Majestic☆Majolical - review

 Genre: VN.
Developer/publisher: Dazkarat.
Platform: PC/Switch.
Release date: 22/12/2022.

This originally was a segmented release much like taisho x alice on PC
but they have made an all in one switch port which collects them.
It took them like four years but it happened, and i'm actually kind of glad they did!
I never heard from this developer before but I was still excited to try out their game
maybe cuz it reminds me of wand of fortune if only a little! and with not much
new otome game releases I was like why not? why should I not support this game?
Also for the switch version there is a new route; Jasper Beryl so they have definitely tried
to make it worth to pick up the port if you hadn't played it before cuz there's something new..

The protagonist Lapis is an apprentice magician who is tasked dealing with some troublesome
humans and collect gems for science! by getting close to them. Regardless she remains optimistic
and tries her best! she also had a little spunk. She wasn't useless and could definitely hold her own!
Though the part of collecting gems reminded me a little of Clamp's Kobato as well
but other than that the two series are not similar at all, just the bottle part.

Pro's
- A confident heroine atleast I found her to be so.
- Interesting characters in each volume that contrast each other well.
- Mostly light-hearted, doesn't shy away from bad ends.
- Amazing art and backgrounds, Music fit the mood.

Con's
- A bit on the short side...
- Playing it blind can be difficult because of not knowing how much or little gems are needed.
- NTR ends but really there were only two I consider being such.

The art style looked really cute and the backgrounds seemed pretty well done too.
I really loved the fantasy setting! is that the right way to describe it? hmm if I had to look
at the world design it reminded me of europe but not very modern.
The voice cast of this game had a lot of popular seiyuu that I went like OMG its Kaji Yuuki!
or Shimono Hiro as some of them I haven't heard in quite a while.
*If one of your fav seiyuu is in this game it could be worth a spin*
The pacing was alright, this vn wasn't slowpaced that it took hours for anything to happen
and I am really glad for that as otomate's VN's tired me out lately.
Nothing seemed to drag on for too long while still delivering cute moments etc.
This with some exceptions kept it light and fun! At times it did feel like it went a little fast but...
they were going to school and interacting like every day, falling in love can happen like this so its
not totally unbelievable. Honestly I found it heartwarming to see Lapis and Mitsuki grow closer...
This game is more romance oriented, which is great if you're tired of games where
the romance is but an after thought! or get to dating right at the end.

System; There are four different endings and as well as a sort of petting minigame
this is how the protagonist is able to get gems; how many gems you get determine the end.
Its not annoying; especially if you use a guide telling you how much to pet the bishie
it might get a bit more difficult if you don't use a guide but hey if you're stuck they exist!
Playing it blind could be fun too! honestly after a bunch of otomate games
that only had happy and good ends, I very well prefer otome games or VN in general
that like actually make it so my choices can change what happens.
MajeMajo is one of those VN where depending on your choices things
could turn out a little different!

I did encounter a bug at the end of Ruu's route that caused my game to lag and crash
but with force skipping I managed to get to the ending... not sure why but it seems
that there is an extra graphical effect that just slows down the game to an extend it can
no longer function. I play on a switch lite so cannot tell if it is present on the other model...
but if it is, just force skip the text or wait out a patch? if there is any.

I thought it was great was how the guys of the volumes are different in contrast to each other.
MajeMajo can look a bit deceiving though like if you see the cover of the game
and think oh this looks like it'll be dark full of toxic love interests then i'm here to tell you
a flat out no its not like that at all, most of the game outside of  Shiki or Ruu's route was fairly light.
All of the characters did have their own set of problems yet this game is no diabolik lovers
but even then if you like to live dangerously those two routes exist.
I loved all the cg's! they were gorgeous. The music is like, at its best it adds to the vibe
and at its worst its just there. One may think this game is short but hmm is that a bad thing?
I think if you're tired of games that are long winded or just seem to keep going MajeMajo is
actually kind of nice because you get all the same things just that it knows to not let it drag on.
The love interests are diverse and you'd probably find someone that catches your eye or
are totally like oh hell no! despite it being short it was still fun to me.
Things to keep in mind is that MajeMajo focuses more on romance than its overall plot!
Vol1&2 are very character specific and its not untill vol.3 that it tries to focus on story and lore.
The addition of the Jasper route makes its story more well-rounded than its original PC release
you may as well ask why they didn't include it to begin with since it further
added to the picture+his character . So I think this switch port is pretty good
in value despite that 1 bug I encountered which is actually pretty game-breaking.πŸ˜₯
9/10
*Edit: Without the Jasper route it would be a 7/10 so I guess that shows...*
An enjoyable otome game that I will most likely remember for having extremely cute and heartwarming scenes as well as some whackos(not all of the guys are like that I swear!).
I could recommend this game if you have a good grip on your japanese!
as sadly it isn't out in english at the moment but that might change.

Since this game was segmented by volume I will be going by release order so my play order
will be like: Mitsuki > Shiki  > Shinnosuke > Shoutaro > Shell > Ruu > Jasper.
You can't do volume 3 till atleast one route is complete, Jasper unlocks after Ruu
but it is recommended to do Ruu later due to him having the most story spoilers.
So well there you have it! there's not too much choice due to how it works!

More character rambles after the jump! there will be spoilers + my fav cg's.

Vol.1
The love interests here are two highschoolers, one of which is shy and the other a bit of a flirt.

Kashimori Mitsuki.
CV: Masuda Toshiki.
 The shy one, people appear to be afraid of his smile/eyes and say it can suck a persons soul out. O_O;
Surely they exagerrate right? or are just bullying him. Mitsuki is actually very friendly
and helpful when Lapis transferred into their school. PS: His smile is precious.
TBH Mitsuki is precious, he was absolutely adorable.........
I don't have too much to write about and honestly there's not much too it
and it was pretty straight-forward! it was very enjoyable nontheless
despite him having a traumatic past and a selfish grandpa.
The best ending was really nice and thanks to meeting Lapis, Mitsuki grew more brave
in dating her, he try to stand up against his grandpa who is rather old fashioned and tries
to decide everything about his grandson. Lapis ended up intervering and officials found out.
There was some rule of not being able to use magic in the human world... thus
Mitsuki ends up finding out. He doesn''t care much only that she backed him up.
Lapis is forced to leave and return to her own world's academy.
Mitsuki isn't able to forget and Lapis wants to go back to see him, Hauyne ends up
supporting her as always even if it means betraying the academy.
They promise to stay together from now on and its a happy end thanks to wingman Hauyne.
Sadly due to this Lapis actually gives up on live on the otherside but atleast she is happy with her man!
The dependant ending has you collect more magic but this isn't a good thing, Mitsuki's dad
ended up falling down when he confronted his son cuz Mitsuki pushed him away.
Jasper takes care of it and figures out Lapis fell in love with Mitsuki
and in a strange turn of events they're forced to take the poor guy in too.
Mitsuki is pretty much blaming himself and going full emo for killing his grandpa
which is understandable since it was an accident. Even tho they managed to save
his grandpa's life, Mitsuki doesn't get it anymore but Lapis is there for him.
So even tho it is a sad end, it is also not a sad one...? but rather a good end.
Bad ending: Not collect enough magic and one day Mitsuki just up and disappears
probably cuz his grandpa forced him to do whatever he wants him to do.
Lapis is heartbroken and returns home...
There is also a rival end and uh well if you show some interest in Shiki instead of
Mitsuki earlier on in the route, Shiki will say he is interested in Lapis and likes her too.
Lapis will think about it... and Shiki is like well atleast I didn't get rejected right of the bat!
Why does this spell like trouble? cuz it is...! as the route goes on Lapis figured out
that Shiki doesn't like her at all which just makes him want her more.
Later when Lapis makes her way to Mitsuki's home, Shiki shows up
and tells her that he left but if she leaves now with him they might make it.
On the way there Shiki knocks her out and she is in some cabin with him god knows where....
with a chain on her too! awww yissss the uguu cage of love is back baby! Shiki you bastard.
Shiki calls her his cute little kitten too which doesn't make it much better.
Unfortunately I don't think Shiki had only good things in mind....... but he isn't that nasty.
Shiki is just happy to get to see so many expressions.😱😱😱
Waaaaah Mitsuki!!!! tho I do wonder what he will do in Shiki's rival end.
Anyway I liked Mitsuki and thought he was adorable! most of his cg's makes
my heart warm by just looking at them. Except the rival end, let's not go there!
Sadly while I adore Mitsuki, I think outside of volume 1 he had little impact
on the story as a whole and thus might be easy to forget about still that
doesn't change the fact he is absolutely an angel.
~

Kosada Shiki.
CV: Kaji Yuuki.
Shiki is friendly but a bit flirty too! Let's just pretend the rival end in the route prior did not happen!
I will say that Kaji Yuuki's voice acting was absolutely superb which is really nice.
I liked the scene where Shiki avoided Lapis getting hit with a ball and he got all embarrassed
for her seeing him being uncool in the infirmary. Dude I think what you did was cool already.πŸ˜…
Apparently Lapis got her hands on a gem that is pretty bad news sso Hauyne wants her
to give up on pursuing Shiki since its pretty much a given that this guy is bad news! (I know...)
However Lapis goes puppy eyes and they let her do as they please so they end up dating.😨
Well we find out that Shiki is easily jealous and he kind of freaked out and forced himself on Lapis
when he saw her casually talk to Mitsuki and doesn't want her too. So basically he's possessive.
Hauyne tells her again to stop pursuing Shiki cuz he knows those gems are a bad sign...
and to find another person to obtain gems from. Lapis doesn't want to give up though!
which just leads to them growing closer however Shiki gets even more extreme
and doesn't want her to go near Mitsuki whatever tehe reason.
Shiki knows how uncool he is now... and doesn't want her to reject and abandon him.
Love makes people do weird things huh? after hearing her out later he apologizes
after realizing how he feels about her, he didn't even think he could love.
The best end has him become the doting boyfriend anyone would want
while also knowing what makes him happy, Hauyne isn't exactly happy but whatever
she can stop now... effective immediately cuz they're going home!
Lapis doesn't wasnt to go home though! they let her see into his heart
and it shows how he could potentially hurt or even kill if she doesn't do what he wants.
Hauyne ends up confronting Shiki about those facts and he quickly turns around
and says he wants to get rid of those ugly feelings, he begs them for help with it
just to be with the person he wants to be with. So Hauyne ends up helping him out to literally
change his feelings so he won't turn into a monster. In Shiki's heartspace for lack of better word
Hauyne makes his own sister suffer in Shiki's as to show him how not to act.
They get sappy and think it'll take a while but... Hauyne says the treatment is over already
and Shiki passed with flying colours, his abandonment issues should be mostly gone.
Lapis is able to go home and Shiki waited patiently for her to come back cuz he loves her
like a normal person and not some crazy yandere. Dependant end: Gathered too many gems
and she ends up telling how she has to go back home soon but Shiki convinces her to stay
that there's nothing to wrry about and he'll take care of everything. Oooh boy.
Lapis is forced to stay in the appartment waiting for him to come home everyday.
Bad end: This is basically the worst thing that could happen and he tries to kill Lapis
for not staying with her,  this time however Hauyne isn't there to help and r.i.p!
Rival end: Mitsuki ends up figuring it out something is up and is worried about her.
Lapis says Shiki and her are in love but Mitsuki says then why do you not look happy?
Time passes and Lapis continues dating Shiki, then one day she runs into Mitsuki who
confesses how he feels about her and that he likes her. He didn't like it when he saw her so sad.
Lapis is thankful and things continue the way they are for a bit till one day Shiki loses it
like in the bad end and tries to kill her cuz she should only belong to him, only look at him.
Thankfully unlike the bad end it happened in the classroom and Mitsuki walks in and
punches Shiki! that's right the meek Mitsuki punched someone and tells Shiki to get his shit
together cuz if you like someone you shouldn't try to hurt them. Aaaand a fight breaks out....
Mitsuki ends up in the hospital and Shiki in a psych ward. Lapis ends up visiting Mitsuki
and is thankful for being alive plus being with a man that won't hurt her.
God bless this angel!
Anyway it should be obvious that I don't really like Shiki outside of the best end!
this dude got way to many issues and I actually liked how the shy Mitsuki grew a spine
and saved Lapis from potentially getting killed at Shiki's hands. Sorry i'm a total Mitsuki simp!
At the end of the day I will probably only remember Shiki for being a psycho...
a seemingly lovely one at that. *Sigh*
~

There's also a Hauyne end aka Lapis's big sis errr big bro! but it felt like
some common route consolation prize if you didn't get onto Shiki or Mitsuki's route
as Lapis gets send back for failing to collect any gems but her big sis err bro has her back!
as he helps her out with her lessons every step of the way. Its better than nothing!
~

Vol. 2
The love interests in this volume are two near identical twins...
oh boy what could go wrong here? but let's try and find out what they're all about!

Mibu ''Koko'' Shinnosuke.
CV: Shimono Hiro.
The younger brother, who is sharp tongued and a brocon apparently... he constantly
appears to be angry for reasons I don't get that his brother has to go out of his way
to tell him to be polite. Due to his attitude problems I ended up doing his route first!
Honestly I know he probably doesn't mean well and he'll probably lose the tsun and goes dere
but Shinnosuke's yelling was really hurting my ears I wasn't sure to laugh or cry
but at times it was really funny how'd he just storm off yelling stuff and going baka-baka.πŸ˜‚
Shinnosuke gets forced to dress up as a maid and his brother is not helping him get away
from the fact all the girls think he is adorable and start taking pics of him.πŸ˜…πŸ˜…πŸ˜…
Uh so... I accidentally got the Lase&Euc end first which was a pleasant  surprise!
Lase&Euc end: They got separated so Shinnosuke rushed back to try and find his bro
Shoutaro whom shows up after he left and  kept her company. Sadly Lapis ends up
as their personal maid after failing her mission. errr how am I supposed
to choose between these two??? why not both, life's good.
Back on track, Lapis chooses to accompany Shinnosuke and they find his bro staring at the sea
then he goes on a rant how he's supposed to be the one to protect him and was really worried.
Anyway Shinnosuke has actually been a very VERY good younger brother
cuz Shoutaro hasn't had it easy. Lapis sees it and can't help but pat him even tho
he doesn't like being treated like a kid, Shinnosuke can be quite manly.
Shoutaro is dealing wiht some shady man and just as he was about to do something
Lapis stepped in to try to stop him. Apaprently this guy is like some loan shark
and Shoutaro is doing his best to convince him to leave the school alone.
Sometime later Lapis ended up kabedon'ing Koko which forced him to be honest
with his feelings and its not like I don't like you or anything in fact I like you! >////<
Later Lapis ends up in a maid outfit for the festival and Koko thinks it suits her and they just smooch.
Waaa~ so many cute scenes its hard to pick a cg tbh...
There is still the matter of Shoutaro and Shinnosuke's desire to protect his older bro
but Shoutaro wants Lapis to take care of him and away from the bad man while he works hard.
He made it absolutely clear that man is not nice, he really wants his little bro away from him.
Best end: Lapis does her best but Shinnosuke can't be fully happy if his brother isn't around
so she tries to get him to think of his own happiness but its like hard for him to get it yet.
Thankfully a talk with Shoutaro helped a lot more, his bro basically explained that
meeting Lapis has been a good thing for Shinnosuke. As she made him see
that the world does not revolve around his older bro. Shinnosuke promises to grow even more.
Some time passes and he grows up, he ended up waiting at a spot he was sure to meet Lapis!
Dependant end: Lapis gathered too many gems and Shinnosuke grew too attached to her and gets
a little possessive cuz he already sorta lost his brother so he doesn't want her to leave too it was
actually kind of sad to see him like that, Koko wasn't as bad as Shiki but he got very clingy.
Bad end: Koko threw a hissy fit and refuses to see eye to eye with his brother...
and just runs off when he doesn't agree he should try to be independent from him.
Lapis also fails her mission and returned home... what a sad day.
Rival end: Honestly I wasn't sure what to expect here at all! Lapis ends up hanging
around a little bit more with Shoutaro whom in her eyes looks like a kind and gentle young man.
Shoutaro doesn't agree completely and that he is more of the opposite.
Shoutaro knows she and Koko are a thing right now so he'll quietly cheer them on...
like in the bad end Koko ends up throwing a hissy fit and refuses to see eye to eye
he also figures Lapis will disappear soon due to being a transfer student.
At the end of the day only Shoutaro understands and says she did nothing wrong.
He takes the blame but also says she and Koko will definitely make up but then Lapis
gets a text which isn't good. Everything is over for her and Shoutaro lets her cry in his arms.
How did this route go from ugh he's so annoying to... he's so adorable! the absolute
goodest boy, let me love you? sigh... I swear its just cuz of the tsun... dere.
The romance was maybe a bit too sweet for me... but I liked the cute scenes they had.😊
In terms of plot... uhm there wasn't much and I think most of it will be told in the next route!
I will admit the brocon can probably kill this route for some people...
the rival end felt more like a sad end to me though.
~

Mibu Shoutaro.
(Apparently its spelled Soutaro but I am a clown and keep adding an h)
CV: Nishiyama Koutaro.
A doctor, he also ended up being the school nurse. He appears to be kind and gentle
and often takes naps in the nurse office. Shoutaro being so refined in contrast to his
bratty younger brother was a nice change of pace! Sho also prefers wearing
traditional japanese clothing (Wafuku). From Shinnosuke's route it was
obvious he has some sort of thing going on that he absolutely doesn't want
his younger bro to be involved in! Tea ceremonies? its just complicated adult stuff.
Shoutaro's route was quite relaxing? I enjoyed the amusement part date.
Its fun untill... yes untill he asked her if she won't runaway or something
uhm why should she? later Lase&Euc examined  Shoutaro's gems Lapis brought back
but it seems to be different from others seem to be void of emotion... its not normal
and if there was any it seems to quickly disappear. This is kinda sus if you ask me.
Lapis saw him asleep again in the nurse office and went to lie down next to him... after he who
Shou said he liked it when he saw her face when she woke up, that it would make mornings fun.
Lapis remembers Koko's words of how it seems like his brother could just disappear
any moment and brings it up to him and then he reveals they have different mom's
and that Sho's mom died from an illness when he was young. Shou really
does want the best for his little brother though. Stupid older man was back too
but that doesn't stop them from prepping the school festival. Shou even
decides its for the best Koko will be a maid and Lapis can't help but agree!πŸ˜‚
Best end: Lapis promises to stay with him for as long as possible, during a walk Shou suddenly
gets really tired and they go rest at her place. Lapis waits for him to wake up.
Which he does and he's glad she stayed as he could feel her presence the entire time.
This lead to a steamy scene... 😊 Sadly Shoutaro got worse later that night again
and promptly collapses. Coco didn't pick up his phone but thankfully Jasper is ready and able!
because he is simply one hell of a butler. Lase&Euc come to examine Shou and they say
he is suffering from an illness and has to be taken to an hospital to get surgery or he won't survive.
Coco came to the hospital as well but he is angry that his bro didn't tell him or anyone really
so that he could have this surgery much sooner. Lapis goes home and Coco gave her a call
to let her know the surgery worked. They end up meeting at his usual spot when he
was well enough, Lapis can't help but embrace him. Shou apologizes for making her worry.
He says its thanks to the magic she cast on him, sadly he says if she wasn't with him
he didn't mind disappearing but cuz she was here he didn't give up. Its because he loves her
and now he'll stay with her for as long as possible. They made out too much in the ending
I wanted to scream for them to get a room even tho they had a room to themselves.
Dependent end: Too many gems,  Lapis stays at his bedside till he wakes up from his surgery
he apologizes and it seems he didn't disappears. However for some reason he cannot remember
who his younger brother is. Seems he has selective amnesia but Lapis doesn't understand.
Lapis ends up having to stay by his side cuz he is wheelchair bound...
Bad end: They find out Shou has an illness but Lapis is forced to return home, she needs
some time so she takes a walk through the town while she looks back at the time spend with him.
Rival end: Lapis hangs out a bit more with Koko while she continues to obtain gems from Sho...
however as the route progresses and he ends up resting at Lapis's place something weird happens!
Cuz Lapis went out for a minute, Shou slowly disappears Lase&Euc can't do anything at this point
nor do they understand what happened. Where did he disappear to? Lapis rushes to his home
but no one knows him. Koko finds her there and wonders what's up.
Then she remembers him saying, if I can see your face the first thing in the morning
then it'll be okay... but since she didn't stay with him its like the magic spell broke.
All Lapis has now is Koko who let's her cry on his shoulder and tries to support her.
Wew... what a heavy route this was? I don't really like teachers/student trope but
this one was handled pretty well. I thought the romance was cute! the only ending I like
was the best one, the dependent one is variation of the best end and kinda sad one at that.
IDK about the rival end... it just felt a bit weird this time. Sure Lapis ends up with Koko...
but maaaaan this whole thing is just too sad.😭😭😭 Also at times I thought, this Shoutaro
isn't gonna be weird or anything right? well rest assured that Shoutaro remained
the same gentle soul we saw at the beginning its just... what is up with the plot?
In terms of story it might be the best route yet! it also didn't fail on delivering cute romance.
At the end of the day these two brothers don't really do much for me aside
Koko being such a dork. I honestly thought while Shou was sweet
he also was pretty weird and cannot understand him at all.
Looking back at this I apparently couldn't decide on how to spell koko/coco either... πŸ˜…
~

Vol. 3
This volume stars a rival magician and an idol!
what could go wrong here?

Shell Celestite.
CV: Suzuki Yuuto.
Shell mostly acts as Lapis's rival and is from a noble family, he is also Jasper's cousin.
Right from the start Lapis used gentle persuasion to get Shell to work with her.πŸ˜‚
There's no gem collecting with him but he tries to help Lapis with her mission
which let to some rather cute scenes! or more like Shell is the one doing the poking.
Shell is a bit of a tsundere but less bratty than Koko and at times I find Shell absolutely adorable.
While Shell can be a little overprotective the way he showed it was really cute! I liked how
in the crepe scene... Shell licked cream off her face and still managed to get embarrassed.πŸ˜…
Too bad Chalcedny found out and almost had a meltdown... what if it left a hickey?
oh no my sister has finally stepped into the adult world.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
.............Shell accidently bumps into her and gropes her boob when she was trying
out some cute clothes. Oh boy this man sure is BOLD for touching em titties.
Okay he didn't realize where he was touching so all is forgiven.
The artist truly does amazing work on the cg's, not only gorgeous the angles are good.
They kind of realize Ruu is pretty suspicious, Shell slowly kind of realizes his feelings too.
Lapis ended up lost from Shell at an amusement park date so she went back home
cue Chalcedney freaking out and Shell rushing back in like girl where were you?
Leading to them getting a moment alone where he basically motorboards her
to like try put a spell on her. Eventually Chal says its byebye time and literally Jasper had to
keep him in check the entire time Shell was still there. That whole scene was hilarious.πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
Lapis also realized her feelings for Shell by now and can't imagine being apart for too long. xD
Best end: Ruu will do some special live during the festival and he just sneaks up on Lapis
and suddenly says he might kill her????? uhm never trust a KimuRyo character I guess???
Thankfully Shell got there just in time but like uhm I guess they were suspecting him
for something but this is coming out of nowhere like uhm hi.
Shell figures out who he is and he's some prince from some neighbouring kingdom
that is called loincloth (nice naming sense there huh?) and trying to use Lapis
to potentially get some gems. Ruu wants to fight so he transports them to some boundary space
so they won't ruin the school.πŸ˜… The battle was pretty epic but Shell managed
to win the day and get the girl too. Chalcedny is happy he protected his sister too.
I guess he has finally accepted him? Shell says that she'll be okay now and they'll enjoy
their remaining school days! All's well that ends well? he says it is not for her sake
but for his so that he can be with her and the clumsily tries to confess his love to go out
with Lapis for real and not for the research/exam thing. Ugh that was so cute!
Dependent end: During the battle with Ruu, Shell just barely managed to beat him
but he's glad he managed to protect her. Lapis had a dream where Shell ended up confessing
and she wants to see him so much but is unable to so she drinks something so she ends up
having that dream again? Meanwhile someone is telling her to wake up. Not sure if
understood it correctly but I don't think Lapis was waking up...😭
Bad end: Ruu just ends up using her for whatever the hell his country wants?
Shell wasn't there to save her so idk at worst he could kill her.
Rival end: Lapis ends up hanging out with Ruu at times... he kinda catched feelings
due to that so it ends up being a variation of the above bad end where he was pissed
at her treating him a little coldly so he ended up sneaking into her room to tell her
how much he loves her now simply using her for his gain isn't enough
he wants her to love him too and that tomorrow they'll be enemies.😱 Next day Ruu is nice enough
to give her a chance in their fateful meeting... cuz he'll be good to her if she does.
Shell tried to stop him but to Ruu it no longer about the gems he's interested in her too.
So he threatens him cuz he figures Shell likes her too before Ruu NTR's Lapis
whom has been totally enchanted by Ruu's magic spell.😱😱😱
Its back baby! Lapis gets thrown into a cage and sure to be loved by Ruu~~.πŸ˜‚
Honestly this was easily my fav route after Mitsuki, even if the situation was kind of
reversed where Lapis wasn't the one doing the poking but instead the love interest!
which kind of worked due to him being her rival... it was interesting to see them break the mold
a little! sadly Lapis kind of became more of a damsel in distress compared to other routes
but idk Shell was such a cutie-pie and respectful so I didn't even mind him being the leading man.
The only bad part about this route is having to end it with the rival end with Ruu
but hmm atleast I can end up with Shell again when I get to the other rival end, right?
Honestly I may be all like LMAO the cage is BACK!!! but i'm pretty horrified cuz this
Ruu guy just literally one upped Shiki with his cabin of love which he can keep tbh. 😱
~

Tsukiishi Ruu.
CV: Kimura Ryohei.
He really went and did this you dropped this queen.πŸ˜…
An idol... suffice to say he has some fans because of his work (he's good at making girls scream).
Being a KimuRyo character and all I found him to be kinda sus tbh and the previous route
proved me to be right on the money! I didn't exactly look forward to it though after being caged.πŸ’€
Being an idol he hopes Lapis can cheer him on and he seems to be extra with her its almost as if
Ruu could be the perfect boyfriend! sadly I know a little better and watching him like a hawk.
I actually liked how he admitted to starting to like Lapis and being scared for that feeling
that made me think he seemed like an okay guy to me... I mean he was so sweet and gentle!
but uh yea about that... well you know the fact he's a prince from another kingdom
and that cat got out of the bag pretty quickly. Also apparently Jasper was a spy too.
Jasper was on the scene quickly but when they tried to fight Ruu collapsed pretty quickly...
by now Lapis had kind of fallen for Ruu too so they try to take care of him
and they sealed his magic so he can't do anything funny.
Eventually he lets out that he is doing it all for his brother, he's trying to
figure out the secret of the gems to maybe cure his bro's illness.
Apparently Ruu's voice isn't even his own and he borrowed it from his brother????
Till he knows he won't be able to go back. Ruu got a bit hostage but when asked if he wants
something to eat he'd like cabbage rolls... with cheese. He said like a spoiled kid.
Lapis wants to help Ruu with his problems and even ended up creating gems
by being lovey dovey with him. But still he ended up like a spoiled-brat...
while at the same time teasing her for creating such a love-coloured gem.πŸ˜…
I applaud Lapis for being capable to deal with his shit cuz I wouldn't.
Ruu says he casted a spell on her and that is why she likes him and that it isn't real...
he can do so with his voice and that is basically why his fans love him.
Eventually the magic will fade so he's just upset and throws a hissy fit
and tries to use Lapis as a shield when Jasper dropped by. Threatening
Jasper to return his magic to him. Jasper complies... and Ruu runs away.
Lapis tries to find Ruu by going to his apartment after she wakes like a fool...
she only finds the bottle with gems and as the rushes off again Jasper finds her
who says he's probably not even welcome back in his homeland.
Lapis is worried of what'll happen if he goes back so she goes to Ruu's starting point aka the stage.
Ruu says that his brother banished him here and if he goes back he'll get killed.
Ruu basically tried to fill up a bottle of his own with gems by singing, getting fans
which worked but they were small and all colourless. Getting back to the point
that he thinks his fans love is all fake and his voice is no good. Lapis tries to tell him
that is not true and shows him the gem she made earlier with him. Ruu wants to try
to do that one more time. Ruu starts laughing when it appears then says he really loves her
which at this point is reciprocated. Ruu wants to stay together. They go home afterwards
and when Lapis wakes up Ruu is right next to her, appalled she askes why're you here?πŸ˜‚
Ruu gets weirdly clingy and Lapis an absolute tsundere in comparison.
Jasper contacted Chalcedny and has taken care of some things like a true butler would...
Ruu won't cause any more problems but he is called back by some soldiers.
He tells Lapis not to worry and to trust each other more before going off.
Big bro Chalcedny just arrived too and he understands the situation but he is kind of wary...
So Ruu has Jasper put the magic spell on him so then he can't do anything at all!
Chalcedny wants to be absolutely sure there's no issues but it'll take some time if they do that.
Ruu tries to come back through a portal and asks Lapis to save him (during this moment my switch started getting all slow and suddenly the app crashed maybe a bug or my switch is getting old.)
Ruu got back with some key which Lapis uses to fix him so they can get hitched
due to the bug I may have missed some dialogue that was eaten by the portal of lag
that he used to get back here. Anyway why is this guy the only one with a wedding end?!😠
Dependent end: Ruu loses it and tries to get Lapis to come back with him to his country...
he already killed some people who were in the way. Yikes now he's a yandere? no thanks.
Lapis blames herself and goes along with it, he ended up killing more people there.
Ruu just wants to do a good job for her sake. The CG was spicy...
Bad end: Lapis ends up staying at Ruu's place after they go back together instead of her own home
then she finds traces of blood and Ruu is missing. She goes back home and Jasper informs her
that he was taken back, she can't believe that he could be death cuz he's like a criminal there.
Then she jumps off the balcony hoping to meet him again wherever he is.
Rival end: Lapis spends some time with Shell who kind of figures she has taken a liking
to Ruu and really tries to get her to  give up on him since he believes he's no good(no shit).
Shell tries to understand the situation so when he saw her sad after Ruu escaped he can't forgive
that cuz he likes her and confesses his feelings, asks her to rely on him more which she does.
They go back home and Ruu has been taken in by authorities, Shell tries to be there
for Lapis and reassure her cuz it is all too much for her. They end up dating.
Chalcedny end: He has a mini ending as well like the twins&Hauyne. Are you not as
overjoyed as he is? don't you want to jump into his arms? onii-chan is waiting!
Chal gets a message about Jasper how he went off on his own to do something...
they can't find him any where, Chal tells Lapis to stay put till there is news but she wanted
to do something and he got mad. But he understands so he will go with her instead.
Onii-chan will be forever at her side and be a doting brother while they travel... 😨
Wew that was a route? honestly I don't like Ruu all that much but atleast I could sorta
understand him and feel some pity? so I guess the writers were convincing enough
to the point I would prefer Ruu over Shiki. The dependant end is there if that's your kink.
Chalcedny's end was cute but lacked substance and too open ended.
The rival end was good and if you don't like Ruu at all it is a nice escape route/end.

Switch port exclusive route!

Jasper Beryl.
CV: Umehara Yuuichiro.
Lapis's personal butler! why wouldn't you want to romance him? I sure thought he was nice.
This route begins with a turbo lore dump and it seems the writers intention
was to use the lore/setting more and flesh it out with this route as well as his character.
Due to this I didn't write too much about it and only some things...
I'm sure you had some questions about this guy from the other routes!  Anyway Jasper ends up
helping Lapis out with her work and wouldn't mind going on a date or two as practice.
He literally ends up guiding her through all the steps cuz he is simply one hell of a butler.😳
Lapis does end up being a little bit embarrassed by being courted so... directly.
They also turn it into a truth route... which is kind of unfair if you played this circa 2018
aka when this route didn't exist yet and maybe you wanted to romance the butler!
sadly the first half of the route was spent mostly with other chara's, not to say there
were no moments with Jasper but you get the point, he really did guide her along.
Jasper also seems to know more than he let on? hmmm... but it was interesting
seeing a more story focused route! Jasper is very serious about protecting Lapis like even
a simple joke from Ruu about him stealing Lapis was met with him raising his voice.
Jasper&Lapis got Ruu to work uh change sides... do not underestimate this butler!
Even Shell is jealous of Lapis spending most of the time with Jasper.......... cute.
One of the scenes I liked was Jasper giving Lapis a kiss when she was asleep...
and then acting all like that was nothing don't mention it, goodnight.
The route felt like it kind of dragged but atleast there was a cute scene where Jasper
rests on her lap and gets patted, at first he's like no don't and then fell asleep. Aww.
The route picked up for me when a woman who was looking for her younger brother...
who looked surprisingly like someone Lapis knows. A story comes to light about a woman
named Lucille which directly relates to Lapis past as well as Jasper.
Lapis and Jasper reminiscence about the past, he kept a diary too. We already know he was
once a spy but not about Lucille or that Lapis used to have a different last name...
Later on a starry night Lapis wants to confess her feelings for him but he says now
is not the time and to wait a little longer.
There's some guys coming for Ruu and Jasper proposes to go back to take care of it
so Lapis who firmly disagrees at first ends up hiding witha Ruu in the stage area where he performs.
Jasper ends up asking Shell for help who scolds him for getting Lapis into trouble too.πŸ˜…
Jasper had a pretty tragic past, he had to hide the truth about Lucille who is Lapis birth mother
and all her secrets and being a spy... one can say he likes to live dangerously!
he considered himself already dead once but he is now afraid to not be able to see her in fact that's
his one fear. So he ends up confessing how he feelsand he loves her more
than anyone right now. But together they'll face what's to come!
Unfortunately, Lapis finds herself waking up back home and learns he has sended her back
because of the threat of a portal of the underworld appearing in the human world.
Hauyne explains there was very little they could do to help as Jasper
is faced with a trial for being a spy which he is guilty for to a fault... but then Ruu
comes walking in to defend him which worked. Wow getting him on hour side back then
paid off very well did it not? Chalcedny tried to ruin a moment between Lapis and Jasper
after the trial was over... like he can't accept seeing them together ''its too early for love''
or ''unforgivable'' even days later he was still at it. Poor Hauyne having to hold him back.
Jasper reveals he can no longer be her butler and will be leaving Valiant
but he'll definitely return when the time is right. At that time they had
a lovely cup of tea Lapis had become better at making it.
Lapis also fully accepts her past and last name sunstone/sandstone? idk official translation where?

Brother's end: Jasper got caught earlier than expected... which leads to them being in an awkward situation but Hauyne tells Lapis that hey! you're alive and the present is waiting.
To them Lapis is still part of the family she grew up with, not with the name she was born with.
For some reason Lase and Euc bicker who is the better brother, then they all and have a picnick?
There were also two bad ends but I don't feel like bothering to write about it.
I don't think this route was bad... it did a good job of giving Jasper more depth
as well as iron out some lore about the world. This was absolutely necessary
cuz I think ending it with just vol.3 might really make it seem as unfinished/half-baked.
Still I do think this route was a thirst trap for everyone that wanted the butler cuz never
did I expect it to be a lore dump as well as trying to make some sort of true ending.
Jasper had no rival end and has only 8 cg's(not counting variation) compared to everyone else
having 11 but then again he is a new addition, so I am able to let that slide!
The brothers ending was also very good because it showed family you grew up with
is more important than your biological ones who weren't even around(for whatever reason).

 Fav route:
Shell > Mitsuki > Koko >Jasper > Shoutaro > Ruu > Shiki.
Shell and Mitsuki are my fav's! the rest kinda follows! I like Ruu more than Shiki
but that is more or less cuz of pity and I just feel less for Shiki. I do have a feeling
those that tend to love yandere will absolutely love those two so whatever floats yer boat!

Fav character:
Shell > Mitsuki > Jasper > Koko > Shoutaro > Lase&Euc > Hauyne > Chal > Ruu > Brickwall: > Shiki.

Final Thoughts!
I thought this otome game was damn fine, and actually respects the readers time and doesn't
go on for longer than needed while still delivering the stuff we enjoy these games for.
Great art & seiyuu's are always nice and for this game its definitely a selling point
but tbh what was worth the most was the setting+the romance.
The only really silly thing I found was the way they called certain countries in the other world.πŸ˜‚
Its perfect if you're in the mood for something short but sweet with many
heartwarming moments that doesn't get too dark! in terms of plot however I think
it is on the weak side  though I'll say the world/lore was interesting, it s storyoverall just wasn't
anything to write home about. I guess its either plot > romance or romance > plot in this genre huh?
oh well! depending what you want this game could definitely be enjoyable.
Best ends can be cheesy, normal end can be a little sad... rival ends are dicey.
My favorite rival end was definitely in Shiki's route with Mitsuki. Mitsuki is such an angel!
They did a good job of making sure whatever choice the player makes affects the outcome!
This game is no exception  in making every route relevant or going into things in great detail
sometimes it is what it is whether it is happy or a little sad, they also don't shy away
from yanderes of which there were 2. Be warned even if it can be mostly heartwarming
there are still some landmines, I think it is handled in a good way as they don't over do it
or overstay its welcome. There didn't appear to be many plot holes and I enjoyed the contrast
between the characters of their respective volumes. Characters grew were they could but not
every love interests could be for everyone, honestly it never really is isn't it?
The voice cast was excellent, the art was gorgeous and the music was fine so there's that!
If you're a Kaji Yuuki fan and don't mind his char having issues or one of your fav
seiyuus is in this game I do very much recommend it! The only seiyuu in this game
I wasn't too familiar with was Nishiyama Koutaro. The rest were all old school favs!πŸ’•
The only downside I believe is that it is rather short, routes averaging around 4-6 hours
but like I said if you want something that respects your time while still delivering cute romance
with various outcomes for the routes then I think it should be alright in what the content offered.
I personally don't like it when games drag on... or that there are no bad ends and everything
feels so rail-roaded. So MajeMajo despite being short definitely was worth it for me.

This game could definitely be disappointing if you expect too much of the plot
but romance wise and the art+voice acting? it gets straight A's from me m8.
I also appreciate the Jasper route cuz the writer definitely tried to flesh it all out!
The only thing I am saddened with is how little presence Mitsuki or some of the
other guys have over guys like Ruu&Shell its really obvious how little impact
some of the love interest had if you don't romance them directly but many VN
tend to have this problem that some chara's just don't have much to do with
the real plot so it really should not be a big deal, just romance who you want
sometimes your best boi just happens to be less involved!.

I hope this game gets picked up for localization, but let's be real ya'll can't
complain no otome games are coming over as of late! hopefully this one can join too
as it is pretty well rounded(thanks to Jasper route*) with some bittersweet romance.

There aren't that many new otome games I am interested in atm...
I know otomate is doing another princess and a bunch of knights take
but for now it is time for a break from the genre.
