Release date: 23-04-2026
I was a bit surprised when the FD was announced so soon after the release of the OG
but it seems they took their time and from the looks of it there was no artist change.
Otomate decided to right their wrongs and do Fey justice with this game or so it appears.
Most of the after stories are very light-hearted and not nearly as dark as the OG was
there might be happiness even in bad endings, which might not be for everyone.
Disclaimer: This is purely my own opinion and it could be different from yours
this is not meant to be some kind of all-truth, just an opinion that came from playing this.
If you don't like what you're reading then close the tab, move on and just idk play it yourself.
Pro's
- After stories for all LI's are neither too short nor overly long.
- Light in tone and less dark than the original game.
- Art( and music) is consistent to that of the original game.
- Fey may be 20% part of this FD but he got his happiness.
Grey area
- Afterstories are locked behind shorter present/past chapters.
- Story for afters feels weaker but Gyokusui & Fey gaiden compensate for this.
Con's
- Menus/UI is literally the worst thing about this FD but I'll take the L here.
Matsurika FD is packed with content featuring the usual after stories
and stories from the LI's POV as well as a peek at their childhoods.
It took me maybe 6-7 hours to view all of a single LI's content now multiply that
to 6 LI's and you got 40 hours of content, including the two new routes
for Fey and Gyokusui it took me around 60 hours to finish the game.
That is more than an acceptable length for a FD.
The art was as gorgeous as always, it seemed the original artist did work on it
and most CG's looked the best they could be.
Music; I don't think there were a lot of new tracks but both OP and ED were nice to listen to.
Except that one desert theme, idk why but after this FD I have beef with it.
---
System
Some stuff along the timeline also seemed to be locked but basically
its a bunch of shorter stories set when the LI was a kid as well as
some scenes during the original game, kinda like a directors cut.
I always went from right to left and went back to something if it was locked.
The longer stories tended to be the best and good afters.
As for bad afters; it depends on the character how long they are
and I thought Zebenera was longer than say Karma's.
I was a bit mixed about locking the after stories behind the shorter scenes
however after seeing Karma's best after it does make sense for it to work this way.
---
I generally had a good time although much like KgK FD which it reminded me
slightly of, it varied whether a shorter scenario was interesting.
I mostly looked forward to the after stories but due to the timeline they wanted us to look at
other aspects first; revisiting some parts of the LI's story and give further depth.
Thankfully nothing really overstayed its welcome and it was pretty on point.
If you prefer to dive right into the after stories its difficult to recommend this FD
since it doesn't seem to allow you, some chapters were locked which I unlocked
by doing whatever else was available. Generally going from right to left(past to future).
There's a lot of emphasis on the LI's past and his POV of the events of the OG's route.
Gyokusui's route is akin to any route in the OG, its a bit softer than Ruwo, with more grace.
---
The best ends for most LI's in the OG sans Fey already had satisfying conclusions.
So when I look at Ruwo's after you can really see how they both have grown after
everything that happened. I am not particularly big on Ruwo btw but I can see that much.
Same goes for Bicorn but doing all of his content made me appreciate him more again.

| Shout out to this king who pulls his weight when its not even his route. |
However it may have one problem, like making everything too happy and remove
weight some of the original bad ends had carried, for some it good others I was mixed.
It pretty much gave some routes its finishing touches, even for things I thought wasn't necessary.
Its a FD that focuses on happiness without it derailing into subchara drama.
Afters were all about LI and heroine themselves, i'm actually kinda glad there weren't
that many new side characters and if they were its for the new route.😄
Some additions to the story were good so I wouldn't say it had no depth at all.
Gyokusui's route is on par with how routes were like in the OG so if you want a plot, go here!
I jokingly said to myself: Is this FD where the fanservice ended up?😅 since some recent
otome seem to do the bare minimum for romantic scenes and are quite plot focused.
I found myself satisfied with afters for LI'[s that I didn't even like that much
as well as cheering on LI's when it wasn't even their after. Cough Enrai Cough.
Fey's gaiden is okay as a true end and has a satisfying conclusion, it hit notes
but it also missed a few due a lot of things that felt too familiar.
I think its worth it if you want more Matsurika in your life but if you prefer
darker plot lines it might be disappointing since the FD was rather sweet.
There are moments that could be a lil heavier but not much. Its a great FD if you want to see more happiness rather than sad stuff.
---
TL;DR
I recommend this FD to those who want mostly light afters or see different perspectives
rather than the couple being thrown in yet another mess, small blessings.
The game already delivers one hell of a plot centered on the new LI
and Fey's gaiden is worth it if you thought the OG was unforgivable.
9.3/10
Anyway I think it would be a shame if Matsurika no Kei and its FD is never translated
its really not any worse than Olympia Soiree but I understand its themes are rough and its
not a beginner friendly otome game. Its also huge and would need care with its translation.
Its not the type of otome for people who are sensitive to contents. So yea if it happens
it happpen but it may be unlikely to cross the seas.
My play order:
Ruwo > Zebenera > Karma > Seirin > Enrai >Fey/Fuuen > Gyokusui > Fey gaiden.
Same order I played the original in with the new stuff last and I think this order is mostly fine.
I kinda regret doing gaiden last but it can be done anytime, it can actas a refresher and a true end for Fey at the same time.
Spoilers after the jump, mostly just senile ramblings about the routes
and sharing some of my fav CG's.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ruwo.
CV: Yamashita Seichirou.
at some time in the past and those stories elaborated on that which was nice.
Ruwo was cute as a kid too bad he grew up and uh shit happened...
I liked the added perspective but it was also a bit heartbreaking to see Ruwo
without his memories but also being like wait I can read this?! its not that farfetched
because he was traumatized before he was picked up and raised by pirates.
Most of the present chapters that took place during the route of the OGweren't very interesting at most it added an additional moment.
Hearing Ruwo say he regretted doing what he did does redeem him for me.
Like I remember the time they rested next to eachother in the desert just not the
closeup of Ruwo or did I forget. Needless to say that was a nice moment.
They actually provided more content for the bad ending where
Naaya ends up as a prostitute.💀💀💀
There's actually two outcomes here and for 1 Kien did ask her if she wanted
revenge on Ruwo and you can choose there, needless to say it was interesting.
He actually did came back... unfortunately he's no longer the same and she ends up stabbing him.
He's a bit too far gone and actually enjoys it cuz he's the first to see this face.
Ruwo was butthurt so he decided he wanted to see whatever faces he had yet to see
which uh lead to his doom. The other outcome has Naaya try to rebel against Kien
which just makes it worse and doesn't change anything. Okay whatever!
Thankful they had to pull the plug on it because it was turning into a Kien route, no thanks.
I would say I was looking forward to the good end where Ruwo was a pirate king
ah yes that's much better! but mayhaps its not such a good outcome afterall
since while Ruwo is willing to get Naaya nearly anything she wants he is also
rather uhm possessive of her, he even kills his own men if they're nice to her. 💀
There's two outcomes here and both are kinda bad but one is softer, needless to say
Ruwo's menhera could've been in a better place but as long as we don't rebel its gucchi.😌
Their ship gets attacked and when Ruwo's out dealing with pirates one snucks into
their ship, Naaya ends up killing him. Ruwo decides they should both just runaway
to an island they recently visited since he doesn't want this life of killing anymore.
The content for the best end was good and it felt like a proper after story
with it adding the finishing touches, while things are going peachy Enrai
shows up and asks for Naaya to come back with him to take part in a ceremony.
Karma turns back into a human and Naaya loses her keigan status.
Enrai insisted this was necessary and this essentially wraps up a bunch of plot
in the background so it won't be a problem in the future as it settles the keisei stuff
as well as the ku clan's duty, sigh why is Enrai best boy?! this is why!!!
Enrai the chad made sure Seirin became the next king. The couple enjoy
the festivities but they had no idea what transpired, LMAO.
They end up on an expedition to the Logan Empire for some honey
this changes the whole setting to a european country.
Sadly they still remember shit his parents did so it wasn't easy. Naaya was surprisingly
proactive and tried to help out in her own way. They finally got some time after
things were going well, ngl the CG drought was real but it was a nice reward.
Also the ending made me laugh a little... they became a family and the CG
showed their children, something a certain other sequel struggled to show.
The final CG was unlocked by examining the vase; its from a mode where you
can view a few events by examining objects in a room. it was a funny scene
of Ruwo coming home late drunk and being stupid.
7.5/10
Needless to say they really gave Ruwo's best end the finishing touches. I don't really
have many complaints but knowing certain stuff about him and his fears of losing
what he has because of his past was emotional. My favorite outfit for Naaya
would be the one from the good end! the hairstyle just completely seals it for me
even if everything else about that ending wasn't my cup of tea.
Not that her look in the best end is bad or anything I just like it a little less.
Ruwo's not even my fav LI and it had some draggy parts but I was satisfied by his after story.
He's definitely a trashbando... but one of those who manages to redeem himself fully.
~
Zebenera.
CV: Hatano Wataru.
who at the time was pregnant of her, his dad was also there.
They ended up bring Naaya to Matsurika village so she could have a better life.
Yay we got to see Naaya's mom! and Zebe's dad. That's who he got his ungabunga looks from.
Wait... hold up no nevermind i'm not going to think about this.💀
Most of Zebe's childhood was about him becoming the next leader
and kinda liked seeing him come of age slowly. It really depends on the character
whether or not these are actually interesting to me. Awww yea ungabunga caveman.😆
They even showed him fighting a snow leopard. I didn't even expected it to have a sprite.
TL;DR mountain life is rough.
Most of the scenes from Zebe's POV also made him a lot sweeter, we already knew
he was soft and not as ungabunga as he looks but he's a real peach.
Oh nevermind this new detailed scene of when they banged, that apparently happened :eyes:
I had to lower the volume because Zebe's voice was just too much... at the moment.
GIVE HATANO WATARU A RAISE. WEW LAD~~ pegi18.
The after for the migrating end was mostly good, I didn't get creeper vibes like with pirate king
Ruwo but there was a pattern, Zebenera was just a bit better at expressing his worries here.😌
They basically built their own wolf imperium since they got rich by finding gold in the desert
and well some guys didn't like that so they attacked the mines. They got some scorpions
but Zebe reassures everyone there's nothing to fear. Ruwo still backs them up,
like he's some friendly neighborhood merchant. They reach out to the king of gekka
who is none other than Seirin, thus a bond between the dragon and wolves was formed.
(Seirin being king here as well likely is Enrai's work... ISTG he knows how to lift.)
When they get back shit hit the fan, Naaya helps to locate the enemy with her farsight.
Seirin helps as well by making a surprise appearance cracking a thunderstorm making it rain
while bringin in reinforcements. Zebe valiantly faces off against a rook in the desert
that the enemy sended after them. To me they look like team rocket using animals
and beasts for evil purposes. No matter they are of no consequence.
They both work to make their people happy, it closes off in bittersweet manner
and it may seem a bit like a fairytale but there is some truth in it.
They also added to the bad ending where Zebe roams the mountain alone like a wolf.
I thought it was fine as is but there might be a little hope in this tragic story.
I liked how Zebe guided some human back even if he had no connection to it.
Due to this the human starts revering him as a mountain god; Heikun.
Eventually he faces off against Youma and even more time passes and he still yearns
for someone he lost but till he finds that he keeps guiding those who're lost.
Eventually a girl similar to Naaya is born which tickles his memory...
she doesn't have heterochromia but she seems really taken by heikun-sama.
Sometime later he finally finds her again... it only took thousands of winters.
Its a bit wishful but I like it, I think this was tragic enough let him have happiness.
Seeing what he wanted all along just... chef's kiss.
The best after has them keep on being mountain hobo's, I didn't have strong feelings for it.
Zebe's still licking his wounds from the battle with Kyuki. He insists everything is fine now.
Bao starts crying but its more for relief since her family was killed by Kyuki.
Everything is mostly going just peachy... they ended up on a trip to the capital
which was both hilarious and adorable at the same time.
The seasons changed and they found an abandoned baby near the spring
so they took him back with them since that is what their clan does, remember Yoh?
They take it in as its a tradition of their clan but the mood got dark quick...
Bao and Yoh got into a fight but it thankfully didn't last long as the latter apologized for
hurting Bao's feelings. Due Zebe and Naaya's relationship this leads to Yoh confessing
his feelings for Bao which he had all this time and they end up married.
LMAO I thought he was more like a brother but... hmm I ship it.
Shaonera ends up climbing into a tree and almost fell, if Naaya hadn't sensed it
due to her ability it would've been too late. Zebenera gets mad but Shaonera says its
because she saw a pretty flower she never saw before. Zebenera says she should
have just told him and instantly forgives her. They all go to view the blossoms
and Zebe tells Naaya he's the happiest he could ever be right now.
The extra CG was a scene where they both got really cozy, on a cold night.
I had the feeling Migration after took longer than Ruwo's good after, it took me multiple sessions
so there was some volume to it. For Zebe I prefer his good end over the best one which might
be nice in its own way but for some reason it just had something that made it feel extra.
International intrigue over gold and wealth will do that...
I also liked it more in terms of narrative, or maybe I am just biased for Zebe.
ALSO How can a tragic end be so sweet? that was a masterpiece.😭😭😭
One thing to note is that Zebenera also narrated a lot of the monologues
all I can say is I hope he was paid well because it added to the experience.
9.3/10
If I had to rank Zebe's afters I favor the migration after over the best after.
For the bad after I am not so sure where to place it, I like how there was happiness amidst tragedy.

Karma.
CV: Nagatsuka Takuma.
Karma's past episodes were pretty decent, I liked seeing a little more of his life
even if it isn't that interesting there were small moments he was happy, this made me smile.
Naaya apparently got lost in the woods once and met little Karma. They were fast friends
but she never knew his name. His POV also explains he does remember they met once.
Karma's past is heartbreaking so some stuff from the very beginning was hard to sit through.
They actually showed how he found the mask he always wore. He thought the skull looked cool.
Hearing him say his actual first words however... I was both happy and sad.
Karma didn't really have a lot of events to show his POV of the OG so before
I knew it I was watching the bad after. You know the one where he keeps Naaya's skull.
Reikyu despairs for a moment since Keisei won't answer her calls for salvation
all while Karma just giggles wondering who someone is. Since he can't remember her name.
Karma's life is still the same as it was and not much changed. Reikyu finds out about him
hugging her skull and realizes what's going on. He passed away peacefully holding
the one he loves, Karma went to a place Reikyu couldn't and was strangely calm about it.
This was a bittersweet way to close the bad end. The variation of the existing CG was nice too.
Up next was the after for the good end, this was where they eloped and tried their best to live.
They don't have much but they have eachother and Karma is learning more things
which he wrote down in a letter to Naaya. Wait this is the best end?! He still speaks
with difficulty and makes weird noises sometimes but that doesn't change anything.💕
Karma does get a bit selfconcious wondering if this is really right... he's growing so much!
Unfortunately... people found out there was a monster living nearby so they had to flee.
They go back to the mountains because where else is safer?
So uhm they run into a wild beast which isn't what it looks like... its name is Goes.
He's quite old and wise, this scenario seems to be entertaining to him as he seems
to think Naaya was like food which Karma immediately denies. 😅
Goes takes them back with him to a place that is hidden away much like Matsurika village.
Its called Seiranchin, a capital village where youma live.
They also gave all the youma creatures their own sprites...
Goes does warn them to be careful since the youma here are not all friendly. Karma sparred with
a youma who explains the strong protect the weak here and now he has to protect Naaya.
Karma leaves for a while and Naaya got worried. When he gets back he gives hera flower, its a keepsake and its the same type of flowerthey made the crowns
with when they were kids. He really wants to get married. Its really cute
how he tries to convey this to Naaya. It took some time but everyone got together
to celebrate it in youma like fashion. Naaya's dress was pretty though.
Okay we back to some events leading up to the best end with Karma's POV
as per usual they're short but I liked most of them. It goes a bit further than
the good end and shows him struggling with his feelings towards Naaya
and how others perceive them. Even realizing he might be a bit childish.
Just when I thought it was too pure they threw the leg massage scene at me, wew.
If not him who could reach there?😉
![]() |
| They both look so natural with the background... |
They helped a lost child find his way in the woods and they promptly disappeared
but the kid believes they were like gods. It seems they're not stuck in animal forms
for good and they were able to regain their old appearances somewhat
if they need to dwell among humans but somethings just aren't the same.
Needless to say they're both living their best lives... I kept wondering
if this is just it for them, surely not right? why did this happen.
One day they spot a landslide and warn the town... but when they do
they get accused of being ghosts or worse youma. The kid tries to defend them
they finally believe them when they return to their animal forms.
Sometime later Karma gets nostalgic so they return home to the mountains.
They ended up finding someone building something nearby... and they end up
finding a shrine which was build by the people they saved. When they enter the shrine
it seems they regained their physical forms for their human appearance.
Karma figures it might be because of the peoples faith in them so they've
sorta become like senkou even if they're not quite like that.
They end up exploring more and they go to a place senkou used to be.
A man with brown long hair ends up sensing something off when he
has new visitors, this man is Gyokusui. He confirms there's a way
for them to turn back but its too early to celebrate.
He also notes they remind him of something which makes him nostalgic.
They're welcome to call upon his aid if they need ever need it again.
Anyway they decide to stay at the shrine since it may be for the best
per doctors orders and everything is mostly just peachy.
They seem to slowly revert back... their hair no longer silver. When visiting the town
they learn about the creatures they used to be... that must've been surreal.
Shoucho ends up explaining more about it and they're welcome to visit her anytime.
They finally spend time together like they used to but their confessions
got a little repetitive to me and it became clear the scenario was at its end.
For some reason Karma gets recognized by some old geezer apparently people
did survive but they don't seem to remember one thing.
The fact that it was because he was a keigan... then Karma asks if he knows what his
name was but its been too long. They're fine calling him what he is called now.
The little creatures are a Shaofashen, probably misspelled, rip bozo.
The old geezers invited them both to their village since its tiny and they could
use a newly wed couple, they try not to rush them which created an awkward situation.
They'll be here till tomorrow but Karma wonders if they can live normally over there.
Naaya's fine going wherever Karma is which is likewise for him.
Karma realizes they're not quite human anymore despite regaining their form
but they're both bottoms and are willing to go wherever the other wants to go
which makes it even more awkward making a decision.
In the end they decided to not go back with them since they already have
a place to return to.They oldgeezer say its okay if they just come to visit too.
Karma will gladly take them up for that one day.
Things return to the way it used to be for them as guardians and continue to fulfill their role.
A bunch of flowers bloomed near their shrine so they make new crowns with them.
Karma then tells her about the time she once gave him a flower crown...
which makes him very nostalgic since he wanted to do it once more ever since.
No that wasn't the end, since after a while they decided to visit that village
and there was a festival at the time which is dedicated to Shaofashen.
Wow that came full circle huh?!
but it was when Karma was still his old self... in the mountains.💀
---
Karma's good after was interesting, albeit a bit juvenile. I am glad they found
some place they could live but I couldn't help but get a little sad. I'd say
its a better end than them getting killed by angry villagers.😓
The bad after wasn't really necessary for me but I will accept it noneheless.
The best after sure is unique and I am sure some people have worries that its
become furry oriented but their relationship is really pure and innocent.
I am grateful for the extension since... I still had questions after the OG
even if its not much some context on their new lives is nice.
I wasn't sure how I felt about his village being wiped out but there were survivors
that carried over some traditions, however this is a common trope and stories
even start with it so it could very well be a handful of people were in the town next over
when all hell broke lose. This isn't bad writing and how was Karma supposed to know that?!

As for his character in general, Karma is interesting he shows growth
which is evident even in the good end but its not as much as the best ending.
I find myself having a soft spot for him after this FD.

~
Seirin.
CV: Tachibana Shinnosuke.
![]() |
| You know handholding like that is really cute you know that right. |
Let me start by saying that Seirin looked so adorable as a child
like he must be protected at all cost, too precious.
Which why Enrai was assigned to him, it was hilarious seeing him deal with lil Seirin.
His life in the palace was very sad but even then he found his happy moments.
I was both happy and sad viewing his past events... the additional scenes
added to the present weren't very interesting but they're small blessings.
I liked the scene where they took care of the bird and the one where they danced together.
I wasn't sure how I felt about Naaya getting embarrassed for enjoying a steam bath
after they've already married but its a first time for everything I suppose.
Starting to realize how difficult it is to implement these scenes in an existing story
and then I wondered why they couldn't have just saved the scenes for the best after.
Still... maybe there was little time for that then so this works better afterall!😌
Its better when I look at it as if its directors cut with additional scenes in the OG.
I viewed the bad after first since it is a really tragic outcome, Seirin ends up
dying during the battle and Naaya survived... Enrai sometimes checks up on her
but Seirin's sacrifice back then affects even him. Right now his mission is trying
to ensure Naaya is happy at least as its the least he can do for his dear friend. The end(for now).
The good after took place after they ate the fruits so Naaya would gain a longer lifespan
so she could be with Seirin. Naaya suddenly wonders if they should leave
then he starts teasing her a bit too much. He's a bit possessive in this ending.
Oh boy... so this is going down THAT road. Well I suppose the scenario made room for it.
Apparently a long time has already passed so he's basically protecting her
since anyone she knew might already be dead anyways. Well that escalated quickly!
Things continue to be just peachy... eventually he apologizes and starts being more honest.
He cares about her enough to bring back her old question of going back to the outside world.
Well of course she wants to check up on everyone so they go back
and it seems most other guardians have left like they said they would.
Its been so long Gekka has fallen into ruin, Seirin wonders if Enrai became king or not.
They go to the palace and find him as an old man holding down the fort by himself...
![]() |
| Literally Enrai. |
Seirin wants to bring Enrai the fruit they ate after hearing what he did.
It really is like some miracle fruit that extends people time or returns it.
Unfortunately it ended up turning him into a shota... whoops.😂😂😂
Enrai seems to have several questions but all is explained to him but eventually
Enrai gets mad he didn't come back to take the throne. Seirin being a dragon
shouldn't have mattered. Which is true and fact checked in the best ending.
Enrai says he'd like to try again, rebuild and make Seirin king who's all like noooo.😂
Keisei still seems to be willing to answer their prayers...
I thought the story started being a bit weird but when Seirin was
reading a book in the garden and he was being a bit... quiet.
Seirin is filled with anxiety over the people wanting him to be the king or not.
He truly does want to be a good king but right now maybe not.
Naaya wants to support him and stand at his side which makes him really happy.
Time passes and rebuilding isn't easy but they're trying and eventually Seirin was crowned king.
Enrai looked really cool and sexy in the CG, wait this is Seirin's good after what am I saying?!
As for the best after; I honestly thought Seirin closed off his route really well
in the OG and I really had no expectations here so I was easily impressed.
It has a few repetitive plot elements though... but I feel they had to be touched upon.
Thing is Naaya is human, Seirin is long lived due to being a dragon
the topic of the fanshenshu aka the fruit was brought up even here.
The other dragons explained the pro's and con's as well as being able to have children. They won't rush them just be mindful of their future. Seirin will accept either decision
Naaya makes whether to live as a human or enjoy a longer life.
Seirin got a fever because he's been constipating himself and just can't
hold it in so they make out when they get back. He came up with a few excuses
because he's a dragon he experiences feelings better but being around her hurts him.
Either way he couldn't help himself smooching her.😥😥😥
Naaya's like its fine, anyway the reason for this is that he could kill her as she is now.
Seirin will try his best to constipate more since it will be a while.
He also acts like such a happy girly whenever Naaya reciprocates
especially when she will have his babies. He's also afraid of losing her.
This guy is so in love with Naaya its getting unbearable to watch like omg.
Naaya has had enough and will eat it. Time passes and she eventually gave birth.
It didn't remain peaceful forever as some war broke out but Seirin
did what's best for his country. Enrai showed up last minuted looking sexy...
like he's never gonna give you up or let you down.
They have a lot of catching up to do and here am I wanting to jump into Enrai's arms.
Its like I am experiencing unlocking his route in the OG all over again.
The battle is decided the next day and they both fight valiantly at eachothers side.
Errr actually Enrai's name is Ishtar right now, after the war they did more catching up
they really missed eachother. The kids end up barging in on them and the girl comments
on Enrai's abs.😂 Eventually Enrai bids them farewell and returns to his own country.
Things return to normal and they finally get some time for eachother again.
Seirin says he was also worried about Enrai all this time then he gets all
nostalgic of how they had that stew way back when the three of them met.
They wrapped Seirin's story nicely and I don't have many complaints.
The bonus CG was a bit hard to find this time but its a really cute one
where Naaya gave Seirin a kiss while he was in his dragon form.
I actually really like this CG, its adorable.
and when he attempted to be mischievous but it worked against him.
As for the good after, well... i'm not sure what I expected or what else they could've
done but it was actually pretty decent! however I found the plot to be a little whacky
and maybe they tried to hard to turn it into something better but I had a good few laughs
along the way. Enrai also really proved himself to be the bestest boy ISTG.
I did find the best after to be a little repetitive but other than that it handled
the problems well enough, they probably didn't have much to work with.
However the difference between good and best right now is that its better to
not be tempted and eat the fruit too soon or else Enrai will suffer holding the fort.
Overall I like Seirin quite a bit and in the OG he had an epic route
however... I don't think there was much more they could even tell.
The afters are fine for what it tried to do.

Enrai.
CV: Horie Shun.
since it showed how he grew up and his relationship with his family.
Let's just say his first impression of Ensui... wasn't that great.😅
Enrai's also very insightful and picked up matters of the court quickly and
when he was old enough, he together with his father visited matsurika village.
Enrai witnessed some stuff performed by Fey's father allowing them to enter.
Suppose this confirms their clans did keep in touch over the years.
There he did encounter a young Naaya and Fey who were just going about their day.
Naaya tried to talk to him but he's not here for pleasantries so he excused himself.
Anyway he had a busy life from dealing with all sorts of things like protecting Seirin
and then eventually Naaya walked into his life again and well you know the rest.
Enrai passing out in the bath, Naaya finding him and fanning him was cute
but other than that there weren't that many interesting perspective scenes.
Some of them just made him more thoughtful or sweeter than before.
Enrai's good after is up first, its the one where they eloped to the country side
and embraced a new life. They end up getting married in their village.
There was no CG when they spended the night but it was still a sweet scene.
Enrai really wanted Naaya to drop the keigo, we're married drop the honorifics for Fuuen's sake.
Enrai's a teacher at the village's school, everything's generally just peachy for now.
I did wonder if something would happen... since it was a bit too peaceful.
The wind was a bit strong that night... and an enormous creature peeked in throw the open doors.
Like I've found you now and you shall not escape.
Hahaha... no Seirin isn't mad in fact he's very happy he found his missing friend.
Since Enrai didn't know yet about his true nature he had to tell him its actually him.
Btw can I come inside? before this rain gets any worse.
While they were separated Seirin was still able to become the next king
but he is still grateful for Enrai for helping him back then.
How did Seirin find him? well actually the swallow birds told him everything.😂😂😂
I actually laughed at this revelation and it makes perfect sense
since Seirin can communicate with birds. They catch up for a little
and Seirin hopes Enrai lives his life to the fullest and is happy.
Enrai also sees that Seirin has grown and that he's a fine ruler.
Seirin did mention something happned a little while ago but then says
the matter has been solved so there's nothing to worry about.
Seirin leaves just as he came, Enrai is still a bit surprised
and their oridinary life in an ordinary village continues.💕
Bad after; I remember this being like a bad version of the best end
its where Naaya ended up blind and the next queen with Enrai at her side.
She is dependant on him and the other servants, what's interesting is that the
whole thing played out from Enrai's POV and Naaya had her own sprite.
Enrai wonders why she doesn't resent him and he blames himself
to the point he wishes someone would punish him or worse.
Enrai seems to come to accept it and finds himself good enough as her servant.
He literally becomes so meek... its painful to watch.
Naaya gets greedy and says he should continue the footporn thingy.
She's literally his reason for still being alive and loves her enough to serve her.
The next day Naaya literally snaps and tells him to stop being so pathetic and kissed him.
Enrai's so off-guard that he falls down and we get a lovely scene. Due to this he regains
some of his lost confidence... although their love becomes a bit twisted.
Alright time for the best after; After lots of twist and turns
Enrai became the next ruler with Naaya at his side.
Seirin says he has no right to be the ruler right now due to Enrai's featsso he returns to being a hetare dragon for the most part.
Things are mostly just peachy till Naaya starts having dreams of Keisei
and the 4 guardians then the next day Keisei explains her origins to her.
He says there's nothing to fear at this point. Enrai's a bit shocked by
what was revealed just now since he didn't know the full story yet.
One day Seirin came to visit to take a break from his dragon duties
but he was also a little bit worried so he's not a complete hetare.
Anyway its seems they're adopting more of sekigekka's traditions
it almost seems like the past has come back to life. Seirin sets them straight
and says this festival should be both for keisei and the people.
Uh they decided to revisit their past too so they donned their old outfits
for a hot minute, Naaya the one when she was working under Enrai.
Some things don't change I guess because Enrai really wants every part of her.
ah... so that's what this is about, no wonder he complimented her so much on her old looks.😐
Enrai realizes he never thought any of this would happen... he thought he'd always be by himself.
Next day Enshui is crying out. Seirin is putting him to work. Enrai walked in on them
and it seems Seirin was yet again caught in the act of his antics.
Sadly it seems the past is really repeating itself as a bunch of people
are planning a coup and who is in on it? Shisei. No surprise there.
Keisei summons them and admires their kindness in tending to the peoples needs
but also warns them, then proceeds to dump more info on them we already know.
He wants them to reconnect with the people in the north so they go and do that.
Enrai and Zebenera had a duel, sadly the ungabunga man doesn't stand a chance
afterwards he swears he will do what he can and makes an oath.
The people behind the coup think they haven't noticed what they're plotting
their next move is a bit of a gamble but its obvious they're making a mistake
since the hounds err wolves were already listening.💀
Enrai gets sappy but he realizes how much stronger he's become
and while he never thought he'd be worthy to be a king he does now.
Naaya's been a pillar of support to him and he loves her ever so much.
Shisei gets arrested for treason because they found out about the coup
so they make an example out of him and put him in on display.
In the end they hold their celebration and Enrai's as confident as ever.
I'm sure Fuuen is cackling somewhere like it should have been me...
wait there may be irony in this, this is actually hilarious.
There's an extra epilogue available if you have completed Seirin's route:
This takes place after Seirin's bad end. Enrai wants Naaya to move on but the problem is
they've been getting along. Its been eight years since that unfortunate day
and he still feels the loss, he arranges something for Naaya but she is furious.
Which makes Enrai angry that she's willing to stay a widow for like forever.
They have a bitch fight and then they make out. As if Enrai did not have
enough kiss CG's they added one more, oh well he's breaking a record here.
Well anyway it seems Seirin's wish came true and Enrai's taking care of her now.
Unfortunately Enrai is constipating himself so hard like you're his wife or rather was so he's
fighting his feelings of what's right and what not. Is it okay if I bang my dead friends wife?💀
Either way eventually Enrai gives in and is like okay don't leave me alone I accept.
I am not sure how I feel about this epilogue but I hope they're happy!
The bonus CG lived up to Enrai's reputation.........
---
Enrai's good after was great even if there wasn't much going on, it was
kinda relaxing you know? it also made me laugh a few times.
Its almost like the perfect after story for me as it had one job and it delivered.
The bad after was miserable but in a FD with so much sweetness
I think its okay for a little bit of different flavor. More bitter.
I'm not sure how I feel about the best after... however it may be fitting in Enrai's case.
This is one of the rare cases where I actually prefer the good over the best!
Also at first I was mixed on the extended epilogue to Seirin's bad end however
its not a bad thing to move on and get with someone else.
Personally my favorite ending for Enrai is the good one, where they eloped, it might
not be exciting but it shows possibilities that doesn't rely on the past. The point of
the best end is that the past doesn't always repeat itself even if you try the same things.
Either way its been 35 hours of play time and its finally time for Fey and Fuuen!
9.3/10
Maybe this is too high... but I didn't hate anything about it and it even made me
think a little. I don't like the best after however if its intended like that then its good.
~
Fey/Fuuen.
CV: Okamoto Nobuhiko.
I also found a new found appreciation for Fey's route in the OG after completing cafe enchante.
My opinion on Fuuen has changed to oh you're so sweet and I forgave everything else
but I still think the ending could have been better so I was wondering
what they're even going to do with that. The additional past scenes were nice
Naaya trying to make food is adorable and Fey realizing stuff about his parents made him
look more insightful than before. Also he's been protective of her since she was little.
There was also a little childhood innocence to it, he actually did want to marry her
but somewhere that changed to it can be anyone but me.
Fey's bad end is up first, its the one where Fuuen gave him and Naaya more time and she
became pregnant with his kid before Fuuen would take over. In the OG I saw this as Fey's
best possible outcome. Mostly because he was very happy but its more of a tragic end.
Their kid's name is Latona, Naaya became a good mother for him.
But where is Fey...? Naaya tries her best to raise him and Latona
is bright enough to figure out her mother really loved his father.
Fey's dialogue on the menu screen after the end was heartbreaking.😭
After this the scenarios start to focus on Fuuen for a bit, he's a mad man
who orchestrated everything to regain what he once lost.
The additional perspectives were nice but when I start to think on it
Fuuen seems similar to Emet-Selch but worse. Oh... maybe this is good actually. Or not.
![]() |
| Literally me with this comparison. |
Kuyaku or her original self becomes buried beneath her past self. The way it ended
last time was good from the perspective of Fuuen... but it seems things weren't so easy.
Naaya's conciousness is still there and Fey tries to reach out to her. You could say
its lingering attachment at work that prevents Naaya from fully becoming Kuyaku.
Naaya slaps Fuuen's hand away and makes a run for it, she doesn't know what to do
but she finds a mirror and Kuyaku seems to speak directly to her from it.
She seems to regret what happened in the past and says she does dwell within her
like they share the same existence. It seems she has become separated from Naaya.
She confirms its Fey that did all this, the connection with Kuyaku is lost for now
so Naaya wonders where Fey even is. Fuuen eventually finds her but this was expected.
He says their situations are much the same, Naaya = Kuyaku and Fey = Fuuen their
conciousness is shared. Fuuen still tries to twist the narrative but Naaya's like no.
Since she doesn't love Fuuen like she loves Fey. Fuuen decides to be funny
and creates a Fey for her and she can't believe her eyes so she jumps at him.
Naaya is like no... this can't be true. I told you didn't I? I am Fuuen yet I am Fey.
Naaya gets stuck between them and I just laughed so much at the CG.
This shitter literally thinks he can make Naaya happy like this I CAN'T.
Nothing really changed except Fuuen spinning the narrative, well played.
It didn't really get much better during the dialogue on the menu screen, trust me bro.
Well let's just move on toward the best after shall we? some of the extra scenes
were more enjoyable than whatever just happened in the good after.
The best end ended with Keisei trying to take Kuyaku back when they were too close
to Matsurika village, at this point Fuuen realized she's just a girl; Naaya.
This lead him to erase her memories that triggered this as well as her memory of Fuuen.
Insert Fuuen snapping his fingers like Emet here.
He did this because he came to love her for who she is and he no longer desires what he wanted.
So now Naaya only recognizes him as Fey. Maybe he was right afterall and they did
exist as one person but now... all that is left is Fey. Fey says he will explain everything
to the villagers and there won't be anything to worry about but he still thinks
he failed as a leader so he decides he wants to turn it into a normal village.
There's not much else to this but honestly? this is all it needed.
I can imagine Fey giving the villagers a talking to, like how dare you act like that
As for the original route of Fey, it was a bag of surprises and unique in these type of games
but I think what really hurt it was the unfinished ending as the conclusion was hasty and raw.
Fey doesn't appear in any of the other afters which makes sense due to his role in the village.
His POV and past events were really sweet and I felt even worse for him than in the OG
so this FD really is for him and I am grateful it is. A lot of the endings also are really easy
to follow up upon like it could either remain a bad situation or... something happy.
The good after was... entertaining to say the least and it did help add context
for the best after and I actually really like Fuuen as a character now.
Actually what was bad about the OG ending? I believe the additional context
helped and it wasn't even a lot to make this actually a decent ending.
9/10
Gyokusui's and gaiden unlocked the remaining chapters, it was kinda fun
to see the senkou's together like that as well as the extra epilogues.
I wrote them down below since they were afterall locked.
~
Gyokusui.🗿
CV: Maeno Tomoaki.
and I have been curious about him ever since Karma's best after.
It seems Gyokusui has regrets over a person named Ourei... and the route also
gives the player a brief recap over how Naaya got chased out of her village.
Its yet another path that Naaya could end up on... they were quite harsh this time and literally
dropped her off a cliff with a river flowing beneat it. Fey can't even act to prevent it.
Thankfully it wasn't the end but I would sure as hell be scared if it were me.
The doctor found Naaya and let her stay till she recovered. He knows she's keigan
and thinks this is some kind of cruel joke since it relates to his past.
Naaya latches on to Gyokusui and tells him everything since she has nowhere else to go.
I find him mature and trustful i'd probably confide in him too. Patients of our dear doctor
refer to him as senkou but he is humble about it as he's just a doctor.🗿
Naay tries to make herself useful and tags along with his duties and learns
somr secrets of his trade. Before we know it some old patient of his starts thinking
they're married or something due to suddenly seeing a woman around him.😅
Gyokusui denies the allegations however.🗿 He is really good at keeping people at arms length.
Its obvious from the start he is bearing the scars of an emotional wound from the past.
Unfortunately Naaya gets kidnapped and ferried off as a slave since they see potential.
Alright alright ALRIGHT! just cause I thought it was a bit boring this happened. Thanks I guess?
Naaya's given a higher rank than most other slaves since she's reserved for Malik.
Who the fuck is Malik?! Anyway our dear doctor is trying to find her but has no leads.
He tries to be indifferent now that she's gone but... her presence has affected him somewhat.
I suppose this is softer than what happened in Ruwo's route in the OG but yeeeeaaaah damn.
This Malik guy is apparently a shota and has a weak constitution so he needs servants
and his parents are rich enough to hire them even if they come from human traffickers.
Well Naaya goes along and tries to fulfill her new position, thankfully her master is a curious kid.
They don't know much about his illness and then someone says if only there was a doctor who did...
some servant starts talking about the rumored miracle doctor in gekka. Queue him popping up
over her for his work, when he realizes what's going on he can't stay composed.
Is this a comedy...? anyway he apologizes for letting it happen, he should've known better.
He tried to search to no avail so he thought she left without telling him.
It took effort but he finally said what he felt and he was worried a little.
Now he is furious and after his job is done he will help. Needless to say
they're closer now but this sure went places, wew lad.
Naaya: You're so kind doctor. Gyokusui: ...no i'm not kind at all. 🗿
Alright. Malik seems to be suffering to a rare illness that has been around for ages
it has some legends attached to it and Gyokusui recognizes it.
I liked the scene in the rain where he gave her his coat, its also the scene
where Naaya admitted she'd like to stay at his side much to his surprise.
He seems to be quite muscled as well, reminded me of Jinshi.
I mean with those clothes on you wouldn't expect them abs.😅
![]() |
| She is taking her role too seriously here... but I am not against it. |
which just leads to him getting embarrassed. It sure did lighten the mood!
turns out the place has some more rules so you can't go in alone.
Later he finds out about the village being THAT village when she mentioned
Keisei. This sparks his interest so he shows her a map and asks her where it is, then points to
where he found her and also shows her where they are now which is in a desert town.
Gyokusui cracks down a potential slave trafficking route and once again apologizes
for being careless and getting her into this situation.
The next day our dear doctor is getting accused of poisoning their lord.
Naaya defends him and its water under the bridge for now.
Thing is Gyokusui has been accused of something in the past but right now that's
not been explained yet. Needless to say he continues his best to treat Malik.
The way Malik tried to explain the legend about a good and bad good was adorable.
Gyokusui pursues some leads for medicine and Naaya tags along to help, actually
its because she's a slave now so they're sending some along.
Naaya tried to be brave and said she'll protect our dear doctor and he was a little surprised.
He used to be an astrologer but he hasn't looked at the stars in a long time...
anyway they found the ruins, Gyokusui was shocked at the state of it and had to perform
some emergency sealing. Ultimately they couldn't find the medicine and had
to deliver the truth they might not be able to cure Malik's illness.
Which leads Malik to reveal that he had a family member named Ourei who was his brother.
This was someone Gyokusui knew, he needed some time alone after this revelation.
Sometime later Malik and Naaya observe a rare eclipse. Malik then starts acting strange
and if she wants to blame anyone then she should blame the doctor.
The story moved very fast but it seems someone was once sealed and was able
to come back and this is Ourei using Malik. Who says this is because of keigan arts.
Unfortunately Naaya is now inflicted with the same illness Malik had.
There are many questions now and no answers. So we're thrown back into the past
for a hot minute where we see Gyokusui's life as a diviner in the age of senkou.
There were a lot of difficult terms being covered and Ourei was a good friend of his.
Ourei jokingly mentioned Gyokusui will have a blessed future. Gyokusui denies🗿 but Ourei said
there was a cute girl involved. LMAO not sure if this is comedy but he denies again.😂😂😂
Ourei is suffering from an illness though even tho Senkou don't get ill he got something.
Ourei really seems to believe in his friend who doesn't believe in what is forbidden.
Keisei was but a baby at this point in time so our dear doctor must be as ancient as Zhong Li.💀
An accident happened in the past and the only way to stop further disaster was to seal it.
Someones using keigan arts that caused all this, its something Gyokusui helped to create
and supposedly is only for keisei himself. In the present Naaya is told to rest for now
however after seeing all that, she's grateful he's still alive. Sadly she now has Malik's illness.
Naaya also tells him she saw a dream of the past. She feels for him but he... thinks of himself
as nothing of a sinner that shouldn't be forgiven. Naaya disagrees.
Gyokusui is full of guilt and blames himself for everything, no one else is to blame.
He also decides to show him more of the past she has yet to see.
The arts he created was responsible for a catastrophic event, he wanted to use this
for good but the opposite happened. It caused destruction before it was stopped.
He was blamed, punished. Naaya can't stand this and tries to do something
which is useless since its a vision of the past. They threw him into a prison
where he was imprisoned for a VERY long time. Till one day Ourei cracked open
the geo cage and wants to trade places with him. Someone used the arts again while
he was trapped and the country he knew is long gone, in its place gekka was built.
Ourei gets his friend up to speed but man this is the mother of all lore dumps.🗿
He was supposed to look for a cure but never made it in time, Ourei died..
but the guilt never left him for failing his best friend who gave him freedom.
who doesn't seem to remember who Malik is. Did he even live here?!
Gyokusui who woke up from his nap mentioned this Malik was searching
for certain things and knowledgable in legends. He also recalls Ourei of the present
didn't quite look like he used to. Anyway Naaya should be free to leave now
that her master is gone so they decided to head back to his clinic in the woods.
In doctor we trust and he actually tries... there's too much lore in here
that idk what Ririka-sensei was smoking but she was writing.💀
The latter half of the route was a lot like Karma's in that they travel a lot but its not
all sightseeing. That doesn't mean they didn't have time for enjoying the moment.
Naaya was curious about him even more so she asked about his childhood.
He didn't have the greatest of families, after his mom died he had no reason
to stay in his home since his sisters were not very nice. It was a long journey
but he had to leave his past behind to become a Senkou, he wanted to ease
peoples suffering and the rest is history. Our dearest doctor wants to try something
so he asks for her forgiveness if it doesn't go as planned. He holds her tight
and starts reciting a complicated chant. It seemed to have worked a little
but Gyokusui looked exhausted from it. There's also another mysterious
green haired woman who knows something is going on. Either way
they continue traveling and Naaya's condition seems to worsen...
Gyokusui seems to be at a loss and filled with anxiety, he can't save who he cares for
then he finally admits how precious he is to her. Don't you die on me.
This was an emotional scene I actually felt bad for him.
Ryokuyo steps in another astrayed senkou like the doctor himself.
She steps in and tells them to come along to her small village which is hidden away
most others have past away and gave up their long lives. So her seeing him if a first.
Apparently Keisei is here as well, albeit a small version? something is off here.
Ryokuyo says it may return to its original form if a Keigan was here
which sort of does line in with what happened in Enrai's route
much like that he was able to regain the three things he lost and awaken.
Ryokuyo is also Ourei's sister so she knew about the illness he had
the doctor mentioned her brother had changed last he saw him.
They're not sure if they can ever cure it so then Keisei offers to take a look.
He knows she's from Matsurika and how her village protected his legacy.
Keisei figures there is a way to cure it but its difficullt as it relies on the phases of the moon.
Things aren't as they seem with Ourei him having the illness means he had to have
messed with something. Gyokusui tries to figure out wtf is the truth or not.
Tonights a full moon so they used the light from the scales to find the location
where Ourei is hiding, its supposedly a place only certain people could enter.
Naaya confessed her feelings for Gyokusui after he expressed some worry as they rested.
Gyokusui got awkward but he did it guys...! i'm so proud of him. 🗿😳
Maybe this is all part of Ourei's plan like I mean his prediction came true. 😂
The next day started out comedic but they're prepared even if Gyokusui isn't fully confident.
Keisei gives him a confidence boost as our doctor doesn't have to shoulder it all
and is willing to be just as responsible for it. As there is no time Ryokuyo opens a passage
to catch up with Ourei. Not many people are allowed to but who's around to care!
wait why can she..? Ourei is already there and he thought his sister was dead
so he is a bit surprised but he tries to get rid of them immediately.
Gyokusui asks if he ***cked with the power of the moon and Ourei's like what of I did?
Turns out he's a bit of a classic and he wanted to play god. They fight, the CG was cool
however it seems this guy is not Ourei but someone who was supposed to be dead. Honshen.
It makes perfect sense why Malik was obsessed with legends and why Ourei
is supposedly still alive, this Meikou(命皇) guy is behind it.
I swear I could hear some of the characters spell it as Reikou but maybe I am delusional.
Keisei asks Naaya to use her voice, her support binds Meikou and this gave
them a chance to take him down. In the end he is taken by the illness
which is a fitting punishment for messing with the moon for his own ambitions.
As he is frozen in crystal he shouts out a name Lanshen while facing Ryokuyo.
They try to search for the actual Ourei now that they're in this realm
as that stupid guy just took his form. They open the cell and he's there.😑
All is well that ends well! Holy shit he did it guys the real star of the show is him.😄
The yappington wasn't over yet, Ourei clears up some stuff but I am too tired to digest this.
Ourei is a very smart guy in many different ways. Absolute legend.
Now they have to get out of here... and Gyokusui made his escape valiantly with the one
he cares about. I like how it ended in lighthearted manner despite all the heavy lore dumping.🗿
Keisei is restored to his original form but thanks to a bunch of stray senkou who all ironically had a connection to eachother. Gyokusui decides to live on as a human together with Naaya.
His duties as a Senkou thereby end as well since he prioritizes family.
The ending was cute... he's still relieved its cured and that he is experiencing happiness.
In the epilogue they get married, it was a fun one with Ourei around.
The bonus CG scene was rather cute but it was also not much more than that.
There was also a funny scene where the dear doctor realizes cats are cute little critters.
![]() |
| I liked how their sprites showed up here, not a bug! its a feature. |
Bad end: Gotten from two bad choices midway... they went straight back
and didn't enjoy themselves along the way. Due to that Naaya's condition gets worse
due to not delaying the illness with his chant. Gyokusui sees himself as a failure
unable to save those whom he holds dear. Strangely enough Naaya says her pain
seems to become less to the point they thought they were fine. Gyokusui is still anxious
but realize he may be in love with her. He is so tired of everything.
He let's Naaya get worse one night by letting the moonlight affect her
and then she slowly turned to crystal. This is all because he realizes he can't cure it.
But was there ever really a need? now he can be with her forever.💀💀💀
It is like an unhinged version of one of Yosuga's bad ends in Olisoi Catharsis.
Good end: Almost identical to the best except for the fact the doctor
chooses to remain a senkou, Naaya wants to stay with him and studies under him.
Keisei only encourages her. Ourei fans the flames for his past divination.
The CG was extremely beautiful so I am kinda relieved I did this last.
Oh boy what can I say but this is Matsurika at its finest hooboy.
Gyokusui's route is like Ruwo in the sense everything is all gucchi
but then something happens that makes reeact like oh my god!
Anyway I find its a bit more graceful than Ruwo...
There had to be stakes, the relationship with the dear doctor was a struggle indeed.
He's problematic in the way keeps his problem to himself even tho he is suffering.💀
I loved the writing in the way that even if it tried to pull something outrageous it comes
together really well. But... there were some difficult terms that flew over my head!
Gyokusui's route was extremely long filled with lore dumps. It took me 15 hours.
The romance+plot balance did satisfy me but much like Enrai my favorite end is the good end.
For a kuudere,, he can be indifferent🗿 but the way he gets embarrassed is adorable.
I don't remember liking a lot of these types but Gyokusui was very well done.
I also found Naaya to be a little more proactive here? considering his personality it had to be.
I like how she noticed his mannerisms.
This LI is also about as ancient as a rock and he sounds like Zhong Li.😂
Ehm finally this route feels more like an alternative path with similar results but its also
anti-Fey since he makes no appearances, good thing he has a whole new route to himself!
9.3/10
After clearing and sleeping on it, I think all of his endings are great in their own ways
The bad end is good because it builded up for it and there was potential for it to happen.💀
Gyokusui route does lose some points for being lore heavy but I still thought it was great.
~
Fey Gaiden.
It starts with the final Keisetsu festival before Fey started supporting his father
as he's come of age so he won't be able to take part in it like usual.
Fey didn't seem like he wanted to do it but he had to fulfill his role as per family tradition.
Ever since Fey changed and he has things he can't talk to anyone about
but Naaya convinces him and Fey says he only has a few years to live.
Fey has very low self-esteem but he decided to keep trying, he wants to live
beyond that day a certain someone will take over. Naaya is very brave
and convinces him that its okay to run away from his fate.
Fey had to lie to his dad, since he is supposed to hear Fuuen's voice by now
but he's very strict in trying to prepare Fey for his future. Fey's dad turns into
a villain much like the villagers acted to Naaya back in the OG.
They decided to runaway like they did in his OG but they're younger now.
Fey still has doubts but he slowly steels himself. As they move through
the forest, Gyokusui noticed something had changed. They run into Enrai
who also noticed something amiss, he sees the girl is keigan.
Fey tries to convince him they have to run faraway.
Enrai tries to be a responsible adult even tho he's a few years younger now too.
Ahaha some things never change. They get taken in by the ku-clan.
Its hilarious how Enshui tried to get them both to call him their brother.
Enrai's completely no nonsense about it.😂😂😂 he's also their teacher.😑
We get a neat recap of the countries history... Fey moans and whines about studying
and the two of them generally grew up save and sound. I kinda like this lighter take.
Gyokusui enters the chat when someone caught an illness, we learn Fuuen was once his disciple.
Fey gets his own OMG moment but he generally stays positive. Bicorn aka Karma
sneaks into their room one night, Fey asks several questions. Karma says its because they
have the same eyes and tries to kidnap Naaya but Fey is very brave, I am so proud of my son!
Enrai arrives to check the ruckus and captures him when he attempted to flee.
Fey takes care of whatever spell was placed on Karma. Enrai wonders how Fey could
use that spell as well. They don't push him to answer as he is confused himself.
Enrai and Fey spar a bit and Fey's been getting better at using a blade.
Karma seems happy to be around here as well. Its... so... peaceful.
This is starting to look like a truth route where everyone comes together.
They also recap bits and pieces of the past here and there in a manner that is
not overwhelming. If you played the OG you will already recognize this.
But instead of someone hijacking and forcing them on us, this is about
two characters discovering the truth behind their village.
Fey grew stronger and he'll protect her if neccessary even from his alter ego
who showed up one night trying to take over Fey and whispered
they are meant to be someone else. Naaya has to say it herself that they are who they are
and aren't their past selves. Fuuen missed his chance and gives up, lmao later.
Somewhere Gyokusui wonders what the heck happened and why Fuuen is back.
Its fun seeing characters interact in this gaiden and its my favorite part like the reaction
of Enrai and Ensui finding out about Fey and Naaya being you know who.
Or Ruwo introducing himself and getting recognized as that guy way back when.
They plan to go back to the village during the next Keiseitsu which is very soon.
Enrai's doing most of the planning here, who else?! Ruwo got slapped by Fey
for holding Naaya's hand. He's so protective now......... the majority of Fey's gaiden
is slow progress toward a different outcome with lot's of comedy along the way.
wasn't too exciting, however I did enjoy the camarederie!
Enrai carried this route and its a hill I am willing to die on.
They basically bait Fuuen by having Naaya dance much like she did with Enrai in his route.
Gyokusui and Fey are there to stop him if he tries anything.
Fey and Fuuen duke it out spiritually but Naaya hitting the gongs remind him
that he shouldn't give in. I think this part was beautiful.
Fey performs a long complicated chant and makes his way back.
Fuuen figures its Gyokusui that thought him this and he wants him to answer for this sin.
Oh... Gyokusui you're so!!! if I hadn't done his route I would want to do it now.
They bring back Keisei as well and all is well that ends well! Fey doesn't have
to explain who he is because Keisei watched them through his dreams.
They all celebrate during the festival at a later date but something happens
and a snake--- no dragon shows up who we know as Seirin.
Everyone is of course surprised because they don't know it yet.
Though from the eyes of the player some of it is a bit repetitive.😅
Maybe I would have enjoyed this gaiden more at the very beginning... not at the end.
In the epilogue Fey continues to hone his skills and everyone else do what they do best.
Fey wants to do something for Naaya so big bro Ruwo supported him.
Fey's very SUS about it in a way that's hilarious. Naaya realizes how much she loves him
and he wants to continue doing his best even though he's already doing so.
Uh so Ruwo and Fey find some shady stuff and Fey wants to deal with it...
Ruwo says he shouldn't since he's going to get married right but Fey
wants to do something for the country. Ruwo has a bad feeling so he tags along.
They bust into Kien's hideout, Fey you're cool but I guess boys gonna be boys huh?!
Meanwhile Naaya's just doing girly things with Shouchou only for them
to hear Fey's did a great job. They all hold another celebration.
Fey asks Naaya to come with him for a sec and says he likes her, ever since.
He really wanted to wait for a good moment to get it all off his chest.
Fey formally proposes to her, Naaya has no reason to refuse since she already likes him.
They hold a wedding and everyone attends, its a satisfying ending and I don't dislike it.

| The curse of doing this last means it cannot be unseen. |
which basically leads to the beginning of the original game. Nothing to see here.
Bad end 2: They just hide somewhere and don't run so nothing really changes.
Good end: Nearly identical to the best end, things are as busy as ever
and Lao from their village came to visit. Ruwo helped open up the village
to the world with his puppet show. So they're a bit more open minded now.
He says they're welcome to come back if they wanted to since they had no idea
he was suffering this much. The guy also mistakes them for already being married
so Fey freaks out. Ruwo confirms they're living as adopted siblings of the Ku's.
Then the guy starts hitting on Naaya........ as he too always had a crush on her.
Ruwo and Shoucho tell Fey this news who was just nonbiri packing stuff.
They saw Naaya try to find him to give a response before he left only to reject him.
Fey arrives just in time giving the impression she was going to say yes....😂
All of this leads Fey all embarrassed to ask Naaya's hand, wao.
Either way they're both very happy and Naaya hugged him excitingly.

| The butterfly being put on his sprite shows this game was handled with care. |
Naaya to be taken from her in Fey's best end but he ends up killing her.
He regrets this deeply but then he noticed a butterfly which has her presence.
The butterfly rests on his hand as if it understands him.
So he did protect her and apologizes till he can find a way to bring her back
even if it takes him years, no matter what sacrifices he has to make.
Ah... I guess some things never change do they?
Fuuen keeps trying and then he finds the doctor's shack and tells his teacher everything.
Unfortunately it wasn't easy and his journey took ages, one day he was corrupted
and gets the bright idea that maybe he should reach for godhood.
Fuuen will never give up and there is no one to stop his madness.
Bruh... someone help this guy but OMG he eventually did it.
Well I guess there is a happy ending for this guy... I'll allow it. *Keisei voice*
Fuuen epilogue 2: I wondered what this was but it seems to take place
during his corruption arc above here. Suppose they wanted to please any
Fuuen fans so otomate doesn't get roasted. Anyway they got married
and because he's Emet he recreated her home too, Peace out.
Fey epilogue: This takes place after the gaiden best end, everythings going just
peachy compared to what's written above here and they're enjoying life.
Wew that CG is... here I thought Fey had no lewd CG's, I was wrong!
Suppose soon they'll be a real family as well.
Fey's bonus CG was Naaya doing his hair, idk why but I expected
this during the actual story & not hidden away, there was a CG drought too
so I wonder what happened but I guess they couldn't fit it in.
Fuuen's bonus CG is a big smooch, eyyy they making sure he's getting love alright.

I'll admit that when I got to Fey Gaiden I was kinda done with the game
I still appreciate it because the Fey content; this and his afters is maybe 20%.
Fey's appearance rate outside of this is none-existant due to his role but it is what it is.
Thankfully this after was fast-paced, the majority took place during their teens
and before I knew it I was in chapter 9, it lacked the volume&stakes of Gyokusui route.
I don't think its bad but it turns certain characters into villains that weren't portrayed as such
for example, Fey's dad is much stricter now. Maybe he always was, we just never saw.
I can sorta believe, the OG timeline is just Fey trying his best and acting tough.
Like how Fey wanted Naaya to be happy even if it ain't him...
Fey's original route was a bold move, but this gaiden
is a good alternative if you found it too much.
Side note: Enrai is such a good dad........😭😭😭
8.5/10
I want to rate Fey gaiden higher however I think this is better done sooner than later.
Since it spends more time just having fun, there's some emotional moment but it
generally was light-hearted similar to the afters. It also felt a little conveniently written.
What can I say but that this is more of a true end for Fey. I do want to mention
Fey kinda looked like that Meikou guy in the best end and i'm like....
was he some sort of evil Fey during development?!💀

Route ranking:
Gyokusui >Fey/Fuuen > Fey Gaiden > Zebenera /Enrai>Karma>Seirin>Ruwo.
I think the new guy was better as a whole than most afters since its an actual route
but! if someones you're fav I find them worth doing just for the additional contents.
Its kind of hard to rank the LI's stories, I think they all had some issues
but the extended time we got with them did generally make me happy.
Fav character:
Gyokusui/Enrai > Fey > Seirin/Zebenera> Fuuen > Karma > Ruwo.
Ruwo's always last isn't he? well in the sense I liked other LI's more, I forgive him for his sins.
Karma's not high either but there's more characters in this game which makes him rank lower.
I also like Gyokusui and his denials, step aside Enrai! ...actually this is useless! I like them all.
---
Best after story ranking:
Fey/Fuuen > Karma > Gyokusui > Fey gaiden > Enrai / Seirin > Zebenera > Ruwo.
*Gyokusui has no afters so I am ranking his based on the ending*
Good after story ranking:
Gyokusui & Enrai > Fey gaiden> Zebenera > Seirin > Fey/Fuuen > Karma > Ruwo.
Bad after story ranking:
Zebenera > Enrai > Gyokusui > Fey/Fuuen > Ruwo > Karma & Seirin > Fey gaiden.
Karma and Seirin are low because there wasn't much it even added
unlike the ones I ranked higher and hey! Ruwo's not dead last this time.
Seirin did have a epilogue to it... but i'm not sure how I feel about it on its own.
Fey gaiden has nothing burgers of a bad ending but I guess its okay as a link to the OG.

Final Thoughts.

| Oh shit its literally Zhong Li, of course I like him. |
I don't think its perfect and it may be too sweet but its the little things that makes
this fandisc a worthwhile experience. There were of course some things
where I thought if it was really necessary which mostly relates to the bad ends
and no they didn't make it worse, they... made it better. I can't believe I am saying this.
This FD is happiness lvl MAX. Even if a character met a tragic fate... its not all despair.
Its like the opposite of Virche hammering in more despair with its FD
here's Matsurika just making everything better.😌😂💀
I said it remind me of KgK FD with the added perspectives but there's far more
romance CG's like it made some recent games I played look modest.

| Trying to fit anyone on the screen for a group shot... challenge completed! |
like the moment in the beginning where they show of the characters and then he appears.😂
After seeing the OP I don't even want to see anything too dark. Maybe that's why I was easily
satisfied. There's so much shit lately in the world and sometimes you just want something sweet
which is what this FD mostly is. Afters arent't as heavy as Olisoi Catharsis with its
full-on NPC drama but that doesn't mean things never were emotional, its mostly sweet.
The darkest this FD ever was is perhaps some of Ruwo's content; bad and good.
I saw the director of Mistonia in the special thanks. so I figured that was their handiwork.💀
Gyokusui's route was the one I thought was the most balanced, Fey's gaiden was ofc nice
but... despite enjoying it and the camaraderie I think it was lil repetitive in terms of contents.
Most of the afters were light and its not deep, its fluffy content for the most part.
That said... I don't think the writing was very strong there but it wasn't awful.
With FD's I am fine with seeing just a little more of the couple's life and I don't
need it to be that deep, just seeing them happy and/or ironing out issues is good enough.
It did follow up on things from the OG, I remember Ruwo saying he had met Naaya
once before and the FD followed up on that. For Zebenera's bad after I thought
it was written well, they could have made it really tragic ala Virche sure
but instead they made it wishful and I kinda liked it.
Speaking of wishful I also liked Fuuen's butterfly epilogue, he got his happiness too!
9.3/10
Is it worth 8000k yen? yes mostly for fans who just want more content
or another perspective to the same story. There's more than enough
content to warrant it at that price. It took me around 60 hours to fully complete.
My fav LI's after this FD is this still Enrai but Gyokusui is close second.
Of course I am happy for Fey too so he's 3rd! everyone else sorta follows.
My favorite side character is Ourei, I don't need him as a LI even he's good as is!
I've never called a side character a goat before but Ourei is it.
