Pete has him look at what lies on the floor, barely alive.
Redcamp bad end 2: Unlike the above bad end, Theo is with her and he's here
to lead her to the king's bedroom. Milo is already there now this doesn't sound so bad huh?
Theo then offers her something sweet which is well you probably guessed it and its the drug.
Theo then suggest Milo to hurry it up to take her for himself. Milo thinks he's out of his mind.
While Milo goes about it Theo keeps saying this is fine as if he thinks he's made
a good choice because if he doesn't hurry he may want a piece of her too.
--
Up untill this route I never thought too hard about the plot but Theo's internal conflict
was beautifully weaved with the overall plot that this was an easy favorite.
Strangely enough this route felt shorter? but that could be cuz the common parts
with Milo were easily gotten through that still didn't stop it from being great to me.
Holy shit why was I so there for Theo's internal conflict?! why was it good?
legit this route could be boring if it wasn't for the internal conflict.
I really hated bad end 1 though like wtf otomate?! rape isn't funny and I can't fucking
believe the did it not once but twice! holy shit I hate Pete so much.😭😭😭
Route rating 8/10

Elijah.
CV: Kimura Ryohei.

Eli seemed like a mostly chill guy and I kind of wanted to do him first but decided against it.
Black camp isn't a strict of a place and there's not much fighting either
everything is pretty relaxed over there and they just play games or so Henao says.
Elijah himself is a pretty laidback person too... with Finn they both ended up saving Nagisa at
the end of the common route from some bloke who wanted to take her to become the next king.
Looks like things won't be that laidback... and there's trouble brewing even in blackcamp.
There's a Casino there and Elijah is a man who loves to play games and win.
Nagisa ends up joining in on the fun too though Finn says the only one having fun here is Eli.
Eli wants to do a bet but something like becoming lovers might be NG(no good).
Nothing much happens but Elijah is trying his hardest to convince Nagisa
he's worth choosing, he'll be kinder than any other beastman for sure or so he says.
I won't lie Elijah sometimes comes across as a joker type of character but also Eli doesn't
seem to be a bad person so I couldn't dislike him since he was extremely chill.
Sometime later Nagisa waltzes in on Elijah being in an embarassing situation
which he'd prefer for her to not have seen, this leads to him asking her to pet him.
Which he likes cause it feels good, ugh he's such a sweet puppy dog. I saw a lot of parallels
with Alvin's route as they both liked being pet and brought up their mother due to it.
Elijah seems to be a lighthearted version of Alvin whom is a grumpy version of Eli, does this
make sense? or am I just imagining the parallels. Either way Eli's route was very fun!
I also had trails of coldsteel warflashbacks because we had to guess which side of coin
would be faced upwards. Elijah goes on about luck a lot but I had my doubts.
I did like that one scene where he didn't notice Finn standing behind him and Eli just
kept yapping having fun in his own way only for Finn to give him a seeing-to.
After some cute handholding, Nagisa asked Finn some questions which relates
to how he and Elijah met and how heis a halfling, most people aren't
very kind to people like him but Elijah really saved Finn by offering him help.
This is why he's so loyal and wants to support him even if there's still walls to overcome.
Elijah and Nagisa end up searching the forest, eventually they find some troublemakers
and Elijah proceeds to confidently deal with them. They had no chance but made their time.
Afterwards Nagisa for some reason wonders if Elijah is a human and he says that's correct.
Well former human... he explains that he's been here for a long time and was one
of the first humans to set foot in Libalium. Honestly this revelation made me go ???
but whatever I guess then Colt randomly pops in again after ditching them before like a traitor.
He confirms that he is of the faith that the two of them can save this world.
For this to happen they need a human but way back when he was there he did some
research that didn't work out and well he ended up as a kemonomimi man.
Elijah says he was just a brat who didn't know wtf he was doing and that his name used to be Jay.
Thus Colt's first attempt to bring in a human to save the world failed miserably.
The next time he tried was now which led to Nagisa coming here but this may be the last
since he is running out of energy and won't be able to bring over any more humans.
For some reason when Elijah interacted with Nagisa he found himself getting
some of his humanity back which all things considered makes a lot of sense
since if she didn't form a good connection with the guys they would uh well yea
you know eat her whole and all that. Nagisa then pokes him the question
to play a game with him since he loves games so much. This boldness
made him admit she's cool since she challenged him to a game
but she has to keep all this a secret since she is special like him.
For now they will return back to their home, they discuss all sort of things later
as well as transforming turn things into animals but they never perfected it
and its more like some sort of evolutionary process. Elijah couldn't even save himself
so Colt tried to help but there's no real way to turn him back. On their date
Eli wonders if Nagisa is worried about him since she keeps bringing it up
and it is like well duh of course I am. She means it in a genuine way of course to which
Eli is thankful and he'll keep his word for their bet, for now they'll just try to have fun.
Also Elijah is apparently old enough to be our grandpa cuz he revealed he came from 1967.
Luckily for us he is no longer grandpa and now a hot ikemen with animal ears.....
Nagisa's reaction to the revelation was only normal, she literally called him an old geezer.😂
Suddenly Eli gets sad since he realized everyone he knew are old now like he would be
which leads Nagisa to realize he looked extremely lonely just now. Eli sees it as a sign
she likes him enough to try to comfort him. Oh to be loved. Eli softly said thank you.
Oh also Finn has seen Eli's human form before since they've been besties for a long time.
Eno ends up butting in and wonders if they've kissed already when Nagisa denies. Then he asks
if he can have one since he loves her so much, luckily Eli appears and tells him to stop
while tauntingly reminding Eno the land upon which he stands is not his own.
Eli gives Eno some coins to lighten the mood and to send him on his way.
Sadly when Finn arrives Eli loses his balance so both him and Nagisa fell down.
This... lead to an embarrassing situation and they accidently kissed? Aaaaaaaa~~
Eli seemed to be flabbergasted by the whole ordeal and even Nagisa needed a moment.
Colt butts in and starts to wonder if they did it already... Nagisa made him say it twice
because she couldn't believe what he just said, LMAO. he apologizes for being blunt about it.
Colt wants to talk to her later and its about Elijah's condition its like an illness...
which is actually really unstable, its actually more like a virus which evolves them.
Its this why Eli transformed from a human to what he's now. The reason he is dog-like
is because of Jay really but before he could transform into a japanese wolf Jay died.
Cold then compares it to water and ice and Elijah is like water that's yet to be completely frozen
which is why he's been giving him medicine to maintain his form and stop the progression
thus Elijah has never fully become a beastkin. Nagisa somehow gets it.
Colt then proceeds to say the only way to stop it is another human so he had to summon Nagisa
and the best medicine is for him to be at her side. Maybe Eli will even be able
to become human again. Colt then gets sappy that love may play a role as well.
There's a lot to consider as well as stop with using the medicine but for now its enough.
Nagisa ended up making a move on Eli in the springs by giving him a quick kiss
which only made him do the same. They end up chilling till its night time.
Colt still has some medicine left for Eli but they gotta becareful with using it from now on
but Elijah ends up sneaking up on their engagement. He gets the wrong idea for some reason
but he tries to brush it off since its not like they were officialy lovers anyway.
Things get awkward for a while... but Eli gets to cool his head for a bit
and eventually things get better but then some grunt informs some red and black folks
have started a fight. Eli is unusually chill but the grunt is panicking so Eli checks it out.
They don't seem to care the king himself is here... who tries to calm down the situation
by telling them to settle it with a drinking contest cuz this is an bar/restaurant.
Of course Elijah himself is partaking in some drinks, can they beat him?
Milo came to check it out too but everything's already settled so he wonders where Nagisa is
since she's not around who then teases them since they should be engaged by now.
Eli then seems to notice something is off and even Milo thinks he's weaker than usual
to which Eli confirms he's started to revert to being a human. How and why is this happening?!
Then Eli notices the medicine but Milo doesn't get what he is on about, wtf my dude
but then he investigates the bottle which smells oddly like Nagisa.
Eli wants to slap himself for not noticing but all this time Nagisa turned the tables against him
by working with Colt, he thanks Milo who isn't sure wtf is going on really.
Nagisa waited for him at horizon's edge is what I call the archeozoic big hole
everything was for this moment, working together with Colt etc.
Elijah embraces her from behind and apologizes for doubting her, he realized this is why
she relied on Colt. If he had thought harder he'd have figured it out sooner but he didn't.
Sadly some grunts decided to attack them who're the same folks up to no good before.
Eli ends up playing a little russian roulette with them..... is the gun loaded or is it not?
omg Eli can you be anymore risky?! they all end up scurring off in a hurry and finally
just the two of them remain. Nagisa is reasonably upset at that move of his just now as am I.
Eli ends up putting a ring on her finger and he wanted to do this sooner but he forgot
which is why his room was a little messy, I didn't think this was anything of note but it was.
Eli finally confesses how he feels as well, again he apologizes for getting jealous when
she was with Colt that night and he is so relieved Nagisa didn't give up on him.
Of course Nagisa feels the same way, it was so obvious from her actions.
They end up sharing the bed that night and thinks get very sappy.
I was wondering why there was even a 9th chapter as it started out all fun with a lil smut.
There's still the matter of saving the world or so to speak but he's so glad
Nagisa came to Libalium and whatever happens he wants to stay at her side.
The feeling is all mutual and Nagisa too is glad to have met this dork.
Later that night Nagisa seems to have gotten dog ears as she has resonated with Elijah
much like she did with Theo... she doesn't like it one bit especially when Eli teases her for it.
Eli in turn seems to have lost his ears and gained a pair of human ones... I don't get it
but I get that his problem isn't progressing and he won't turn into a wolf.
Desire end 1: Nagisa ends up fucking up and Eli wants to know what's wron but it concerns him
so she is forced to spill the beans but he loves her regardless. This ending was very abrupt
and unable to actually go into anything with further context.
Desire end 2: Seems more like an alternate end to the best end but this time
she ends up putting a collar on Eli with a leash and treats him like an actual dog.
Eli is just okay with it he'll be her knight, her dog or a wolf................. uhm okay I guess.😅
Bad end 1: Eli let's down his guard and drops something which some shady person picked up
and ends up throwing away just to piss Eli off. Nagisa ends up finding a crime scene
and wonders wtf happened here. She finds Eli unconcious so she asks Finn for help
but at the world edge the earth slowly starts to crumble signaling the end.
Blackcamp desire end 1: This is gotten from the shared common route and starts with some
shameless hotspring fun, Nagisa almost fainted but she got two hot men taking care of her
so there was no problem yet till later when Elijah approached her and invited her to his room.
He says Finn will be joining them as well but idk it didn't feel good and this end made me legit
uncomfortable as it turned into some 3p stuff. Not my kink but the CG was good to illustrate it.
I don't mind being sammiched by two hot men but not like this! I can't believe it?😱
Wtf otomate...
Blackcamp desire end 2: Similar to the above, I barely noticed any difference as it end the same
the writer must've thought the ending was good so why not recycle it one more time!
Why the fuck did it take me 4 routes to find a plot relevant route in this game
while the rest was literally just... some hints here and there at more going on
without touching up on any of the stuff that was touched upon here in Elijah's?
Hmm I guess this is a common problem for not all LI to be as relevant but holy shit
this is impressive, I didn't even know and I saved some plot relevant route for later.😂
Also Nagisa was so good in this route, she literally turned the tables on Eli yass queen!
The route was a lot of fun though, it wasn't disappointing in terms of reveals or romance
Sadly I fail to see how any other routes are relevant to Elijah's problem which seems pretty major
but oh well can't complain the poster boy was lacklustre this time eh?
Most of Eli's bad ends were pretty tame though... funny how most other routes
have shit with gore and such but blackcamp? its just some generic bad end and softporn.
Route rating 9.5/10.

Finn.
CV: Azakami youhei.
Mister serious business, he's taciturn and you won't know what's on his mind just by looking.
Finn is a man of action and one of his scenes in the common route immediately sold me on him
like Nagisa was helping him find a coin in a field of flowers, he showed his gratitude
by putting a flower in her hair.💕 Finn the Rook and is like Eli's right-hand man.
Finn is also someone that shouldn't be messed with as he can deal quite a blow.
This route focused on the other side of Alvin's dilemma his brother who is also like him a halfbreed.
Nagisa saw Finn wanted them to reconcile and overcome their differences
but Alvin has trouble seeing it so he's like you filthy traitor hmph!
LMAO I think it was fitting to end the game with this route or atleast the personal routes
since Finn and Alvin are basically two sides of the same coin.
Finn was such a sweetheart though if that one common route scene didn't sell me on him
the scene of him sheltering Nagisa from the rain absolutely did. He says he hates rain
but he still covered the queen so she didn't get wet. Absolute husbando material.
Finn was the stronger of the two brothers but even he had his fears when they were
left alone and had to fight for survival and as we know eventually Eli found him
but Finn is not yet ready to tell the full tale of the halfbreed brothers.
Finn thinks Alvin is right to blame him or see him as a traitor but Nagisa reassures
that its not Finn's fault or anything, Alvin has yet to see the other side of things.
Sadly this route confirms the black kitty twins Henao & Heydurr are racist against halfbreeds
cuz they were like ew not one of those, Betty also just peeks from the corner and sigh's.
Later Nagisa ends up following some people into the woods and when they ask
to help some poor guy who's also a halfbreed, Eno comes crawling from the bushes
but he finds the situation weird, Nagisa wants Eno to stop calling Finn like he's less than.
Eno says she's only one that doesn't seem to mind halfbreeds and treats them like anyone else
well besides the black king. Nagisa explains that they're still people too. Eno be like
heh that's just human way of thinking! Nagisa: well I am human afterall.
Nagisa goes with him to whitecamp to have a chat with Alvin... as he responds
with indifference he suddenly asks if she is in love with Finn.
Eno is convinced that since he's been a good boi he and Nagisa should go ichaicha in his
room but just then Finn shows up behind him looking angry and he has all the right tbh.
Eno withdraws counting the lives he still has left. Finn looks angry and says he can smell someone
then he picks Nagisa up and the next she gets dropped in the hotspring. Finn says
that his smell isn't disappearing after all this. Nagisa then remembers something
like this happened to Elijah and he had to bear it for a week while he hid some goods.
Uh well I guess Finn has a sensitive nose... anyway Nagisa is like wait hold up---
and then Finn just kisses her and the scene gets a little better. Still Nagisa tells him to stop
and he apologizes as he was lost in the moment and wasn't thinking straight. Nagisa figures
that he likes her and that is true since he has never shown anyone else such affection. Things
get raunchy and its really obvious how much bigger Finn is, Nagisa is so smol in comparison.
Finn is somewhat relieved the feelings are the same but then wonders what humans
do in this situation which is well uhm I swear to god Finn is such a dork but they get there
one step at a time, holy shit this was so funny and cute at the same time.
Its only chapter 7 but here we are! doing things most do in the final chapter.😂😂😂
Afterwards Finn casually reveals to Eli that they've become a thing who congratulates him.
Eli acts like he already knew about it which makes Nagisa embarrassed.
There's still some matters they need to attend to and Nagisa almost forgot
about something she saw in the forest so they'll take care of that later.
The two visit the meadow again and things get a bit romantic but then Alvin shows up
and says Finn could betray her due to his roots. Finn says he swears he'll do no such thing.
Alvin still hasn't forgiven him and still places blame on Finn for leaving
so he better protect the queen as it may be the key to stop what happened in the past
and give halfbreeds a better representation cuz its shit right now.
Then Alvin says he smells something burning and Finn heard something.
Anyway Alvin goes on his way so the two lovebirds get to continue to enjoy their night.
Alvin ends up overhearing bits and pieces of people plotting something
and lament he couldn't hear everything. Meanwhile Nagisa and Finn
are literally just fucking around I kid you not while some folks are plotting shit
I mean priorities right? but its route 6 so I no longer am surprised.
Next time they go into the forest the place is all fogged up and Elijah noticed
danger looming ahead so he just grabbed Nagisa. Turns out it ODD
the organisation that always causes trouble etc. Basically they're against
the halfbreed becoming king so they're targeting the current king to prevent it
since they've of mind only purebloods should rule. Finn was targeted too so he tries to hurry
to the king's side. Eli's holding up okay but his opponent's not going easy on him.
Eli got beaten so now the guy who beat him up challenges Finn to a duel
and whoever wins gets the right to be the next king or something.
There's some folk from Rabid who place their fate in Finn since he is what he is.
Finn knocks out the ODD member like he had no chance but made his time
so now Finn accepts the right to be the next king. Finn then randomly tells
anyone else that isn't Eli,Nagisa or himself to die like he's Lelouch or something.
If they can't help themself Finn offers to lend them a hand.😨
Eli said as much because what a king says is what goes! its a rule in Libalium.
They try to rebel but Finn is having none of it and he's very angry at the state of things.
Eli crawls back up cuz its not like he's letting them get to him that easily.
They all try to make their way back to the city but on the way back
they notice a weird smell, its from explosives and there's still some lingering
terrorists crawling around wondering how they all survived.
Alvin crawls from the bushes and since he knows Finn has fulfilled his promise
to protect the queen and Alvin starts scratching some ODD members alongside his bro Finn
as they have eachothers backs. They tell Nagisa to stay back so Eli takes care of her while
they let loose. Eli says its funny how Finn, someone who's kinder than anyone else
and rarely hurts a hair on someones head is going at it like that.
They all headback home and the only real problem now is that there are two kings!
Finn proposes the two play a game and if Eli loses he'll take his place.
Not that he had a chance, all's well that ends well as they spend some quality time together.
Desire end: Nagisa doesn't tell Finn to stop when he abruptly kissed her in the springs
things end up kind of awkward because of it. Finn skipped out on dinner
since he and Nagisa spend time together. Finn wants her to become completely his.
Bad end 1: Nagisa gets hurt during the fighting against ODD, when Finn arrives
he wonders what happened but he  decides he doesn't want to be apart from her as some more explosions go off, meh kinda abrupt end but I figure he devoured her or something.
Whitecamp bad ending 1: some random kid waltzes in and blames Nagisa
for what happened to his brother, no one was there to protect her and she gets stabbed to death.
Elijah got there too late, idk this bad ending felt really random to me.
Whitecamp bad end 2: Same as the above except Finn finds her instead of Eli.
I liked Finn, the story in his route expanded a lot on things already established
in Alvin's route so it was another side to things. Romance wise I think it may
have went a bit too fast but it was very obvious he liked Nagisa so atleast
Finn didn't suffer inscrutably to express it so that was good. Other than that
there wasn't much of a plot because the romance was the plot.
Not that 6 routes in I had any other expectations for plot to carry this game, nope.
The bad endings weren't that bad and felt pretty standard and not as extreme
as in some of the other routes which is probably why I liked it more overall.
Finn's desire end was pretty good and it all fit his character but the whitecamp bad ends here
felt as if creativity had died since they just recycled it and made two versions with very little difference.
Route rating 9/10 because it compliments Alvin very well.
~

Colt.(Grandfinale end)
CV: Toriumi Kousuke.
If you do all the best ends there's still one more route to do, I thought it would be a Colt
route but hmm... while I can't see him as a LI at all he's still a pretty major character.
Nagisa doesn't choose anyone and Colt is forced to actually explain it all
and Libalium has no shortage of problems as we have found out throughout the routes.
Things also work differently from the human world and the people don't hold
he same values albeit they're similar enough they exist. It felt like this route exists
solely to explain anything to the player you've yet to piece together yourself
while also explaining why it is the way it is. Instead of just... letting you figure it out
which never really let to you solving one of the major problems the world faced.
So if you wondered where the plot went it is in here! sadly that bastard Colt gives them
all one final riddle for them all to solve which will become the key to save za warudo.
Milo drops a braindead comment which is that it sounds similar to what
the goal used to be like which just makes him want to butt heads with Eli.
They all sit around a table and discuss how to go about this or wtf it even means.
The world they live in is a very unfortunate place that is waiting for its end or so Colt says...
okay shut up Meteion. Maybe I was too harsh but Colt is very fluffy, would pet.
Finn points out the members of Ravid in black and white are different in what they're after as well.
Most of this route felt very cozy with the way they went about it so it was a very pleasant experience!
Colt is also just like a sort of overseer of this world and doesn't have much power
especially to prevent its end, so he used what he had to try and prevent it
which meant bringing in humans and guide them. He also believes he is doing
the right thing even if it means that as a god he is embracing death in solitude.
He then reveals that while he can be seen as this worlds god, he is also a vessel or puppet
because that it is the only way he can walk upon the earth. So if god dies so will he
and he may not be able to see the world when it is saved. Nagisa wonders if he's serious
about any of this but Colt knows very well what his duty is. He's strangely okay
with potentially being thrown away if need be. Nagisa tries to convince him
whether he's really okay with the stuff he just said and what he really feels about it. Which just
leads him to tell her is that he wants nothing but everyone to be saved from the bottom of his heart.
Colt does seem to have some conflicting feelings but yea... its a sad state of affairs.
Other than that Finn and Alvin try to get passed things so it does try to do the true end effect
Nagisa helped Finn to get the point across and tell Alvin the truth as it is which helped.
They all still can't figure out what the riddle is supposed to mean so they turn their eyes on
the colour and if it isn't any of their repective camps then it has to be something else
so they turn their attention to the water. Before that they sorta solve Milo's problem
and make Nagisa managed to keep Pete in check thank god. Alvin comes to apologize
for the scene earlier with Finn and explains they're twinbrothers incase you forgot
then he expresses his thanks for the opportunity for being able to make up.
They end up figuring it out when they're out on the beach during the sunset
then Colt drops more hints but refuses to elaborate further.
Colt knew the what it was along but there would be no meaning in telling them
as he wanted them all to figure it out on their own. To see if they have what it takes.
He then asks them to follow him and tells them that this world they're in is like
a miniature garden that he oversees. At first he loved watching his little world and
the people in it but realized he had made an error and to fix it.
Colt started bringing in humans, he erred again with Eli then Nagisa was his last hope for
his world and wants to teach them humanity or find a way to unite the worlds
so that even without him he'd know it'll be okay. They all need
some time to process the infodump though. Like they were just told
the creation myth of their world as well as how they were made by a god.
Milo drops in later to let Nagisa know he has somewhat made up with Milo and is on
much better terms, he said he was so nervous and admit he has been a bit of a traitor.
Also while he likes everyone he really loves Nagisa. This time it really seems
he has everyones best interest at heart which was a relief.
Later Colt realizes he may want to talk more with Nagisa and wishes he had met
her sooner it may have given his life much more meaning. Next day he invites
him to a special room where they can see the world as he sees it which
was right under their nose all along. There he gives them a choice which will shape
their future, in a way it sort of hints that humans and beastkin will blend together.
Colt will always watch over them however they will be able to shape their own future.
Its not an easy choice to make since they may need to throw away some of their own colour.
They think of what will happen to bridge games and maybe they can use it to decide the outcome.
Nagisa mulls it over while taking a bath and for the sake of the best ending we choose Colt
over Libalium. They all use the arena to tell the people the answers they have found.
Most people can't believe it and are flabbergasted, I would too tbh. A world ruled without
colour where everyone is free, like milk and honey.(final chapter title).
They all decide there is no one better to be king than Colt, whom gets confused
at what they're trying to say even questioning his own origins.
Colt seems to believe the rules of his world don't affect himself personally
Eli says that maybe just maybe Colt himself could save the world too
if he becomes the king who is tied to nothing.(Mushoku no ou)
Colt also casually reveals he can use magic and can just teleport the stone tabled
right into the arena which he does so no need to go back to the forest.
After he touches the tabled Eli explains Colt is now one of them, Colt then gets dramatic
as the end lures near but there is hope since there is a god among them.
The rules of the world will change and from now on will live by human rules.
Colt gives everyone one choice, to go down with the world or watch it be reborn/merged.
Eli backs him up that while they may not know what lies ahead but there is
plenty of opportunities, they can choose to their own colour as well
then asks them if they're willing to bet with him on it. Everyone else also does the same
and try to convince everyone of what is about to happen to their world.
Things get dramatic when its Alvin's turn since Betty since he was her
biggest hope for people like them. He can't quite reassure her that earth is any better
and that there aren't any halfbreeds but there are all sorts of people who live there too
that can work together. Betty says she wants to remain here... since she's unsure.
Nevertheless Alvin tries to convince her, that she can take it slowly.
After that is over Colt wonders what colour mushoku would look like...
and that he wants to know what colour they all will transform into.
Colt wants to see it all and regains his will to live as their new king.
Now that all the pieces have gathered, they have to move to a specific
spot in Colt's room. Betty is the bishop and moved without issue
as did Eno the knight along with Theo the pawn.  Finn threw a hissyfit but Eli tried his
hardest to push his Rook. Since Finn refused to move Pete offered to be the Rook instead.
Alvin says its because they're brothers and wants Finn back.... aww.
Now all there's left is the clock, before they go they go place flowers
at Alvin&Finn's mother's grave. Even if they can't come here anymore they won't forget.
The end is ever coming closer so they visited horizon's edge before going to their
final destination the beach which marks the time they have to make the finishing touches.
As it turns white, someone is heard thanking them for everything yet saying they
hope they haven't noticed how he has just remade everything in the span of a few minutes.
Nagisa ends up back in her world and there's something on the news and Colt
makes a surprise appearance and everyone shows up in Nagisa's world
so the merging was a success afterall! all's well that ends well. Or is it? since it is a
harem end everyone sort of fights over Nagisa still. Some things never change do they?
There's a desire end here as well and it isn't that much different of an outcome except
everyone being a bit more rowdy over there as they explore the human world.
While I had trouble finishing this route this was mostly because it was pretty long
but it was still fun seeing everyone trying to figure out the riddle so its not that bad at all!
I guess I didn't expect the game to suddenly become so plot focused as it was
very character focused up untill now with the plot just being kinda there.
There were moments I wanted to fastforward since it tried to tie everything
together which dragged the route on a bit but decided against that since everything
really did make sense and it was resolved well enough that I slowly started feeling satisfied.
This route made me realize there is some pretty decent story to be found afterall
and the worldbuilding is pretty good, it was all just sacrificed to be an ero-novel instead.😅
The only crime this route commited was that there were barely any CG's, I wish there
were a few with Colt or something since some moments had left me wanting.
One thing that annoys me is what even happens at the end of everyone else's
best end? do the worlds just merge too or is everything still headed for its end?!
it seems either there could be a FD or they want to build from here with a sequel.
Route rating 9/10

Route enjoyment:
Finale > Finn/Alvin > Elijah > Theo / Milo >  Eno.
I usually rank them based on plot but uh most routes felt rather lacklustre so it is what it is.
Theo being higher is due to his internal conflict which I thought was beautifully written
and brought out the game's storybeats to its fullest, Elijah's route just felt like they wanted
it to be canon but scratched the idea quickly. I enjoyed aspects of Alvin and Finn's routes
complimenting each other and think there is no bad route, its hard to rank them based on plot
there's hints everywhere so you gotta do the grand finale if you want it to tie together.
Eno/Milo/Theo all had the worst bad ends by far so that is why they are place last.

Fav character as in who I actually liked:
Finn > Milo > Alvin > Elijah > Theo > Nagisa > Colt > Eno > Skylar / kitty twins > Betty > Pete.
I'd probably pick most guys over Eno TBH... but Eno is still miles better than that rapist Pete.
Alvin was pretty much the first guy I fell for and even after everything I look
back fondly at him, he's definitely worthy of being in my top 3.
Milo is a moe cupcake and I loved him but out of his route he was just an angry tsun
so yea that's why Milo babyboi is second place. UwU Finn's best husbando ever no contest.

Final Thoughts?!
No fullcomp CG but this will do since at first no sprite shows, just their colour.

Aww yea! finally found a fluffy otome game with a decent amount of spice
it came at the cost of plot but it was still pretty decent for being romance focused.😄
Speaking of plot, the truth route took care of it in a fun way and it wasn't boring.
Honestly if you want a romance oriented VN look no further! i'd say................
but I am thankful that I use a guide because hooboy there were landmines.😨
NGL Honey Vibes is both the best and worst of otomate. An impressive feat really.

Most routes tended to focus more on the relationship and whatever issue the character had
so whatever plot there was felt like an afterthought. I liked the heroine but she did seem a bit
unsure at times which I found relatable tbh because I wouldn't be sure what to do in her situation.
More often than not she does make the right decisions and she's definitely out there
but some bad ends can definitely make her seem like a dumb blonde.
Also this game definitely was shameless about what it is, it had situations I had not even
seen in a long time but are definitely common in harem settings, some of it was hilarious.
One thing that irked me is that there's no scene/epilogue after the credits even for the best end
so like in Theo's route you get some really sappy scene and then another reaffirmation
of everything right after it which hurt the pacing and I think it would be better
if they had divided the scenes with the credit roll.

At the end of the day I would recommend Honey Vibes for the romance, not its plot
which I found to be very watered down and in some cases quickly becomes
will they or won't they? or just plain just fuck already! in some routes like Eno
it tends to lean to keeping the panties on for as long as possible or else its a bad end.
So its best enjoyed with a guide because of the landmines ruining the vibe.
Some bad ends contain rape and/or being devoured. My disappointment was immeasurable
and my day ruined or well my mood definitely dropped after seeing some of that shit.
If you're just here for fun & romance just use a guide and stick to the best end.
I did get tired of the general plot by route 3 and was just there for the fluff. I even struggled
to remember what each was about by route 4, its so obvious its a character game.
Sure there are things that connect and are explained as you play but its not done
in a very memorable way so the only things I remembered was the cute moments.
Even after 4 routes Alvin remained to be the cutest kitty cat.
Like it has great characters and those definitely sold the game for me but yea... till the
finale route the story felt like it just was kind of there to back everything else up.
Some bad ends didn't even have much substance and felt like they were just
there to signal maybe you should change your approach which is good in a way
but more often than not they were a total killjoy and a vivid reminder
to not judge this game by its cover cuz it ain't all sunshine and rainbows.
The rational ending is pretty much the best possible outcome and anything
other than that  ended up being pretty bad. You'd think something  like desire would
be raunchy but I can count on one hand the times it was actually fun to see.
Honestly looking at it, this game is a character game at its core, its a bit sad
most routes don't really have much of a plot but its still quite enjoyable for what it is.
8/10
Honey vibes was pretty good but for now I will bid the otome genre farewell
for a while and just focus on other things like kdrama's or other games.
