Olympia Soiree Catharsis - Review

Yosuga isn't even trying to hide the Anaxa agenda on here.
  Genre: VN.
Developer/publisher: Otomate.
Platform: Switch.
Official Site: https://www.otomate.jp/olympia/catharsis/
Release date: 11-18-2025

I wasn't really sure if I should get this sequel but... I liked Riku a lot so I got it just for him.
I had no real expectations and just decided to keep them low.

If you haven't played the original then I don't suggest starting here
since it builds on the original game and requires investment.

Disclaimer: This is purely my own opinion and it could be different from yours
this is not meant to be some kind of all-truth, just an opinion that came from playing this.
If you don't like what you're reading then close the tab, move on and just idk play it yourself.

Pro's
- Story wraps up the character's arcs & develops even minor characters without sprites.
- Art and Music are as good as the prequel.
- Good content value to warrant the 8500k yen price.

Grey area
- Those wanting something short and sweet may be in for more than they bargained.
- Convenient writing. Rainbow rain? that is canon for all now.
- Epilogues can feel samey but no one was done dirty.

Con's
- A new character; Nathanael feels like a third wheel that just exists in most routes.
- Some routes much like the prequel have bad CG pacing and/or a lot of them at once.
- Padding and pacing issues galore.
----

I loved the OP movie this time a lot more than the OG! has nice gentle feel to it.
Best ending song was pretty decent, the art aesthetic of it was good.
The bad ending song was OK but the tone felt weird to me
it had a sad-happy vibe? like shit happens, anyway!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

System
Same as original, there's not much changed.
- Art appeared to be as gorgeous as it mostly was in the OG.
I discovered atleast one CG in Tokisada's route that seemed like they had to meet
their quota more than anything else, most of the other CG's were good so who cares.
- Music is the mostly the same which is nice and familiar.
- UI is a lot better and you can reach the backlog more easier now.
They also separated the save and load buttons so its an improvement indeed.
The text was also easy to read, which was a relief for my grandma eyes.
-  Pacing and chapter length felt like it was about the same as the original.
There are a lot of chapters again but the length is again 30-45 min to an hour-ish.
I suppose the length can depend on your reading speed, someone slow
and taking their time is going to take longer than a fast reader.
- Clearing all routes took me around 75 hours or so my switch says.
The individual route length was roughly 8-10 hours or so
and Akaza's route was quite a bit longer than the others.
- You don't need a guide if you're after the best ends, cuz of the correct choice
indicator, left side of the compass is where you wanna be for a good time
but to the right always leads to a bad or sad end. Its really easy to get the good end
and its nearly impossible to not get it. The tune for bad choices is indeed a warning.
Bad endings are well bad, I only liked maybe two of them in the whole game and one
focused on Kanan was one of them. Wait what?! why...? because oranges are better when peeled.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The prequel was relatively open ended, happy enough but not fleshed out.
Tenguu island main issues aren't entirely gone and they still tried to keep the same shitty
traditions despite there being noticable improvements so there was still some crap going on.
You can't have a wedding with that so before that happens Olympia and her LI of choice
iron out any issues. Not everyone was happy with what the heroes or so to speak tried
to achieve which tended to lead to a lot of drama.
---
Due to its contents this was not a FD but more of a direct sequel.
Upon starting the story, you're shown a prologue what appears to be a continuation of Akaza's
route but what they did is make certain elements (not all) of Akaza's route canon for all routes.
To put it simply the rainbow rain fell for every one. (Or did I get the wrong impression?)
Some things from all route canonically happened within two and a half years.
There was also atleast one flashback per route that was about
Himuka revealing himself to Olympia or those he trusts.
The prologue lasted maybe 2ish hours, depending on reading speed.
Then just go pray to the goddess, in hopes he is not a white.😂
Early on I was still a bit confused on the prologue over how things were implemented.
I find most of the characters competent enough and capable of dealing with things
if they put their minds to it so this didn't seem like an impossible turn of events.
Looking back at the original, some route had very little issues by the time of their end anyway
so the writers can get away with some of this just to drive the narrative as a whole forward.
I also realized most of the crap that happened in Akaza's route in OG was Tsukuyomi's fault.
So the stuff with the mirrors was likely not as big of a deal for everyone in other routes...
i'm making excuses am I not? and otomate is getting away with it.
Catharsis also had the same route restrictions as the original game, so if you thought
you could jump straight to Akaza its hahahah no you go everyone else first.
Akaza fans live reaction upon finding out his route is locked.
---
I did notice some audio issues, they were mostly in the prologue; in it there were a handful of
dialogue lines where the voice was a bit off; the most obvious was Himuka and there was
one moment where Daifuku sounded off like the voice file was damaged or something.
The rest of the game was fine and I encountered no issues, likely an oversight.

There were still a decent amount of flashbacks but they were for the most part used properly.

Other characters such as Hairi and Asuha had there sprite & voice actor changed, this took
a while  to get used to but this is because they're older now, they grow up so fast huh?!
Though he still had that same foul mouth... tho a little less now.
---
Overall, I kept my expectations low but it was a pretty good follow up!
I find that its weakness is that it can focus a bit too much on side characters
but most of the drama seems to be intertwined to the character of that route.
Whether old side characters showed up a lot depended on relevance, the new ones
took up the majority of the run time. In some cases like Riku it complimented
what was build thus far. Individual route's plot was still inline with the
characters personal struggles and good at closing off their stories.
Now what I found excellent is that even if the character had no sprite their story continued
i'd say that's excellent worldbuilding but its a shame they are still spriteless.😖
This sequel wasn't the short and sweet type, it had substance.
Content value was good, the routes in Catharsis didn't feel as short as in 9RiP sequel.

Nathan the new white guy wasn't very relevant for most of the game, like he just
exists and instead it focuses more on the current LI's problem or that of side characters.
It isn't till the final route that he feels part of the story and idk if that is good or bad.
Routes that never went into the truth don't go into that and are relatively self-contained.
I can forgive some of that. They took some liberties with the prologue afterall
but the routes were all follow ups to the ones in the prequel.

I recommend Olympia Soiree Catharsis to anyone that was invested into the characters
and would generally like to see more with them. The game is only difficult to recommend
to those that lost investment over the years. Or expected something short&sweet
because the routes were long and require time to complete.
The story also heavily focuses on healing and forgiveness so if you dislike this
or a huge focus on side character drama it could be a skip.

TL;DR
I enjoyed Riku's route!!! but struggled with Tokisada's. Yosuga was fine...
and thought Kuroba was pretty good even if I don't like him as a LI.
Disappointment ensued by how little relevance Nathan had in the initial 4 routes
its not till the locked routes the actual story picked up. Some routes weren't actually
all that interesting, those tended to focus too much on new side characters.
That Baraku guy was such a bonehead problem child, I'm so tired.
Akaza's route felt longer than most but his was the only route that brought resolution.
Atleast with Riku I found some stuff that compliments his character arc. I don't even
remember much about Tokisada's route other than Baraku stomping around.
The romance was still good but it was rather plot heavy, I'd say its worth it to get
more contents with your favorite LI but if that LI is Himuka or Akaza you could
suffer trying to get to them since their routes are locked. Other than that this just had
its ups and downs but most of it wasn't too bad. Even if I only liked my favorite
it was still a worthwhile investment, afterall I don't need to like every route.
Unfortunately I think they switched the writers at the end of Akaza's route because
at one point I had to wonder if  I was playing the same game that I had started 70 hours ago.
Thankfully the resolution was still satisfying but man... wew lad.
8/10

As for the recommended play order; the same as the original game is fine, which is
what I used. Its also okay to do any of the initial available LI in whatever order you want.
My play order: Riku > Tokisada > Yosuga > Kuroba > Himuka > Azaka.

Character rambles and shitty text dumps after the jump, I share a few of my fav CG's
but not all of them. Better stop reading here if you don't want spoilers.

 ====================================================================
 Prologue

Things have been going just peachy on tenguu island, after the rainbow rain fell
small improvements for quality of life were slowly made.
Till one day someone washes up ashore, a white man.
Naturally there's an uproar, they aren't sure what to do
even if they do the regular ritual for outsiders it may not work
and they may need to throw this husk back into the ocean. 💀
Turns out he came back to life on his own so the uproar continues since he was
declared dead and it appears he doesn't know where he is or what his name is.
Jigen was as nice as ever and explains where he is in an easy to understand manner.
They decide to observe the man as he gets used to life on the island but they're prepared to act.
Aki has his own familiar too Mokurogi but he's imo not as cute as Daifuku.
We were basically explaining everything to mister white guy who's referred to by
everyone as Nathanael and he doesn't mind adopting it over his own name Aki
which is like the only thing he even remembers from his old life.
Nathan is a fast learner and already picked up his existence might be odd.
Nathan has a relaxed nature, is generally friendly and curious.
It was kind of nice watching him explore the island as a way of settling back into the story.
After the prologue is over you can select a route.
 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Rambling about Nathan here...)
When I first finished Riku's route I doubted that Nathan was a necessary
addition it felt like he was just added to get some drama going. 😅
In most routes Nathan felt underused but its obvious they were saving the heavier
plot reveals for later. This opinion did not change much for the initial routes.
I started to think that they wanted some kind of IF/another story that takes place
after Akaza's end but then just... wove Nathanael into each and every route.💀
This could explain why he just has barely any presence except here or there
and never has his origins fully explained till the last route.
(Please note this is just something I thought, not a fact.)
The description of the game seems to hint Nathan is some sort of secondary
protagonist who unravels the curse of the island but in most route
he just  keeps to himself. If anything the people on the island just
assume things, like damn white boy washes up on shore and uhm yea
totally a good fit for Olympia! never mind she already being in a relationship.😒
Lmao its like people gossiping about celebrities and thinking so and so
is better than whoever they're with. Its actually kinda lame if you ask me.
Akaza's route concluded Nathan's story nicely we just don't talk about the other half.
---
Dumb meme that I thought was relevant for the majority of this game:
Nathan: What is my purpose? Otomate: For added drama. Nathan: OMG!
(End rambles about Nathan.)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Riku.
CV: Nobunaga Shimazaki.
His route started out nice enough, things are just peachy.
Nathan is still the talk of the town cuz he's dat white boi.
Seems that certain things ended up happening anyway
and Himuka came clean to everyone who he was.
They couldn't always see eachother due Riku having his duties but I didn't mind it
since there was no drama about it, just each of them having their life.
The school that was meant to be build is already open and Olympia attents.
There were preparations for their wedding ceremony but I did think
things went a bit too smoothly... so of course Kanan had to publish another paper.
Honestly I really wanted to squeeze and orange... he never changes.
The council of the blue wanted Riku to choose someone else to bear children
due to the white only bearing people of white colour. He got so angry
like I have never heard his seiyuu sound so angry.💀💀💀
These guys are too focused on tradition and are causing a hissy fit.
Shura tries to get them to calm their tits but it barely had any effect.
Its so bad Riku thinks its better to cancel their engagement.
Olympia yelled her frustration out at the sea, she spends some time with
Tokisada which basically confirms they used Ikimizu to grow their peaches
then he figured they had a fight while out on delivery. Himuka ends up tagging along.
They introduced some new guy called Baraku who's dream is to kill Hiruko
nevermind Himuka getting flustered cuz he heard him say it but he had to play it cool.😅
Not sure why it randomly focused on all this, it felt like the story derailed a little
but maybe its good to take your mind away from things when things aren't working.
Oh! Kaina is quite excitable, i'm honestly happy he got his groove back.😊
Masuhana's child also seems to have born, Riku decides to tag along. Its healthy but...
Kuroba gets really pissy at Sakyo since he tried to take the child
for the sole reason its hair colour was a perfect shade of blue much like Riku himself.
I remember Riku originally being from Yomi... and now Sakyo sees this child as the blue's hope.
Olympia is like cut the crap and leave Aohito and his wife alone! Sakyo tries to convince
Riku that Aohito's child should be taken in by the blue much like he was.
Masuhana has enough and says she doesn't want this to happen.
Riku has to face the same problems that happened when he was born.😭
There's also the other drama in the route with the maria of yomi but it ended up
being really important, why Baraku wanted to kill Hiruko though was not relevant.
ALSO I actually feel bad for Shura having to deal with the blue council but she figures
the end might be near even if Riku would do as they say. A white child would certainly
benefit batsu but would it really be worth the trouble trying to stay blue? no.
Needless to say Shura supports Olympia and Riku. Because Riku's origins
as well as the fact that Masuhana's child didn't come  from two pure blues.
Riku is more and more becoming a leader, defending people in public
and also apologizing for almost breaking up because of the drama in ishanaten.
MAN...
He's come to terms with his past even more now due Masuhana's situation.
They help sell some food in yomi but Riku realized something about tomori.
After dinner he shows a slightly more jealous side and doesn't want Olympia
to get taken in by Nathan. Well now... didn't know he had this side!😳😳😳
THANKS NATHAN...
The next day Olympia decides to investigate Tomori and learns from some grandma
there might be skeletons in her closet quite literally. There may be rumors over
Riku's origin out there but Akaza has his back because he's his best friend.
Later the two over hear Tomori and Baraku which seems to suggest
that she once had a kid but they're gone and she blames herself for that.
Baraku ends up spreading rumors and it spreads like wildfire
and now everyone knows Riku could be a hazushi.
Sakyou ends up speaking up about the 25th year old tale
of how a newborn boy(Riku) from yomi ended up joining the blue.
Sakyou says the only one to blame for this is him and not Riku.
Riku still ends up announcing the truth in person and hopes that they see them
for the person he is and that he wants what's best for the blue.
Kaina thinks he has to apologize to Riku because he's truly becoming a good leader.
Olympia ends up confronting Tomori, her own son and SO died.
Sakyou tells her she should not get involved with her... she'll be taken care of.
Next day Baraku storms into the kotowari looking for Tomori.
He's been noticing how's she's been more sad lately so this hothead blames them.
They all look for her and Riku finally pieces it together that she could be his mother.
They find her at the prism lake and Riku gently asks her to come back with him
but she believes herself to be sinful. So he asks her if she's his mother.
Riku treats her with such kindness, he so bby. 😭😭😭
Eventually he convinces her to come back with him and later Shura
reveals the future of the blue at the plaza and Riku will succeed her.
Effective immedately he abolishes the rules of marriage so everyone
can choose of their own accord because even people of so called
ugly colours could give birth to someone like Riku or Masuhana's son.
While also boldy proclaiming he had three mothers, Tomori, Rino and Shura.
They also they had a heart to heart on the northern beach which had a gorgeous CG.
In the epilogue they finally end up getting married, their sprites changed too.
Masuhana and Aohito came to watch them at the plaza as well
they do will try their best to raise their own child.
Anyways they end up spending their wedding night on Tennyo island
there were apparently still some buildings there. UwUb
Sad end where she got stabbed by some guy on the beach at night, Riku
slowly loses it and is overcome with hatred for whoever did it.
NGL it was a pain to sit through... the ending song was kind of nice
but hearing him drown in sadness on the title screen was not it.
Bad end; this one had me sit through half the route for it... you really need to be
purposefully make bad choices. Olympia asks Kanan of all people for help
so she meets him at the cafe later that day, he blurts out there is a girl he likes.
Olympia tries her hardest to get him to cooperate with her but he's being difficult.
Then he leads her to the beach and meets up with Aogumo.
Kanan actually tries to convince him and when he draws a blade he shoots him.
Olympia's plan backfires cuz he forces her to work with him to save Riku
from all the nasty people that could stand in his path like that dead guy over there.
Lmao this is like subjective good, more so if you like that orange.
Oranges aren't bad they just got thick skin, you gotta properly peel and squeeze them.🍊
Bonus story was nice to wash the above away... I feel happy now.
Well now! this certainly complimented Riku's route from the OG.
It added so much and gave proper closure to it all I can't help but get sad that it was over.
Riku has grown so much since Olympia first met him he's a true leader now
i'm so proud of my bby. Truly deserved to call him best boy. The bad end wasn't
even that bad... and that's coming from someone that disliked the orange.
Riku still has the curse of being less involved but character wise, he is able to stand on his own.
Plot? what plot! he's gonna carry the island on his back soon along side the other leaders of course.
Route rating: 9.5/10
~

Tokisada.
CV: Uemaro Yuuto.
Savor this CG because it'll be a while till the next one...
Uh yea he's grown up so fast just like that peach tree.... twice as handsome as he was.
Did he take some of that ikimizu too? it wouldn't surprise me!
Tokisada's route is kind of a pain for me to get through because i'm not
very invested in him but I still wanted to see what was up here.
Baraku was being a bonehead this route ISTG but I liked his VA so it added to the experience.
Much like Riku's route Himuka already ended up revealing he is Hiruko because
he trusts everyone (as in everyother LI). I guess this counts as another canon event.
I found part of the plot to be a bit repetitive like visiting Tomori(I know who you are now...).
They also deliver peaches for her like in Riku's route but Baraku i thinks
they're poisoned or something. He's so distrustful I am like why?!
Anyway drama happens where Nishiki and her newborn end up going to
the island were people receive their colour because they want to live in Yomi.
Since her kid was born with a bad colour, she's willing to throw her colour tag away.
They end up bringing up this matter with the Kotowari and also give the child a checkup.
I guess this shows there are still problems to iron out but one step at a time.
I don't really understand Baraku but he keeps on being a rude arsehole.
Fusou is apparently still alive and kicking! he knew Shizuku apparently
and asks Olympia to deliver a letter to her. Tokisada keeps trying to treat
Baraku with grace but he wants nothing of it... ugh.
Himuka got tongue tied when he was asked if he could meet Hiruko.
Baraku carried some blue shou with him and they all wonder why he even has this
and then he ends up eating?(ew) it infront of them.... wasn't sure if I read this right.
Apparently Baraku wants the power of batsu so he can kill everyone on this island
and Hiruko's first in line and second Akaza... hmm who's next? maybe Olympia.
Tokisada makes a bet with him at the cost of his life, Bakaru has a deadline, if he fails
then he has to stop his murderous intent, if he wins Tokisada will tell him who Hiruko is.
Tokisada is willing to gamble because the chance is slim he will get the power of batsu
by eating Shou but they have to investigate Baraku's motives.
If you hadn't noticed there was a massive CG drought and well Tokisada
did say he wanted to spend time with Olympia but he told her to wait.
They ask Akaza to tell them more about Baraku he's reluctant since
its not a pretty tale, apparently he's suffered a lot of this island
which caused him to resent everything. Well uh they can't do much now
but they help Nishiki to get over her insecurities and her child is not ugly.
She compares him to Asuha and blames herself for her old ways of labeling colours.
Tokisada thinks Baraku is not a threat and they'll get thru to him eventually.💀
Though he got oddly overprotective since it would be a problem if something happened... to her.
So then he finally asks Olympiia out on a date... tommorow. Its been 48 years.
Aogumo was being a jerk, he's just old fashioned my bby Riku tried to shut him down.
Next day it really show there's a ways to go... why are there rumors of Olympia being
into that white guy tho?! even 15 year old girls are interested in Tokisada now.😑
The drama with Baraku continues to be lovely, not. Tokisada tries so hard to convince him
that I am starting to feel bad for him. Real talk Baraku is like a dog who won't stop barking
you think he's a threat but he never bites. Its kinda annoying because he won't listen.
Tokisada glomps her from behind but the CG looked like he was choking her.💀
Anyway he wants to try to be useful like Jigen and the others, he's green with envy.
So he tries to be a man worthy of being with Olympia... which is why he
barely had any time for her. Even tho he should have been happy he hasn't been
since he felt like he was not enough. Seeing Nathan brought him pain
and the rumors of him being more suitable makes him jealous.
He wants to get married for real to stop those rumors. He's been dragging himself
down all this time wangsting, Olympia has had enough and decides to take this
pathetic wet cat to Tennyo island. They make out near ikimizu spring.
When they go to a shack nearby Tokisada says he definitely will not be a bottom this time
because he remembers wast she did that night after he walked into the ocean.
They get cozy but wait wtf is up with all the CG's one after the other?!
its nice things are kinda romantic now but damn was it a wasteland up till now.
Olympia meets Shizuku again who found out they've been hiding Nishiki.
She then reveals a bunch of stuff about herself being an Umazume, she adopted a kid
of the purple. She knows of living in fear of having to flee because you know what happens
if people contract haku, their homes get burnt.  Shizuku doesn't have much faith that
Olympia believes her but she does uh well. Anyway the rumor mill churns.
People found out about Tokisada hiding the Nishiki's newborn
and Olympia decides to pay Kanan a visit who just came back.
I wasn't really sure where the plot was going this route... there's the stuff
with Baraku and Nishiki... things are a mess. Akaza has Tokisada's back
so he isn't alone in trying to make the island a better place.
They try to talk to Baraku again and well he's the same as ever
i'm starting to think he's just a turbo tsundere with a stick up his rear.
Some message washed up ashore, its a cute one but when Baraku
hears about Tokisada not being from here he gets like take me back
but the whirlpool's get in his way. Baraku's just a nerd who's had it up to here
with the island and wants to leave Himuka tells him eating the shou is futile because
they're just glass beads. He won't get batsu from that.(Absolute dumbass moment)
Tokisada doesn't know how to deal with the whirlpools and he decided to live here
on the island so he won't go. Baraku almost threw a stone away which ended up
being a gem with a colour fitting to him so they picked it up and used it their
advantage cuz Baraku is not ugly but he just stomps off like a tsundere.😩😩😩
LIVE; Baraku reaction.
Whatever! anyway sometime later they arranged a place for Nishiki and her child.
who's relieved the people of the fuchsia had a place for them.
Tokisada mans up and starts acting like a leader more and more.
He stops trying to do things by himself and asks the rest of the green
to work together to make the island a better place. Yay democracy.
Asuha tells Olympia about his dreams and hopes, he wants to help too
despite being treated unkindly at times, Baraku overheard the aspirations and mopes.
Tokisada ends up giving Olympia some flowers but the prettiest flower to him is her.
Yhe CG but it looked kind of awkward. I don't think Satoi worked on this one.
Nathan has a chat with Tokisada and they talk a bit about the era where he is from
which somehow triggered some things in him about as song but that's about it.
Baraku gets into a heated confrontation with Akaza, most people cheer for Akaza
but Aogumi waltzes in and they're forced to explain themselves.
Akaza tries to be nice and even calls Baraku a friend but Aogumi is like lmao
you're friend with that ugly mug? which doesn't help. Before he leaves Baraku
confidently says he will one day smack Akaza who just says he'll look forward to it.💀
Baraku seems to give Tomori flowers to display at her shop... I guess he can be nice to
specific people.. Think I felt asleep during some of the political intrigue in this route
but eventually the two decide to get married. Aogumo is a jerk, he treats
Baraku like shit, okay he may be a bonehead but he does not deserve abuse.
Not only that he made it sound like Tokisada doesn't belong on the island.😠
Aogumo draws his blade on Tokisada and tries to create a riot in the plaza
saying he is unfit to be a leader on this island. Hairi is furious because
he found out he beat up Baraku. A wild Riku appears just in time.
Some woman who respects Tokisada chimes in and in the end, Riku
shuts Aogumo down because who the fuck does this nerd think he is?
Tokisada still gets enough votes for leadership and Himuka convinces
everyone of what Hiruko wants for the island.
Yosuga fans the flames till Kanan interrupts to throw salt on Aogumo.😂
At the end Tokisada announces when his wedding day is, on Olympia's birthday.
They end up finding Baraku on the beach moping around...
he admits he lost the gamble they made back then.
Tokisada  pretty much has come to terms with his past of having killed
then Baraku tries to stab him with a piece of glass and tells him how much he suffered
and prayed to Hiruko to save him. Then some people contracted haku so he saw
it as a sign and he was relieved. He set his own place on fire and Aogumo knew it all
but Hiruko didn't save him at all so he started resenting everything.
How could someone like him be friends with this smartass green?
just as he says to leave him be the gemstone washes up on the shore.
Kanan informs us the problem child attempted to assassinate Akaza
who is surprisingly deadpan about it. Eventually the bonehead
shows up in the office holding a gun but it won't fire. Kuroba disarms him
but he just runs off again. Tokisada and Olympia both chase the problem child.
Despite everything they express their worries and try to treat Baraku with grace.
Tokisada tries to get thru to him that killing won't get him anywhere.
It hit me that Baraku may've reminded Tokisada of his own reckless past-self.
I mean the guy was executed for plotting an assassination so... him trying
to help Baraku not make this same mistake made a lot of sense to me.
He also claims to hate Tomori for seeing him at his lowest, he expected
to die eating his last but instead he lived. Tokisada drags him to Olympia's home
and shows him the tree, he says Baraku can have all the peaches and he's just flustered.
Tokisada accepts him warts and all because if he doesn't things could end up
much worse, he tells him how much joy being on the island brought him.
As well as showing him the scar and how he got it. Either way they teach
Baraku that not everyone is bad and that he can do good too.
Tokisada then hands him the gemstone that suits him.
Look at this tsuntsun problem child here LMAO.
The leaders formally accept Tokisada as leader of the green now and their
wedding day approaches. Olympia's dress was different from Riku's route.
Tokisada is so happy he can barely contain his feelings.
Everyone comes to congratulate them even Baraku... Hairi seems to drag
him along and keep him from leaving, heh look who're best buddies now.
On their wedding night they went to tennyo, Tokisada suddenly got so embarrassed
Olympia just pushed him down like what she did to Riku in the OG.
The vibes were nice all night long. UwUb.
Bad end: Baraku wanted to have a chat and then knocks her out
he tells her not to hold it against him since he is scum after all.
She ends up being kidnapped by some pompous noble
and they blackmail her. When they try to order Baraku around
even more he ends up beating them up so much they die.
Baraku tells Olympia to just... go and not tell anyone about this.
Riku finds her, Baraku turns himself in right away and seems to regret it.
Bad end 2: Olympia gets kidnapped again by some random guys. When they
attempt to rape her someone ends up killing them, that person is Tokisada.
He has no regrets and they make out in the cave. Uh yea nice I guess.
The short story was cute as per usual, good to wash away the above.😒
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I thought Tokisada's route was a bit of a drag, TBH i'm a bit mixed.
Baraku was such a problem child ISTG.
Also that CG drought, its like Kuroba's route in the original game
like he gets one at the start but then its tumbleweed.💀
There was very little time for romance, Tokisada wanted to but he had to deal with
some problems first. The so called date was ruined because of a barking dog(Baraku).
Byakuya was amazing for dragging Tokisada back to her home, holy shit what was up
with him self sabotaging himself like that tho. It was painful to read.😭💀
Needless to say he got his shit together which was nice to see.
I guess I am just not very invested into Tokisada maybe someone
that likes him will speak more nicely about this route but welp.
I found it to be all over the place and a bit convoluted and I was pooped when I hit
the happy end, it did however complete Tokisada's story its just I felt that
a lot of stuff with Baraku was repeated hench the draggy&padded feel.
Baraku is a complex character, at times I find him annoying.
I partly think that he could be a LI in any other otome game.
Also the bad ends both felt random, if you skip them you miss nothing of value.
Route rating: 7/10 .

Yosuga.
CV: Uchida Yuma.
After a mostly chaste route what do I get? sexy times right at the start with Yosuga.😄
Yosuga teased a bit too much which lead to Hairi raging which leads to him teasing even more
in that he's been taken with Olympia. Uh yea this started with a bang.😂😂😂
The rumor mill churns because of that white guy but what else is new?
Yosuga's very open with Olympia being his girl compared to most others
still having to deal with engagement woes. 💀 Tsukuyomi has a bit more presence
in this route and seems to confirm early on that the white guy is not a real white.
Yosuga wants Olympia to becareful not to be spotted too much with him since the
rumor mill being what it is; Nathan has no ill intent but the islanders might get ideas.
The reason Mukorogi is so feisty with Daifuku is because he kinda likes Juliet
but he is being a tsundere about it, Daifuku doesn't like it.
Nathan ends up borrowing an empty home near Shizuku's place, he loves the seaside view.
Apparently there's some jackass causing problems for Yosuga
Azaka thinks it may have been some angry customer he pissed off.
Needless to say they should becareful till the culprit is caught.
Masuhana and Aohito ended up being married in Yomi... wow
they're a thing for real! not just in Riku's route.
There was a survivor of the purple who had been living on some island all this time
but he isn't pleased when he meets Yosuga and is after his life.
Souju is his name and apparently he needs shou for his mother. Aogumi does nothing
but just stands there looking smug. Why the boy could use batsu is a mystery.
Yosuga relies on Akaza and Kuroba to find out why he has this grudge and who is the mother.
Incase anything happens people have been working together to keep an eye out
but they can't get married like this. Douma pops the question what is more important
marrying Olympia or being a leader of yomi, Its difficult but Yomi is like family
and he isn't willing to give up on her either so he's not giving up so easily.
The story didn't feel that draggy didn't have some bonehead causing trouble and stomping off.😒
Tsukuyomi had more presence in this route but he was his same cryptic self.
They find out where the boy lives but I already knew he hung around Shizuku in previous
routes. They go visit her,  she is indeed his mother but appears to bear no ill will.
After Yosuga leaves Olympia for a hot minute, she is approached by Souju
who tells her to stop talking to his mom and basically puts a lot of blame on Yosuga.
Souju would have him atone but lemme be real this kid is acting like such a brat
like who asked?! Olympia tries to tell him he's got it all wrong
and then she remembers how much guilt Yosuga was carrying.
Souju doesn't believe it and just runs off. At night Douma dropped a little bomb
like what if Olympia had been male? she'd still have been gotten the same shou.
Ahahah well I suppose Nathan can seem like a male olympia but with red eyes
wait what if he's her and Akaza's child from another dimension. Nah I am overthinking it.💀
Now on to Souju, he's of the purple but survived due living on one of the islands
he develops a random grudge on Yosuga needless to say Souju just felt like a lil brat.
Olympia keeps visiting Shizuku to try and figure out what that brat is upset about.
She visited Kanan and Aogumi was there, good news first. They don't seem to get along
and Kanan jokingly got it out of him that Aogumi has no interest in Olympia he prefers the blue.
As for Kanan being single its because there's no one suitable and the one that is was too young
since Aogumo started insulting them when he brought up Nagusa.
Olympia gets feisty but Kanan held her back but more so since he doesn't want her
to get in trouble and honestly I want to slap the smug from Aogumo's face
because this shitface doesn't stop. Olympia had enough as well... god.
Later Shura tells Olympia to be careful with the secrets of Shizuku as
this woman carries a lot of pain with her. Shura is acquanted with her.
I recalled Shizuku randomly mentioned she was an Umazume in another route
and the term is related to people who can't get children and on tenguu island
such woman would be generally considered worthless, regardless of how pretty they are.
Olympia decides to support Shizuku and other women like her because only she can.
This route's issue is similar to Yosuga's problem in the OG. He was forbidden
from marrying and now his sequel route deals with a sterile woman
who has had to make some difficult decisions.
When Olympia visited Shizuku again, Daifuku was sleeping so peacefully
she thought he was dead..... as if and then Mukorogi joined in.
Shizuku doesn't go out much or meet other people due to being afraid of contracting haku
and her weak body. While there they check up on Nathan and they get cozy later that night.
The next day Aogumo and Souju are waiting for them and the former is being a big jerk
and wants to get a white shou from Tennyo. Soujo grabs closer and whispers to her
to play along, so she does and Daifuku sneaked off.
She's forced to go back to the island, there Daifuku and Tsukuyomi show up.
Aogumo is surprised pikachu face when he sees them with her.
Back with Yosuga, Aogumi wants her to hand it over and when Tsukuyomi asks
what he is going to do with it, its to eat it. Aogumi believes he will attain its powers.
What he is really after is the power of batsu. Tsukuyomi taunts him to just go eat it
because the moment he does his life is forfeit. When Aogumi is enraged Souju tackles him
and runs off with it. Tsukuyomi peaces out and leaves them both to uh solve this.
Yosuga says that the eating shou thing comes from a really old rumor
where the one who eats it gains its strength. Olympia went to explain
what happened to Shizuku who can barely belief what her adopted son did.
Then she explains how she came to adopt him and finally was able to have
a kid of her own, she did once give birth but it wasn't a desired result
and she has been seeing herself as a fail-woman every since.
Olympia meets back up with Yosuga but they didn't find them yet...
nothing to worry about its only a matter of time. Next day Olympia picks up Shizuku
and they go to yomi together. Seeing the people live there with less than pretty colours
is eye opening for her. Her kids could've lived there. She laments having done what she did...
Himuka seems to have catched on and is only kind to her. Seeing that people here
live completely normal lives really makes her regret not giving her children that chance.
Yosuga said doing this to her is punishment enough, like clockwork
Hairi rounded up the brat and they reunite him with Shizuku.
She's still grateful for what Olympia has done for her, its been eye-opening.
Right now things were peaceful enough they went on a little date.
Kuroba lectured Sojou and tells him to find what he wants to do in the future
instead of moping around about the condition of his adopted mother.
Because there isn't much Kuroba can do either way.
He already researched the shou but its too risky to do anything with it
Tsukuyomi was being cryptic as per usual but its all in their hands.💀
I kinda dozed off around this part but I wondered what happened to Aogumo.
Kanan wondered when her wedding day was gonna be but Olympia brushed him off.
Then Aogumo is being his usual self, shit talking Yosuga and yomi in general
why haven't they arrested him yet? ah right he hasn't technically done anything---
Yosuga ends up punching Aogumo, AWW YEA! WOOOOOO~~ GO, YOSUGA!! GO!
He gently persuades him on the consequenses of potentially hurting anyone from now on.
Literally me right now.
After that Aogumo skedaddles off... never heard from again. (God I wish...)
Shizuku wants to convince Sojou she is fine now even if its a lie since she knows
some things can't be cured and she has been saved enough
so she urges Olympia to give Sujou the handpicked flowers.
Daifuku has been trying to cheer Sojou up and at first he's like cu-- no get away!
its slow but he has warmed up to the little mouse. Now he's wide open.
Akaza and Yosuga brought some cookies with it came a letter, Sojou says his mom
is acting strange so they have to hurry because Aogumo is involved.
They say he is still inside her house and they heard no fighting...
they keep following them when they go out. Sojou realizes she didn't
want that shou so Yosuga says she just wanted him to be happy.
He says things will get ugly soon so Sojou should stay behind.
Aogumo drew his blade and threatens him if he uses batsu then he will kill his mother.
Just as he tries to order Sojou to use batsu on Yosuga, Aogumo falls.
Turns out Shizuku poisoned him and she was waiting for it.
Oh well guess she isn't that much of a fail-woman LMAO.
Its not deadly but he will be immobile for a while.💀
Shizuku tells him to be a good leader of the purple and to fulfill her last wish
and then she attempts to drag Aogumi down with him but not before
Sojou tries to ask her to stay at his side. Everyone tries to convince her
but its Yosuga who says they can both live in Yomi from now on because
it doesn't matter if they're not related by blood to be considered family.
All's well that ends well... its finally over. Wait no not before Sojou
and Yosuga have a heart to heart as fellow purples. Just then the ocean
lights up and its the special seashells that glow in the dark.
At the very least the thing he always wanted to show Olympia has come true.
Shura formally invited Shizuku to the school for women and Olympia delivered that news.
Asuha passed his exam and everything is going well, no big speeches but they're happy.
In the epilogue its finally time... for Olympia and Yosuga's wedding.
Sojou and Shizuku gift him a bouquet and he is very happy to accept it.
As per usual they spend their wedding night on tennyo island. UwUb.
Sad end: Sojou loses his shit and uses batsu on Aogumi but Olympia
gets hit instead and gets petrified. Yosuga grabs Olympia, does a peace sign
says he will take her back to tennyo island and leaves. There he dumps
her into ikimizu spring and hopes for the best. Aww that was rather sad.
Bad end: Sojou attempts to do the same thing but Riku tells him not to
and for whatever reason Sojou is the one who turns into crystal. Olympia remembers
what she did to Douma, Shizuku can't bear to see Sojou like that and embraces him.
The others can't do anything but watch as they both turn to crystal. Okay bye.
As per usual the short story was sweet so that makes up for the drama above.
Half the route felt like it flew by but it had quite a bit of content. I am deceased.
Didn't think Sojou was as annoying as Baraku, just bratty. Olympia and everyone
worked hard to resolve the problem so that they can have their wedding in peace.
After three routes that's a good way to sum up this game tbh.
If there's any character I hate in this game its Aogumo. Never thought I'd say it
but Kanan is mostly harmless. The orange has fully redeemed itself.😂
Romance... there wasn't much but it started with a bang, I was drowned in plot for the
remainder of the route.💀💀💀 Tho the conclusion to some events was very satisfying.
However what bothered me is that the endings of all route are quite similar to one another
like okay their wedding happens and then they go on a honeymoon to tennyo...
I figure this is going to be the same for the other 3. I mean some character tidbits
are different but it generally plays out exactly the same.
Route rating: 8/10

Kuroba.
CV: Sugita Tomokazu.
I kinda want to do Akaza by now but Kuroba has to be a gatekeeper.😫
Wondered what the drama would be about this time but I hope it didn't involve a bonehead.
Much like Yosuga it started off with a bang, the CG got me coughing. WEW~
Things have been going fairly well with Yuusuge as well, she is still struggling.
Kuroba being the next leader of the yellow seems to be the drama...
but he also is a doctor and he wants to perfect the medicine for Haku.
Douma ends up being a bitch for no reason and their future looked bleak.
Chigaya tried to cheer Olympia up but man... Daddy Douma why u like this?!
starting to think he did this on purpose so Kuroba got his shit together as leader.
Olympia ran into Nagusa and through that got into a conversation with Tsuwabuki
of the yellow, she is friendly and wants to try do something for the island
like become the leader of the yellow. She admirers Shura and knows it won't be easy
but she is full of hopes and dreams. Kanan overheard it and is his usual self.
Nathan is looking for place to stay, besides the sea would be great
well we already know where that is! he also gets people gossiping again.
Nagusa was kinda annoying this route as if he didn't get the memo.
Olympia just laughs when he said that he is most fitting for her.
When he sees Kuroba approach he can't help but grit his teeth.
SOMEONE didn't get the memo last time...
Anyway I hoped Nagusa isn't the antagonist again but Aogumo was surprisingly absent.
Olympia and Chigaya end up going to tennyo island. Olympia dives into the spring and ends up
seeing a part of the past of how her mom died. Due this Douma has second thoughts
of letting Kuroba be Olympia's husband. When she got back Aogumo made his appearance
well you little shit I already know you're up to no good! no need to play nice.
Nagusa has no chance but makes his time, sigh... someone help him
because Olympia's feelings haven't changed. The boys had some test of courage
so they checked out the small island when they get back Douma seems to have
an announcement of who will follow up as the next leader of the yellow.
Tokisada says Nagusa might also be a candidate which is preposterous.
Himuka says an unfit leader isn't going to last long so there's nothing to worry about.
Douma starts by saying he has been covering up the previous leader mishaps
as well as his next in line being alive. That it took tokijikutan ne which
changed his appearance and that he is the most fitting to be the next leader.
Douma basically forces Kuroba to into the position and Nagusa doesn't accept it.
Douma then asks what the other leader thinks. Shura says Riku is her pick for the blue
and Jigen also has decided but doesn't name drop them. Some people are overjoyed
its Kuroba since he's engaged to Olympia. Himuka agrees with Douma as well
and he sees everyone as friends so he wants to work together with them too.
Some drama happens and Asuha is suffering cuz of it, we already know
he's studying to pass his exam and he wants to become a doctor like Kuroba.
Despite everything Olympia treats Kuroba like she always has
which leads him to kiss her hand like he's some prince. UwUb.
Felt like Kuroba slowly accepted the situation even that of his peers, as to his own
he would have liked to do continue doing what he wants as a black, not a yellow.
He's grateful Olympia hasn't abandoned his pathetic ass.
Nagusa seems to be frustrated at the current state of affairs, he tries to use Kanan
to turn the tides but he is quite reasonable and says he has no chance
so Kanan just says uh good luck with that. Nagusa is so delusional its funny😅
Asuha was being a brat so Hairi set him straight because he's his friend.
They decide Kuroba needs some asskicking so they plan an assault since they might
have a chance if he's drunk needless to say they're a few years too young.
Turns out Yosuga was a traitor and overheard them, RiP the keikaku.
Asuha tells him that Kuroba's been a role model for him, he's studying hard
cuz he respects him especially as a fellow black but then he heard the truth
that he's a yellow and started to resent him a little. Akaza interjects and says
some things are still the way they are but they are trying their best to change it.
Asuha now seeems convinced and will continue to study hard.
Himuka wonders from this if Kuroba has found the resolve yet
and he doesn't but he might still give it a go.
The rumor mill keeps spinning and tries to ship Olympia with Nathan but what else is new?
Nagusa tries to smear on Kuroba but it takes one line for him to fall into a panic.
Nathan pops the question that is if people could leave here, how would they live?
either way it seems he's just researching stuff about the island and doesn't really do much.
Tsuwabuki is doing fine as well, she and some other girls all go to the school Shura set up.
Doesn't seem like there was much going on, but then Riku brings the news there's
been an outbreak in the yellow district and tells everyone to not to go out right now.
Akaza and Douma try to save as many as they can and Olympia joins them.
Chigaya tells her not to involve herself but Kuroba thinks he already has it figured out.
Nagusa tries to use this to his advantages going as far as saying that its Hiruko's wrath
which makes Himuka speak up but Akaza interrupts them so they all have an emergency meeting.
They find out someone distributed something through the water supply.
Tokisada realizes what was used is similar to a flower native in the green district.
Either way Nagusa refuses to get the memo and tries to stir the pot.
Yuusuge of all people ends up speaking up and defends Kuroba while
explaining her situation and that this could happen to anyone.
They ended up revealing someone fucked with the water supply
and its not Hiruko's wrath at all. Douma says this was simply an accident
and tries to keep it underwraps without it turning into a blame game.
Nagusa gets dragged to the kotowari and Akaza gently persuases him
well he wasn't being nice about it but he is really adamant to get his point across.
Yosuga enters the chat for some added pressure on pinwheel-kun.
Nagusa runs off, Kuroba and Olympia finally have some time for eachother but it isn't long
before Nagusa tried something and Olympia ends up rushing into a carriage
and is taken to the northern beach. Kaina was knocked out and brought as well.
It isn't long before Kuroba arrives, Nagusa tries to use the poison he used
on the yellow district to get rid of him. Kuroba and Kaina seized the moment
and for one last time tries to tell Nagusa to cut the crap but he's just so butthurt
over well literally everything. All Kuroba does is apologize and tries
to convince him that things will change, in a kind and mature way.
Even saying there might be a way for Nagusa to help and asking for his opinion
since he is afterall the next leader of the jade. He calms out and apparently
Kanan betrayed him, makes sense since he refused to help him earlier.
Well whatever Nagusa ends up being pacified, he will do no further harm and learn
to think on how to move forward. Even his vassals say they have faith in him
but they have otherwise betrayed him.💀 Even so Nagusa still despises Kuroba.
Wait that means nothing has changed? or has it?! *confused Daifuku noises*
Later Kuroba announces the stuff about him as true and fact checked so he
will move forward in the footsteps of Douma as the next leader of the yellow.
As well as the fact they will be celebrating Olympia's wedding soon.
Asuha has also passed his exam so uh all is well that ends well.
After the wedding ceremony, Hiruko also approved of him as a leader.
Kuroba was mildly surprised but Himuka only reveals this who he trusts.
Now all that is left is to great the rest of the people at the plaza.
Yuusuge and Tsuwabuki have become pretty much friends and they will
both do their hardest to pursue their dreams too. They go celebrate
their honeymoon on tennyo island like in every other route.
Bad end 1: Kuroba disappears for a bit and then shows up on Olympia's doorstep
mumbling the worst over and over again. Seems like he just gave up on everything
after coming to a conclusion it wasn't worth it. Olympia decides to take him to tennyo island
and they have uh a good time, if you consider this good its kinda subjective.
Bad end 2: Aogumo sneaks up like a spider on Olympia when she was at the pier
and drags her off elsewhere for a chat on the beach and then stabs her with a poisoned knife.
He was so absent from the main route this is so random, on the title screen he yaps
that he doesn't want her to forget him well uh I will certainly not forget what an ass you were.
As per usual the side story was cute but they're kinda like an extended epilogue
a sweet moment before he has to go back to tenguu island.
On one hand I like it on the other hand I am like... meh.
I didn't dislike it mostly because much like Riku's route, it was actually about Kuroba.
Its just that the stakes were low since they ended up using Nagusa....
I didn't fully buy it that they tried to make him the bad guy again when that
creepy spider is obviously the real trouble maker.💀
Feels like he was forgotten in this route when he is in fact the main antagonist
but then that bad end made the route remember him and I am like, whomst?!
Due to that idk how to rate this route like the hell? why is Nagusa being a drama queen?!
most of the drama felt like it was a non issue but someone didn't get the memo.😒
Kuroba route rating: 7.5/10
~

Himuka.
CV: Horie Shun.
We're up to the final gatekeeper of our lord Akaza.👺
Idk what to expect anymore but it starts with Himuka yapping to himself
about Susanoo looking similar to Akaza and that he is trying his best for that's his duty.
Things are mostly just peachy... Hairi was being extra tsundere for some reason.
Aogumo is back to being a jerk right from the start, this is gonna be good! not.
Himuka seems motivated to give it his all from now on and I think
he has benefit much more from having his route extended.
They decide early that they will have their wedding on her next birthday.
The route seems focused on Himuka's internal turmoil, he's trying too hard
at the very least Akaza seems to realize and tries to relief some of his burdens.
He helps to add some perspective to it. Himuka seems to be curious about Aogumo.
The route had a lot of SoL but not much of note happened, its just that it felt like I flew
through half the chapters. Likely because I wasn't interested in SoL problem solving anymore.
Himuka really wants to take the next best step for the islands so he inquiried with everyone.
Aogumi was an asshole again but what else is new? and pretty much discriminates
Himuka for even considering Olympia as his bride to be. Random crap happens
and they deal with it best they can. They all agree that Aogumo is cause for concern
so they will confront him. Himuka still suffers from grief of not being able to save
those two people back in the original game so he leans on Olympia for a bit like a fish.
Nagusa didn't stay in his lane and tries to get Olympia to get engaged with him
likely because of Aogumo's influence but Olympia just declines him politely.
Even Daifuku was visible upset... this route had a lot of repetitive scenes
with minor characters but I suppose its relevant Tsuwabuki wants to be a leader.
Everyone tries their best to solve the situation... but things get worse
when a woman named Odamaki is set to be engaged to Aogumi.
She's deadly afraid of him and everyone noticed it. Aogumi tries to be nice
but Olympia speaks up for her because this isn't how you treat someone.
All he cares about is marrying her for a child, after he left she broke down.
Odamaki doesn't even want to live anymore but Himuka tries to encourage her and her friend.
Sojou didn't like them butting in so he tried to warn them. They delivered
some more bread to Nathan that he had claimed to like, as it tastes like something he knew.
Seems he also has trouble sleeping at night and has unsettling dreams.
Well Odamaki seems to be doing better but then Aogumi appears
and attempts suicide, Olympia saved her but Sakyo gets really angry
when he gets to the scene and says Aogumi should take a step back.
Baraku ended up helping so he got all tsun about it and stomps off.
Needless to say Olympia should take a checkup too so Yosuga takes her back.
Akaza praised and reprimanded Olympia at the same time.💀💀💀
Hairi fell asleep on da beech and got all tsundere about it when Olympia checked up on him.
Things calmed down and Nathan seems to have remembered something, a song
or more like a poem. He wanted to go back but now he can't
then he goes on about forgiveness and something changed.
Nathan seems to have specific hatred toward a mother and a father.
Both Himuka and Mukorogi calmed him down. Nathan seems to be aware
that he wasn't himself or that there is someone else within him.
Himuka takes care of him and tells Olympia to go to Kuroba for now.
Later they decide to take better care of Hairi who has been acting strange.
Well Hairi was fine but a wild Aogumo appeared starts demanding Olympia and Nathan
to comply to his wishes. Himuka eventually has enough and tells him to fuck off.
The gloves are off and he's prepared to use batsu on him. Aogumo just runs away.
:O
Himuka ended up motorboarding Olympia in the shack nearby. 😳
People have been laying more flowers near the monument
but Aogumo hasn't learned and stokes a fire. He felt the need to tell Kaina
who executed his girlfriend, aka Hairi and this started the next round of drama.
Olympia says its okay and he's not at fault for his previous occupation.
Hairi then says its been enough and he's quitting his current job at the kotowari.
Kaina doesn't even blame him but Hairi doesn't seem to mind if he does.
Sakyo walkes in and is like: A ruckus? infront of my hospital?!
Kaina says Aogumo is despicable to which he just looks at him with smug.
Daifuku ends up scaring the shit out of Aogumo, a small but heroic effort.
Daifuku is the hero we all need.
Kaina complimented him for a job well done. Anyway thanks to the shitlord Aogumo
Hairi goes emo and thinking he has no right to be happy but he still wants the best
for his buddy Asuha so he asks Olympia and Himuka to erase him with their powers.
Though they say there's no reason for this. Hairi is so deadset on wanting to be a scapegoat
but Himuka says this isn't his real wish. That he wants to live&suffer like everyone else.
Himuka tries to give him hope but Hairi just runs off... Kaina bumps into him
and gives Hairi a dango. Hairi is stumped so Kaina says he got no hard feelings, since
he already blames himself and there's no reason for him to blame anyone else.
Hairi runs off again. Meanwhile Himuka is turning into Wuk Lamat.
Kanan's being a bit of a jerk here but Himuka through talk-no-jutsu convinces him.
Because in the end its his duty to decide where or not to erase him.
A wild Nathanael appeared and he has a feeling he might remember more
if he returns to someplace on the way there Himuka makes it clear where he stands
but not like he was trying anything. Oh... people apparently come to this world
when they have strong feelings when they die or so Himuka believes
so Nathan believes it as well. Okay well that actually make sense.
Kanan ends up tagging along after much ado, Hairi went missing
so they go to potential hiding places. Kanan sees Himuka's shack and the first thing
he says the heck is this dump? well nice and cozy dump if I may add! 😂
Hairi and Aogumo show themselves and Kanan just shoots the commander
he didn't hit anything vital, a shame. Kanan has so much dirt on him
that Aogumo has no place on the island to which he retaliates and injures him.
Kanan keeps taunting Aogumo who seems dead set shipping Olympia with Nathan
that he forgets key facts. Hés 26 yet still hasn't married. Hairi seizes the moment
and just knocks Aogumo off balance so he can erase him, something he'd swore of using.
Himuka stops him because he sees himself as his guardian. Kanan just shoots Aogumo again.
Kanan is the only one with a brain saying they shouldn't forget what he did
and Olympia loses the last few braincells she had and jumps between them because
killing is bad, Aogumi begs Hairi to use his power on him cuz that's what its for right?
Aogumo gets the chance to drop his sobstory and well he's just another victim
of the islands shitty traditions. He eventually collapses from his injuries
and Hairi says he will get Kuroba just for him so he rushes off.
Himuka asks him again what he truly wishes for and vows they will change the island.
Riku is furious over what transpired and Kuroba tries to calm him down.
All's well that ends well Asuha passed his exam. Things go back to normal
and Himuka just sweeps the shit that happened in his shack under the rug.
Himuka just embraces Hairi showing how much he is loved since they're friends
and he gets all like friends don't hug eachother! Turns out he did like it
when he was able to work at Kotowari when he got back from his exile
that feel of starting over made him think it was possible but then the shit
with Aogumo happened and he just started to lose hope to the point
that disappearing sounds like a better idea. Well that doesn't matter
he has a place with everyone now. In the epilogue they finally have their
wedding but they felt the need to infodump a bunch of stuff about the islands
origins before the wedding ceremony as well as him addressing the audience
which was in character since he is afterall Hiruko, due this it was slightly longer.
They run into Aogumo who has somewhat mellowed out but
not sure how I feel about him just being out and about.
After Olympia left Aogumo was like: that... white... mouse.
Sigh always plotting and scheming things will never change!
Either way they two of them married and uh banged on tennyo island.
The final scene in the epilogue was really nice and I felt about as satisfied as with Riku.
Bad end 1: Hairi ends up covering Olympia and suffers a grievous wound from Aogumo.
This was likely the only bad end where I was like oh no they didn't... but they did.
Hairi succumbs to his wounds and just knows help won't arrive soon enough.
Himuka tries to encourage him but he's already admit he's done for.
For some reason he also liked Byakuya all this time... he was just tsun about it.
The message on the title screen just made it worse... omg.💀💀💀
I've never really disliked Hairi not even in the original perhaps that is why I felt sad.😭
Bad end 2: Aogumi ends up catching Himuka off-guard and murders him.
For some reason he leaves Olympia be, so I thought this felt a bit forced
and it only made me dislike Aogumi, thanks I guess.
The bonus story was nice as per usual, good to wash the above stain away.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Himuka definitely benefit from the sequel but I found  they may've tried
to tackle too many things at once, its also a bit repetitive.
Aogumo definitely was the main antagonist but OS loves to go SoL
so the things I was wondering  about seemed to be put on a backburner
so I couldn't set my expectations right.
There was focus on Aogumo, some on Hairi, Nathan and Shizuka...  due this
it simply felt all over the place. Although I liked watching them trying to find
the best solution to the situation which made me joke that Himuka is like Wuk Lamat.
This vn's theme is healing and forgiveness but those who love ultra violence, pls do
look forward to the Akaza route!😉  The parts with Nathan felt like it was setting me up
for things that is never going to be touched upon (atleast not here) leaving me annoyed.
I also didn't like how they felt the need to info dump in the middle of
the wedding like OMG, time and place? ALSO one of the bad ends made
me wish there was a route for Hairi but its unlikely that will ever happen
which made a bad ending all the more painful to remember that it happened.💀
Himuka route rating: 7.9/10
~

Akaza.
CV: Matsuoka Yoshitsugu.
Its been 48 years but its finally time...! and it will take 48 more years to clear the route.💀
Things seem peachy but then Nagusa tries to smear Akaza and get
Olympia to dump him but she has none of it. What a lovely start.
Nathan doesn't seem to be stupid, well except that one time Kuroba
thought he was and sees that Akaza cares a great deal about Olympia.
There wasn't much going on in the beginning but Kanan tried to interview Nathan
so they plan a meeting for later. As we know from Himuka's route
there seems to be something within Nathan and he already senses it.
Strangely enough this managed to give me unsettling vibes...
While doing the interview he notices an a butterfly shaped accessory
then he points to Tokisada's katana as the next point of interest.
He's been drawn to things he thinks will help him figure out who he is.
He doesn't seem to like weapons but he'd like for Tokisada to try and use it
just to see if it stirs something and then he falls into a panic
saying he won't go back, he just wants to live quietly.
Then he becomes unable to forgive people... till Kanan slams his fist on the table.
They both leave after that, seems like Nathan got a lot of baggage.
Akaza really tries to get it through to people the importance of life
and why they're making changes that only improve their QoL.
Aogumo tries to pull his usual shtick so they gotta prove he's not a white.
Rikuu felt the need to reveal he's a hazushii to us, to have that truth end effect.
Tho a bit conflicted he's confident they will bring needed change and no matter
what he's Akaza's friend, he already knew. They end up sparring a bit like in the past.
After they get back the two of them end up making out--- by the two of them
I mean Akaza and Olympia of course. *Insert Akaza moaning here*. Pegi 18.
They think Nathan might be connected to Izanami in some way but
the name doesn't ring a bell for him but he'd still like to know more.
They visited Tennyo and Akaza tried to call out to susanoo but the waves didn't respond.💀
Tsukuyomi seems to have realized and finds this problematic.
Speaking of realizations I started to notice how the characters barely refer to Aogumo
by that name so instead its Jun'i. Seeing what the kanji means I think its a bit
of a dumb joke or maybe its just me. Like hey officer weird face you're making there!
I can be a bit slow but atleast the joke wasn't lost on me before I finished.
Nathan ends up visting Tsukuyomi's cave because he's curious about the Izanami allegations.
Tsukuyomi tells them clearly the man is not a white so there's no need to worry
oh god if only they just did this in all the other routes that would defeat the rumors
and give officer-kun less ammo.😥Anyway Tsukuyomi continues being cryptic
but Nathan will remember that curses and blessings are two sides of the same coin.
Mukorogi has been with Nathan since he woke up but he'd like to leave him
with the other mouses to which Yosuga finds no issues with.
Olympia is like hold up but what about what Mukorogi wants?
Nathan is uncertain he could stay here so he was thinking ahead but maybe
that is rushing things so everyone thinks he should apply for a job and settle in.
Tokisada agrees there is no need to rush things. Then starts being poetic.
Then he starts being more familiar with everyones likes and then he asks about their mothers.
Olympia is the last... so a lot of them are shocked to hear about it.
Nathan's mood drops because of it and starts saying he can't forgive things
and asks why Olympia doesn't curse the world for what was taken from her.
Some of them start to figure he's the white's great ancestor and that Nathan has
switched his personality but back on track Olympia simply has too much
to hold dear to go and curse everyone for it. Nathan snaps out of it again
and he wishes to understand that whatever speaks within him.
So they explain it as someone who's held a grudge and doesn't forgive people.
When they go to the cave where outsiders get their shou he switches again
so Kuroba knocks him out and get back to town. Then he wakes up screaming mother.
Though he says its okay and knows they're worried he'd like to be alone now.
Sakyou seems to be a bit on edge but needless to say he looks forward
to their mingling. Ah yes because Akaza's momma was a haku so that means
they share a bloodline. Kinda wincest but also not directly.
Well Sakyou is a blue... you know what they did, what they had to do. :clown:
Jun'i seems to  look forward to the potential colour of Nathan's child
because some woman seem interested. Not that Nathan seemed interested in that...
but Jun'i gonna stir the pot I guess. Wait oh no I keep calling Aogumo Jun'i now.💀
Things are mostly calm, they ask Mukorogi to come along for a bit
then with Camelias translations she finds out Aki has been acting strange.
He said thanks to you I returned to this island... and that he seems different.
Mukorogi says that its not his master, he would know since  he's been at his side.
Camelia says they should ask Tsukuyomi about this but he doesn't know.💀💀💀
Yosuga says to not lie or hold back any information but that's what Tsukuyomi does best.💀
Himuka yells at the sea and ask Susanoo to answer but he doesn't, he then reveals
that Susanoo is like the guardian of the seas so someone like Aki coming through
has bothered him because its rare for outsiders to appear. They can't help but think
Izanami is somehow involved because there's no other entity that could hate the island.
Something similar to Kuroba's route happens and there's an outbreak so they try
to act appropriately, Olympia gets a permit to move around cuz she asked.
Tsukuyomi is being his cryptic self and is still testing them but no matter
the time all will be clear is coming. Anyway Olympia goes to Tennyo
and talks about her feelings at ikimizu spring and steels herself.
She also had a heart to heart with Douma when she leaves she runs into Jun'i
who just accuses her but what else is new. Douma ends up dismissing them
and thanks to Tokisada's input shuts down Jun'i' and they bring him to Hiruko
just so he can here that the current situation is not his wrath.
So uh word seems to spread fast that someone was able to go in, Jun'i no less.
This all goes according to plan and relieved some of the townsfolks spirits.
People start dropping like flies including Jigen. Douma suspects its an illness
from beyond this island. Unfortunatly this segment felt extremely padded.
Either way they work it out but there was a panic so it didn't feel like they got anywhere.
The entire island deteriorates, flowers wither people get illness its like
the island is becoming unsuitable for life. They all suspect Nathanael.
Weird butterflies start to appear that seem to burn away the remaining flowers
at Shizuku's residence. They close in to Nathan's shack which is swarming with butterflies.
Nathan seems like he usual is... no progress is made and they don't know how to stop
the island to falling into ruin. Where is Tsukuyomi and why isn't he helping?! ARGH.
Himuka realizes there might be a way to resolve it if he uses his powers to erase Kagutsuchi
but it might come at a cost. They decide to act tomorrow before the situation gets any worse
sadly it seems Akaza got hit with the illness but he tries to be strong.
Instead of doing something they end up turning it into a yap fest with Kaina
being so impressed over Akaza's endurance so he will do his best at well.
As they close in on Nathan's shack Hinageshi brings us a revelation.
Remember Hinageshi? me neither anyway it was that chick who was forced to believe
Akaza was the perfect match for her, now she realized she finally understood what love is.
then she proclaims her love to the one who lives here. My mind is blown
but Kanan doesn't seem impressed. Akaza is like do you know who I am?
then goes on how she figured all this out because of Nathan.
Kanan tells her to shut the fuck up and I am like same. She throws a hissy fit
and Kanan together with Akaza decide to get her out of here. When they get to Nathan
its him that has been cursing the island because he thinks they're better off like this.
They can't seem to do anything at the moment...  Olympia conveniently remembers
things Tsukuyomi said and maybe Izanami's crown is they key to stopping the curse.
The thing is called Ame no Ohabari which supposedly took care of Kagutsuchi.
They need a way to deal with the curse and this may be the only way.
Anyway they make out before they rest for the night but before Akaza
goes Olympia glomped him from behind. R.i.P CG drought.
People drop like flies and Nagusa gets feisty but Kanan keeps him incheck
they really gotta act now since most of the leaders got hit with the illness.
People panic and think they should kill Nathan, everyone tries to calm them down.
Strangely enough Nathan seems to accept his fate which pretty much confirms
he is Kagutsuchi but since he met Mukorogi he developed his own personality.
He basically he resented he was killed way back but his wish brought him back here
or so Himuka concluded in his own route. His home goes up in flames but tells
Susanoo aka Akaza he will await him on the small island which has turned
into a volcano due to him being a literal fire god. While everyone is trying to think
the townsfolk are being annoying and they beg Akaza next in line for help
so he ask to not rely on fire till he gets back from the small island, Iwai. Most of the
gang will come along but before that why not have snack time at Yosuga's inn?😒
Tsukuyomi ends up calling out to Susanoo and for some reason it works now.
You know I am starting to suspect this jerk knew what to do all along but he just
withheld information, bet he was even cracking up about in his cave.💀
Akaza gets trapped into a bubble and Susanoo possesses him
but not in a malevolent way or anything, like they share his body.
Tsukuyomi says they can trust him and SUsanoo tells Olympia to shut up.
Inside the cavern, they run into various woman who have been struck lovesick
by the mysterious butterflies and seem to defend Kagutsuchi.
Kuroba ends up taking care of the ladies which is very in character of him
and then fistbumps Akaza as to say ''leave it to me''.
Yea Kuroba's a friend to ALL the woman on the island afterall...
Baraku and Jun'i seem to stand in their way as well but they're being controlled as well
and its not long before Kagutsuchi shows his face, who regained his original form.
During the fighting Olympia got separated by the flames, everyone struggles
till their dying breath, it got to the point I wondered if I was playing the same game.
Like they got Virche's writer and let them go wild for a hot minute because
suffering builds character amirite, it wasn't fun. It seemed like it would never end
and I thought it was about to end hours ago, what are we doing here?
Riku almost dies but Himuka won't let him and then he uses his power save his conciousness???
and then also powers up Akaza's sword so it  can slay Kagutsuchi.
Even so Himuka still tries to convince him because there's no going back.
It turns into as shounen anime were everyone makes sacrifices to give the MC a power up
but then it remembered it was an otome game so in the right moment Olympia wished
hard enough and sended herself with Kagutsuchi to another dimension.
She performs a ritual dance to turn his curse into a blessing. Her prayer is for him to no longer curse.
Kagutsuchi was somehow convinced and Nathan came back to say farewell.
He was grateful for spending the short time they had together.
Olympia teleports back and a bunch of people arrive to help carry back the injured.
Nagusa thought Riku and Akaza were dead but Tsukuyomi confirmed otherwise.
Riku can't believe he almost died and me neither... a lot happened
but on the scorched beach now lies a sprouting seed of peach tree no,2.
Then the POV switches to somewhere far away, to a person called Aki with a cute mascot.
He's talking to a person over a story featuring a mysterious island and a girl
with beautiful white hair. A girl approaches them which is actually the one who sends
the bottled messages, this pretty much confirms Aki is now in present day japan.
There Aki tells the little girl all about the island and the people he met.
Which despite all the BS an hour prior made for a heartwarming ending.
Aki decides he may want to try writing a letter to a certain girl...
he says he might harbor feelings of affection for her even.💀 In the epilogue they
finally get married but they also find a letter drifted ashore which is from Aki.
He hopes they're well cuz he's in tokyo and has been trying out all sorts of things, he hopes
they're well and happy. He's also known as Akihito now. Like always they bang on tennyo island.
After that they dive in the water which is accompanied with a pretty CG.
Bad ending: Something went wrong when trying to wish and she had the wrong feelings
so they all end up cursed and it ends up being some weird 3p ending, wtf ew.😨
Bad ending 2: Olympia decides to pay Nathan a visit by herself when his house
was shrouded by butterflies. She ends up being possessed and shown a lovely dream
well I guess this is what all those ladies saw who were so infatuated with Nathan. I suppose
this could be a subjective end... but it also means the rest of the island burns to a crisp.
Both Aki and Olympia are stuck in a dream. In reality Kagutsuchi says she must be
having a terribly boring dream. What a bad night to pay someone a visit.
The short story was cute indeed, after you read all the letters there's an extra epilogue
when you go back to the main menu, in which the peach tree that sprouted on the beach
(not same one next to olympia's house) has fully grown. Two kids are seen tending it
along with grandpa Tsukuyomi watching over them. It seems Kagutsuchi awoke
but it has been sometime since that battle happen. He's become tree. Julliet and Mukorogi
seems to have had a baby too maybe next time they will bring Akaza along.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well its been 48 years my beloved aside... its felt like they were padding this route quite a bit.
While it definitely focused more on Nathan it was too slowburn for me and it had no
short amount of problems. The characters are definitely competent and they tried their best
but unfortunately I got a sickening feeling in the finale and I think they went too far, I had
to check if I wasn't playing some other otome game by virche's writer or something.💀
Due all that this wasn't my favorite route as it just overstayed its welcome
but I have no hard feelings because the ending was enjoyable
its just the experience was a bit of a mixed bag.
Olympia Soiree was mostly a fantasy SoL, there's drama sure but it was never
focused on swordfighting especially not the 70 hours prior to this route.
The tonal shift reminded me of Enchante except that it didn't forget what it was
just in time before it did something that could not be reversed.
The experience of that was just unpleasant for me.
Akaza route rating: 7.7/10.
~

My Favorite route:
Riku >Himuka > Yosuga > Akaza > Kuroba > Tokisada.
I'm probably biased but Riku was one the few early route that felt right with plot/romance ratio.
Maybe someone found his route awful but it wasn't me.
Tokisada self-sabotaged himself💀 and in comparison to that Yosuga was fine.😌
Kuroba's route was OK. Himuka's pretty good he needed extra time tbh.
Akaza well... he's the truth route and its good at offering resolution
but I can't rank it higher than Yosuga because the tonal shift was unpleasant.

My Fav character:
Riku💕>Daifuku >Hairi😋>Akaza > Kuroba & Yosuga > Himuka >Tokisada >Kanan >-
-> Baraku > Mokurogi&Nathan > Tsukuyomi >Nagusa > Jun'i💩.
Riku is still my best boy, and I still think Daifuku is the cutest mascot, Hairi is a runner up
beating most other LI's for me. Kuroba & Yosuga are great supports but I think
I prefer Himuka over Tokisada now. Kanan... I loved how much of a wild card he is.
Baraku... I like him but I can't say the same about Nagusa or Aogumo.
Nathan just felt like a nothing burger of a character 85% of the time
but after Akaza's ending I don't hate  him personally or anything.

Final Thoughts.
Game's like an 8/10 but you're a 10/10.

Well.. my favorite LI's route aka Riku did make me happy and glad I bought it!💞
Olympia Soiree Catharsis was advertised with themes as healing
as well as forgiveness and moving on so I don't think the content of
the routes was bad. But i'm somewhat mixed on other routes
such as Tokisada but this might just be because he's not my favorite.
In some routes the NPC drama simply overtaked like its drama o'clock.😫
There was a lot of problem solving perhaps a bit too much? and nonbiri attitude
when there shouldn't be, this was especially the case in Akaza's route
only for it to mood whiplash 180 degrees making me question wtf I was playing.
The sequel definitely had romance and some steamy scenes like the original but this was
80% plot oriented. In terms of volume, definitely not a short and sweet experience
What I liked the most was that they even developed minor characters! they did bring in
some new ones mostly to be a generally annoying problem child (yes, you Baraku).
Souju was a bit of a brat as well but what is sad is outside of the routes they play
a major role in these guys just kinda exist but so did Hairi so its nothing new.
Speaking of Hairi, I love love love him now and he is my son!!!!!!!
Honestly the minor characters that I was most interested in were  Masuhana and Aohito
who had no sprite.😅 Why didn't they give them one... its a shame for Chigaya as well.
Nagusa was mostly pacified except in Kuroba's route because he didn't get the memo there.💀
Kanan is mostly nice? think he lost some of that skin, I find him nicer than that
Jun'i guy who was just a total asshat.😠 Hairi is lovely compared to him.
My favorite bad end ended up being the one with Kanan🍊🍊🍊 in Riku route
because the others just didn't wow'd me except the sad end in Yosuga's route
or that oh no they didn't bad ending in Himuka's route.💀
Don't get me wrong, I liked getting to know some of the new characters
its just maybe the focus was a little too much on them? due that this was a very
plot heavy sequel, as I said there were romantic&steamy moments and some route
started off with a bang but the majority of the time was spend to solve issues
since they couldn't have a wedding when there was a source of unrest.
Poor CG pacing is still a thing but what can you do if there are no good moments for them?
everyone had an equal amount and only Tokisada had 1 CG I thought was bad.
Endings well... everyone got the same treatment, which is good because
I tend to dislike it if there's one LI who... has to eat a sock or so to speak.
The real crime that the writers commited was all this fuss about getting
an offspring and not even showing it having been born. Like that is what
the bonus story could have been for... but instead its a short extension of the ending.💀
The secret epilogue felt like a bandaid to this issue but that is only relevant for Akaza.
8/10
I think if they hadn't wrote the prologue to this game like they did
this game likely wouldn't exist. Its just a narrative choice.
After all this time, its nice Olympia Soiree got its sequel even if I didn't
enjoy all of it, though that's okay. Its okay to look at that otome game
you played and say well I liked guy X the most. It feels better than what
happened with me and Enchante were just the common route was enough.
What else can I say that despite my grievances it had a surprisingly well-rounded
ending in its final route, I got no real hate or curses for this saga.

Not sure what I will play next but i'll check out the Un:logical demo if I feel like it.
