Geten no Hana with Yume Akari - Review (2)

下天の華 夢灯り
Game: [Geten no Hana with Yume Akari Aizouban].
Genre: Otome game Visual Novel.
Developer/Publisher: Ruby Party / Koei Tecmo
Platform: PSP, PS Vita.
Release date: 2016-09-08

I won't be bother to write much since I already said a lot in my review for the first game.
Yume Akari is the sequel to Geten no Hana which continues from the grand finale and since
the individual endings didn't matter I decided to let it rest before going into this
but after four months and a depressing FD I decided its time to finish this!
Like the prequel its not accurate to history to make it an otome game
but they did a good job of sticking to some parts atleast.
 Anyway...
Hotaru continues to serve Mitsuhide and protect Nobunaga from outside threats as the shield of Azuchi.
What is Hotaru's dream? she will surely have one more chance to find it closeby to her.

Pro's
- Plot is okay...
- Every guy is still likeable.
- Art.
- Individual ED themes (though only Hanbei and Kanbei are new)

Con's
- Short, after one play the rest of the routes will fly by.
- Some of the previous guys routes feel like new/alternative versions.
- Annoying card minigame to replace 50% of the battles.

Yume Akari adds two new love interests Hanbei and Kanbei since the new story is centered on them
and here comes the hard truth, without them there would be no sequel.
The two come to investigate the shield of Azuchi while crashing at Hideyoshi's place...
Ok since this is the spoiler free zone that all you will get out of me, this game plot is better found out on your own.
Everyone else gets a route as well but like I explained before everything is reset till a certain point
so for the old guys basically becomes an alternative take...a second chance or so to speak.

There's also this card game thing and well you win by get matching cards...
this is actually to break the mold of having to only do the fighting minigame, its the only way
to get flowers and incense now also unless you want challenge just play on easy
I doubt anyone wants to bother doing it on higher difficulty and waste even more time on it.
Especially on Momoji's route, lol.
The old fighting minigame is still there for story fights but I can't help but question why
the new one is needed for the kusumono(intruder) fights? oh well no use thinking about it.
You can lvl up 3 stats, precog, kunai(more hits) and one that heals your health
by using them in the new minigame, max lvl is 10 but there isn't much use for it unless you
want to play it on higher difficulty which is not difficult just more annoying/time consuming.
The sequel like its prequel is a fairly short game, first play should take anywhere from
8 ~ 10 hours at most which is roughly the same as its prequel, 2nd+ will be done in 4~5 hours.
You can also use incense during conversations with characters, which leads to some 🔥 scenes.

Too be honest I wasn't sure whom's route to do first so I just followed the same playorder as before.
You can't do Nobuyuki on first play not sure about Hanbei but I do not recommend because spoilers.
For first play just go with normal end or someone you're familair with other than that order does not matter.
Personally it would be better to save the new routes for last... unless you are really curious
and can't wait that long till you've done everyone if I had to recommed anything at all please do
Momoji before Hanbei and Mitsuhide before Kanbei this'll be no problem if you save Hanbei and Kanbei for later.

  My play order:
Mitsuhide > Momojiji > Nobuyuki > Hashiba > Ranmaru > Ieyashu > Nobunaga > Hanbei > Kanbei.

For a guide just us Syrup26 and Choro for whatever Keywords you are missing.

In short for those not wanting to scroll down below, I recommend the sequel to Geten no Hana fans
but do not expect a true sequel but an extension of a story that couldn't be told back then.
Most of the original chara are just alternative routes anyway, the new after stories for them were nice though.
The sequel's story is okay but has some hilariously obvious things at times, I mean
who could that bamboo hat man be? he looks awfully familiar. 😕
This game has a lot of common scenes and like I mentioned 2nd+ play will fly by even quicker
than its prequel since there is less to do and stuff, regarding common scenes its honestly
not that different from the average visual novel since somethings will never change.
I still love how most Koei games have their own solution to the predicament at the end
even at Harutoki6 Gentou Rondo I enjoyed that(despite me headdesking at times).
Also remember how I said no one ever actively pursues the heroine in the prequel?
Haha... that didn't last long as it was obv Kanbei was interested in Kikyou(Hotaru)
but don't worry there's a plot reason for this to explain his behavior still while
Kanbei shows his interest, he atleast knows when to back off, so yeah its not bad.
Moving on I thoroughly enjoyed the new characters routes and sadly I think they were the most
worthwhile content? sure it was nice to help Nobuyuki or Ieyashu again or spend time with Ranmaru
but I'd honestly wish for a fandisk and get to see them under more relaxed circumstances.
Its really sad the stars of this game are Hashiba, Hanbei and Kanbei though everyone else did have
an enjoyable route but to me it felt like most of the effort went into the new routes.
For score it gets an  9/10 from me, it gets less points from me due to me getting nostalgic of some
of the routes characters had in the prequel and the new route feeling like an alternative.
Maybe I nagged a little but I really did enjoy it overall... and still recommend this port
because no matter how you look at it the characters and plot are well written.
I'm a little sad its over though, Yume Akari is probably the last entry... and did a good job of making it feel complete.

There's spoilers below, some sections more than others but i'm sure you've
realized you can read the full summary and character background in detail at koei wiki
and so I won't bother to be detailed and will drop things out/ summarize it in my own way if at all.

Getsuei no Kusari -Kyouran Moratorium- - Review

月影の鎖 ―狂爛モラトリアム―
Game: [Getsuei no Kusari -Kyouran Moratorium-]
Genre: Otome Game Visual Novel.
Developer/Publisher: Takuyo.
Platform: PS Vita.
Release date: 2016-12-21

The FD of Getsuei no Kusari Sakuran Paranoia, since the original game was
anything but the typical otome game don't expect a lot of fluff from this.
Its still keeps the serious theme the original had so if you're in the mood
for something realistc/mature these games are an excellent choice but
I do not recommend playing this without the original since its a fandisk.
Nor can I recommend playing both right after the other even if this is short it still can give you
much despair, it didn't bother me but it may others to the point they might drop it.

I didn't particularly care for the OP movie this time, I only like watched it once or twice and then skipped it.
But yeah if you still don't get it, this FD mainly exists for Mamoru and the newly added
scenario for the Toudou brothers you may need new glasses. 😥

This vita port of Kyouran Moratorium really is what you'd call a definitive version
as it adds a new scenario with two guys Toudou Itsuki and Toudou Miyabi, they're brothers
and this made it a bit more worthwhile than the PSP version because of that.
Especially for the price and Takuyo's games tend to be slighly more expensive...
Sadly these two are completely new and don't appear anywhere outside of their own scenario
yeah you read that right they do not even appear in the other newly added IF scenario.
Anyway... the original features of the FD make it seem pretty short, the another stories are
slightly longer than the good afters which are around 30 minutes at most.
Mamoru's route was maybe 5-6 hours so together thats give or take 10 hours.
But if you add in Hanayagi IF story and the Toudou brothers routes....
that would make the length at around 25-30 hours, btw tour of koukashi is just a side dish.
If you have a lot of free time in the weekend you may just finish it very fast but if you
spread it out due to the despair getting to you then yeah it may take you a week or more.
Personally I finished this within 2-4 days...
Also if you actually got this game I really recommend you to end this game with
the tour of koukashi as its the most fun and entertaining thing this fandisc has to offer.
The part where Hibiki went on about the Dango got to me... 😂😂😂

Despite the added content it was still a short FD but after Ken ga Kimi Momoyo Tsuzuri
any other fandisk in general is short.😂
The seiyuu did a good job especially Naruse Makoto, thats one you do not hear often
and also Kanna Nobutoshi and Satou Takuya... they also had such a good performance!

TL;DR
I recommend this if you enjoyed the original, don't bother if you didn't since its more of the same.
It gets an 8/10 from me, same score as I gave the original, all of the good afters
were great and the another stories weren't bad except maybe Satoya's.
The rest of the content was worth it too except Hanayagi IF story... which I personally didn't care for but that my own opinion.

My play order of the content was decided by personal preference which is:
Mamoru > Nozomu > Hibiki >Satoya > Wataru  > Hanayagi IF > Itsuki > Miyabi > Tour of Koukashi.

Harukanaru Toki no Naka De 6 Gentou Rondo of Deus Ex Machina - Review

遙かなる時空の中で6 幻燈ロンド
Game: [Harukanaru Toki no Naka De 6 Gentou Rondo]
Genre: Otome game Visual Novel.
Developer/Publisher: Ruby party, Koei Tecmo.
Platform: PS Vita.
Release date: 2016-12-22

The sequel to Harukanaru Toki no Naka De 6, given how I really enjoyed the original
I couldn't help but be surprised we got a sequel instead of a Fandisk because of that this game
takes place after the grand finale and now I have a sequel I never asked for but got anyway.
Since this is a sequel, if you haven't played the prequel maybe skip this game
since it relies on past events and one can't begin to understand why there is this wall
between Darius and Azusa, sure they'll recap general knowledge and expect
you to be able to remember on your own.

Sadly this game hasn't had the greatest of receptions which made me scared...so after
I finished KgK momoyo tsuzuri I went into this right away because I had to know for myself
and in the end I sorta agree with the japanese impressions this is a very flawed sequel
an unnecessary one even, pretty sure they rushed some parts of it
in short; its just an average sequel to please fans but it wasn't at all a necessary one.

The game plays just like its prequel, you still have mission/goal from time to time
and you must balance the visits to the guy which end you're going for once again.
Also for those playing without a guide be careful with your choices
you could very well mess up and make it impossible to get the guys next event.
The battle system is improved but still easy, you're rewarded for finishing battles fast
and evolving talismans is a pain in the neck but once you're done with everyone said
items to evolve talismans will be useless, also this time you get to choose which location to use
as a home base, like the demon-clans mansion or the cafe Haikara which Murasame frequently visits.
If you pick one that isn't tied to the character which route you're going for
you can miss a few sub events during that playthrough.

Pro's
 - Arima/Shuhei route is better, tbh most if anything the indivual event/route is only worthwhile thing.
- Wan-chan is Totez Adorbs.

Con's
 - Story seems interesting at first but turns into a convoluted mess...
 - System, its like an rpg with a bit of time managment, So if you're not up for that avoid.
- Long common route not much individual, overall its a short game.
- Deus ex machina.
- Unvoiced sugar-content scenarios as paid DLC.  (눈_눈)

There's also a demo available on JP PSN so if you have second thoughts
about the sequel please try it out, it contains the entire first chapter.

My play order:
Darius > Arima &> Shuhei > Tora &> Kohak > Ludo &> Kudan > Murasame > Man
 & Normal > Toudou & Grand end.
I mostly focus on two characters per playthrough making the total number of runs 6 or 7.
Because its easier to do than the prequel... and you have too much time on your hands anyway.
For a guide/walkthrough I recommend: http://neoromance.info/haruka/rondo or Half-adder.
I recommend going for only one character and the normal end first play, try viewing some
of Man's events till you hit a wall and don't forget to focus on upgrading your talismans.
If you were to only do one per play you just have more free time to focus on upgrading
and or capturing every onryou summon so its not bad either way.
There's no trophy for capturing pokedemons this time but I did it anyway.
You get some new scenes during the prologue on 2nd play from Man's point of view as a sign that his
route has unlocked, however I do not recommend doing it till you're done with everyone else.
Preferably do Man before the toudou/grand finale the order of the rest doesn't really matter
may as well get Darius out of the way early(no offense to mai husbando but it wasn't that great).

As for expectations for the routes themselves, I didn't have much of that and I'm glad
Arima and Shuhei got better routes than in the prequel because they deserved it
though I still think Darius had a more well rounded route back then than here. :(
The game is much shorter than its prequel and I went through the routes without
needing to say meh I don't feel like it now and go do something else.
Also
For those wondering if you need to do every character combination technique in one play no you don't.
The list resets, but rest assured you can get them all over multiple play so best to keep notes!
The most I got was 20... but I was glad to realize you don't need to go that far.

This wasn't that bad  but was it a necessary? Hmm... I honestly can't answer that.
Was saving Chiyo back then really such a good idea? maybe there was a consequence
somewhere someplace in a distant time that the two miko's and the hachiyou isn't aware of.
You'll find that answer in this sequel, warning that there are full spoilers further down below.
In short I give it a 5.2/10, I had a great time in most routes and most of them were enjoyable -event
wise- but it isn't all that great to sit through multiple times, the routes are essentially new versions, to
give us another opportunity, yeah some route brought up legit issues but I honestly wanted a continuation of the love ends but everything was reset to them being friends in this game, for some character it worked out for others it was a drag, you know I could put the prequel down
for a few weeks and continue later but since this is shorter and easier to play through
I couldn't and I am sorta glad for that. Also the plot wasn't engaging enough its like
they forcible created a problem when there was none which lead to one thing and the other.
The missions were less, too easy and not rewarding at all basically the first half
of the game is spend in the most boring ways like i said atleast the chara events made up for that.

The DLC controversy makes me roll my eyes and it makes me sad
Koei has taken such steps and one thing is for certain I won't support any of it.
This is a visual novel with some light simulation that shouldn't be the victim of addon content.
That aside I enjoyed most if not all the routes, except the grand finale as Kudan's end was much
better, it was pretty underwhelming this time yeah I am sure it worked out but it was a mess
I prefer Kudan's end over it which felt like it was the most complete ending in the whole game.
5.2/10
PS: Wan-chan is a maji tenshi.

Ken ga Kimi Momoyo Tsuzuri - Review

剣が君を守る
Game: [Ken ga Kimi Momoyo Tsuzuri]
Genre: Otome game Visual Novel.
Developer/Publisher: Rejet.
Platform: PS Vita.
Release date: 2016-12-22

Sometimes a FD you didn't ask for is better than no FD at all.
Yes that's how I original felt when Ken ga Kimi Momoyo Tsuzuri was announced.
KgK may not have needed a FD per se, the vita port additions were perfect but I guess
that port sold well enough for rejet to give this game as a thank you for supporting. :)
I can say this game was worth my money thats for sure, Rejet mostly used
their budget correctly and otomate could learn a thing or two from this!

That aside I loved the original, the vita port of KgK may not have been the best
but its definitely the definite version because of added scenes with cg's
and after stories not in the original PC version, however I can't really recommend KgK
to anyone but people with a decent grasp of the language because there is a lot of kanji
If you just started learning you aren't gonna be able to understand it much.
So I can only recommend if you have a high lvl understanding of japanese
and like old timey wafuu settings plus do not mind a slow and long visual novel.
I guess fans of hakuouki or similair otomege could enjoy Ken ga Kimi as well, because samurai boys.

Pro's
- Fills in some gaps in story the original game couldn't explain.
- Art/music.
- Seiyuu did an amazing job.
 - Lengthy compared to the average FD, it will last a while.

Con's
- Not every side story was as interesting as another was.
- Long winded.
 -  101 CG's yet no actual Kiss CG's. (눈_눈)

Like the original, Rejet still has this little fortune thing when you boot up the game and you can also
get side characters this time which sadly makes it even harder to see the character you like the most.
*Whale sound*
In short KgK Momoyo Tsuzuri is basically a collection of side stories, book 1 takes place right after
the common route when the boys have parted with Kayo and are on their way back to edo from Sunpu.
Book 2 and 3 both takes place some time before the gozenjiai(sword competition).
Those two are basically AU's side stories and doesn't really fit into the canon that well.
The individual scenario books for each character are great, some even go further
into certain matters of the original like for example Kei's and Enishi's first chapter.
Each chapter takes roughly one hour to complete give or take depening on your own reading speed.

You also collect bills during the first three books by viewing scenes
from the guys POV they unlock omakes which are really cute.

There is no recommended order for the FD but I feel like its best to start with Book 1 then 2 and
finally 3 since even if AU, its a common story and it just makes more sense this way.
After that feel free to jump into the individual books and from personal experience
its best to do Enishi's book before Saneaki's and Suzukake's before Tsuzuramaru.

Honestly I can't really recommend this FD if you don't want to go deeper into the world of KgK
or didn't like every character since it will take up a lot of time to read everything.
If you do want that then by all means please do because it is worth the investment
but still I have to say the sheer content of this FD is really overwhelming.

Personally Kgk momoyo Tsuzuri gets an 8.5/10 from me, its a great FD but part of me
feels like some of it wasn't really necessary and there are a few forgettable side stories.
Taking in the annoyance of not being able to access the menu where you select the books
you want to read from the main menu is also reflected in the score there's a quick workaround though.
Not everything stood out to me but honestly over half of it did, after playing this
I really understand every character that much better so yes it was a worthwhile investment.

There's more thought at the bottom of the post but in short i'm mostly positive and I recommend
this FD to any Ken ga Kimi fan who doesn't mind investing time into every character's story.
Rating

Plot  ★★★☆☆3.5 (Writing of some side stories varies some are better than others)
Overall enjoyment ★★★★★ (TL;DR a FD with content that is more than I ever ask for)

Poll results

Yuukyuu no Tierblade -Lost Chronicle- 12%
Bara ni Kakusareshi Verite 0%
Meiji Tokyo Renka Full Moon 9%
Oumagatoki ~Kakuriyo no Enishi~ 2%
Geten no Hana with Yume Akari 8%
Hana Oboro Sengoku den Ranki 8%
Haitaka no Psychedelica 9%
Suran Digit 6 %
Code:Realize ~Shukufuku no Mirai~ 26%
Norn9 Act tune 11%

1 Code:Realize FD.
Pretty much a given considering its coming out in english and the prequel was pretty popular.
2 Yuukyuu no Tierblade.
Sorta expected since its well received and a ton of people love it, here's hoping for a localization.
  3 Norn9 Act tune.
Not sure, but this maybe partly due to this being the 3rd game and due to the recent anime...
Norn9 Act tune wasn't well received at all and doesn't even have the same writer as the prequels
so sorta waste of hype? I guess if you're that desperate for a FD of something it could still be good either way.
4 Meiji Tokyo Renka Full Moon and Haitaka no Psychedelica
Didn't expect Meikoi to get many votes but considering its an all around fun otomege(despite lack of plot) it makes sense.
As for Haitaka, psychedelica is a beloved story driven series and many love it to bits, I
sorta expected people would be interested in its sequel.
5 Geten no Hana with Yume Akari and Hana Oboro.
Never expected Geten no hana to rank this high, but I am glad maybe its also because of the manga?
If only Koei would localize... I wouldn't mind if it was the mobile version even tho I'd prefer a steam port.
Hana Oboro.... never though people would pay attention to this one, guess old timey japanese games are still of interest.
6 Suran digit.
Glad to see some people take interest in it but this seems to have flown under everyones radar.
7 Oumagatoki ~Kakuriyo no Enishi~
Given that its from a new dev and that half of the game was a snoozefest, this is understandable.
8 Bara ni Kakusareshi Verite
Welp no one seems to be into this despite being able to romance historical bishies!
I guess its because of the system? oh well... priorities.

There's not a whole lot announced for next year yet but I'll try to put up
some of the new titles in the next poll.

Orfleurs ~Koufuku no Hanataba~ - Demo Review

Game: [Orfleurs ~Koufuku no Hanataba~]
Genre: Otome game Visual Novel.
Developer/Publisher: A's Ring/Dramatic Create.
Platform: PS Vita.
Release date: 2017-1-26

Okay let's go over one more otomege demo/trial before the end of the year
and once again god bless dramatic create for releasing demo's of their ports!
Honestly I'm just biding my time till ''christmas'' order comes in. 😂

I knew before hand that the PC version of Orfleurs originally was all about dat porn
so here I am wondering why this even got an all ages port for PS Vita...
The story doesn't seem bad to me and even has potential, I like the fantasy setting and stuff.

It all starts out pretty relaxing ah dat remote village life but then some bandits attack the village and
the noble Reed family shows up just in time to save the heroine Claire, apparently she's one of the only survivors.
The Reed brothers are all knights except for the youngest, Noah who doesn't show up untill the end of the demo.
They end up taking her with them and eventually becomes a maid for the Reed family
because she doesn't have anywhere to go and wants to repay them somehow.

Since this is a demo there really isn't much to write about and honestly I learned more
about the guys from the official site and/or VNDB descriptions than the entirety of the demo
which was short and didn't get anywhere remotely interesting which unlike
the Torikago no marriage demo was a disappointment.
I didn't really get a good look at this game and no I am not lying nothing interesting happened
other than Claire learning the ropes of being a maid and seeing a slightly different side of her saviours.
What's in a demo? not much atleast for this one!

Cain Cohen.
 CV: Amekanmuri Rui
The heroine's obligatory childhood friend, luckily he was out of town when the bandits attacked.
I gotta be honest though I never heard of his seiyuu before., also I dunno if this guy has a route but I hope he does...

Adel Reed.
CV: Satou Takuya.
The second-oldest brother of the Reed family, he's kind but other than that
he didn't leave much of an impression on me.

Phil Carter.
 CV: Nakazawa Masatomo.
His family is close to the Reed's and also Adel's friend.
Taking Claire back with them was actually his idea lmao

 Louis Reed.
CV: Majima Junji.
The serious and intelligent eldest brother and was first in line to succeed
the Reed family but apparently he end up passing that to Adel.

Zack Reed.
CV: Abe Atsushi.
The third-oldest brother of the Reed family, he's friendly, cheerful and a bit lazy.

Noah Reed.
 CV: Suzuki Yuuto.
This CG is so pretty but thats not enough reason for me to buy the game...
The youngest brother of the Reed family, he keeps to himself and barely shows any emotion
there wasn't much to be seen in the demo as it ends b4 it got good.

As you can see the demo was too short for me to judge this or any of the characters.
Tthere weren't even that many cg's or memorable events so as you can see
I used some of the samples from the official site, I bet you can even tell which ones.

Final thoughts
This may be the only port of an R18 otome that I seriously question why the hell it got one.
I know that Orfleurs was no innocent game 😂 and the plot was already quite average...
Now they go and remove the porn for the port and you know what's left? not much at all
and despite me liking the setting and all I found it to be quite boring in general.
I doubt dramatic create can work miracles and somehow give me a decent otomege...
That being said I am in no rush to get this and I doubt I will get it down the line
because honestly there are much better games to choose from instead.
If you are thinking of getting this please do go with the PC version
since you will atleast get a version as it was originally intended.
5/10
I'm thankful for the demo but sometimes I think they do more harm than good.
I guess Dramatic Create got money to burn by porting this nukige? well...

Torikago no Marriage ~Hatsukoi no Tsubasa~ - Demo Review

Game: [Torikago no Marriage ~Hatsukoi no Tsubasa~]
Genre: Otome game Visual Novel.
Developer/Publisher: Kalmia8 & Dramatic Create.
Platform: PC, PS Vita.
Release date: 2016-11-24

This was Kalmia8's first game and originally an R18 one before getting an 15+ port
Once more I am grateful that dramatic create makes demos of their ports
and I only tried it on a whim to see if it was worthwhile.
The story sure seems interesting but I did not like the story set up though, it seems so familiar.
Anyway the demo gave me a good look at the two main guys for better or for worse.
System is nothing to write home about, standard VN stuff.
I think this is one of the few R18 games that would be better off without an console ports
because the theme here works a lot better when it can go all out.

Pro's
- Characters are interesting.
- Voiced Heroine.
- Varied Seiyuu cast.
- Art, Bgm is fine.

Con's
- Story premise.
- yanderes

Code: Realize ~Shukufuku no Mirai~ - Review

Game: [Code: Realize Future Blessings]
Genre: Otome game Visual Novel.
Developer/Publisher: Otomate
Platform: PS Vita.
Release date: 2016-11-24

The fandisc of Code: Realize Sousei no Himegimi / Guardian of Rebirth!
You now that one otomege available in english with an amazing heroine and a story that's actually good.
The romance? it was but an after thought but it was most definitely there.
This game however is the much needed ~after story~ because we all now how some things
such as Cardia's poison just wasn't properly resolved in most routes.
There is also a new side story set during/after the common route which focuses on Shirley and Cardia befriending her.
We also get routes with Finis and Sholmes in the FD and personally
I was really looking forward to the latter.
As expected the FD is short, this isn't a bad thing since most fandisk are
and there are no choices in the after stories, except for Finis and Sholmes.
There was also Dora's room where you can view some short events sometimes with CG with him...
Dunno but I guess they couldn't be bothered to give him a route so now we got this instead.
If you haven't played the original game then don't bother, this is the Fandisk made for the fans
with content lacking in the original game but with less volume to count as a sequel.

I did not review the original game but since i've replayed the english version
to refresh my memory before the FD i'll sum up my thoughts and while I think
its still a great otome game its not perfect but so are most games and no matter how much
I like and praise it, the more you like something the more you may be more reluctant to ignore its flaws.
*Note that they do contain slight spoilers.*
Feel free to skip this section lol...

The recommended play order for Code:Realize Sousei no Himegimi/Guardian of Rebirth is:
Impey > Saint-G > Van > Fran > Lupin.

Pro's
- Engaging story.
- Decent in length.
- Awesome Heroine.
- Art/BGM is great and Seiyuu done an amazing job.

Con's
- Only Lupin and Fran's route truly concluded a certain aspect.
- Pacing issues.

Impey Barbicane.
CV: Morikubo Showtaro.
The typical comic relief character and honestly he's quite annoying
at times outside of his own route but he's not a bad character or anything.
He's a good guy with a sad past, his route in the original game was an over the top adventure
but I am having trouble seeing them as an actual couple even though the romance itself was there.
So I hope the FD fixes some of that, other than that imo Impey's a great guy!
Also I know Nemo was pretty bad and twisted but I couldn't help but show a little pity towards him
because in reality Nemo was just misunderstood and no one sees him for what he was
nor his talent, so if someone did and helped him way back when he was younger
then maybe he could've been saved but sadly there's no use thinking about it too much.
I don't really have a lot to write down about him because his route was very self contained and didn't
bring up any major detail not explained elsewhere which is why Impey's route is best done first.

Saint Germain.
CV: Hirakawa Daisuke.
In general he's a nice guy who extends his hand to Lupin and the others.
He's also the resident kitsuneme and when he does open his eyes you know shit is about to go down!
Yeah you really do not want to get on Saint-G's bad side!
Honestly Saint-G is perhaps the most complicated character in the game.
In short he's the typical white haired boy who's suffering inside with a past
that's shrouded in mystery but hides it all with a smile that and he has a mission
from the leader of the organization which is very hard for him to carry out.
Though I wonder about Idea in general during some of the other routes except Saint and Lupin's
they do not take drastic measures but there's no use thinking about it too hard.
Guinevere was tragic yes, but I found myself to be able to sympathize more
with Victoria and Leonhardt at Fran's route because of the bond they had.
Whoops am I going off topic?
Anyway at times I get that he could come off as a yandere but thanks to Cardia being the amazing
heroine she is and the writing in general, the uguu cage of love isn't necessary!
Yes... Saint-G actually wanted to go that far but thankfully Cardia won't betray him
not after what they've been through during the route in the original game.
Personally I like him a lot, Saint-G deserves all the love and affection he can get. 💕💕💕
I'm glad Saint-G was able to be saved from the past that haunts him so.

 Abraham Van Helsing.
CV: Suwabe Junichi.
The human weapon... Van is a Vampire hunter and a former agent of twilight.
Van is mr serious business, aloof and quite hotblooded but has a surprisingly cute side to him.
He's quite cool, perhaps the coolest guy in the whole game?  atleast he is in my opinion.
Van's route was pretty grim, tense and dark but so was Saint-G's though Van's route was lacking
one thing and it was proper romance but atleast there were plenty of scenes that made me swoon
over him but yeah at times I questioned if this was an otome game during this route.
Not that that is a bad thing or anything just the route being different than the rest was great on its own.
But really out of all the guys Van gets the short end of the stick because Van's route was
more or less all action and adventure with Cardia just falling for him along the way
and the real romance only unfolds right at the end leaving me ????
I'm like even Impey had more ''romanctic scenes'' than Van's route ever did.
Also the part with Finis was a major spoiler but now I scratch my head and wonder
if he was alive all along during most of the other routes after that one point.
Anyway I get that Cardia's a special someone to him and he doesn't wanna involve her
but man those words and the way he expresses things are so harsh.
Van really is the most stubborn guy in the whole game, its really hard to see
the romance between Cardia and Van even though it is there its not enough.
Also the villain in this route was the worst.. absolutely the worst and
most of the villain like from Impey or Saint-G's do not even compare.
One good thing is that the villain in question understands just how insane he is and thats awesome
even though everything else about him is sad and terrifying.
Even worse about this route is at the last chapter I wasn't even sure if
I was going for a bad end or a good end that's how grim it was.
Sigh the ending right before the credit roll was so frustrating, Van you stubborn idiot!
Van's also the only one in the original game that doesn't get a kiss CG...
but not to worry the FD delivers on that part so no bg deal! but what if C:R never got a FD?
Oh well Van's route wasn't bad it just ended in a way with their relationship only just beginning.
Its just that his route in the original game wasn't very satisfying but dayum that extra scenario. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Honestly though it was freaking weird to see Van like that...

Victor Frankenstein.
CV: Kakihara Tetsuya.
The kind man who saved Cardia out of a pince when she got separated
from Impey and Lupin in london at the beginning of the game.
He is apparently a terrorist but this was all a misunderstanding because he was
an alchemist who worked under queen victoria and she was scared
that when Fran left he'd like reveal the weaknesses of london to other countries, lmao.
I'm like Victoria please! Fran would never do something like that...right?
Anyway if I had to be honest, Fran is the only guy who openly cares for Cardia, even
when its not his own route and he's really the nicest guy in the whole game by default!
Other than Lupin I supposed but to me Fran's kindness is on another level but
at the same time he also seems to hide something.... and i reality he knew everything
but kept Cardia in the dark because he thought the truth may have been too much
Fran's past was pretty sad but he didn't do anything wrong...
atleast not on purpose no matter how he blames himself for it.
The villain in this route was perhaps the most tragic... but I can sympatize for her in the end.
This route really had the most plot reveals out of all four available routes
and for that reason its best to do him right before the hidden route Lupin.
In my opinion Fran is the easiest character to like and fall for, not only is he kind and adorable
plus his route didn't disappoint with romance either.
Tbh out of the routes first available Fran was easily the most satisfying but it
did have some pacing issues due to the time limit because some scenes in the end just
felt longer than they were supposed consideringg they were on the clock and all.
Making me get even tenser thn should be but its not that bad since it couldn't be helped.
Fran's definitely one of my favorites next to Saint-G. 💕💕💕

Arséne Lupin.
CV: Maeno Tomoaki.
The thief who kidnapped... or more like saved Cardia in the beginning of the game
Lupin helps Cardia fnd her missing father and tries his best to make her wish come true.
He's pretty much the canon guy because not only does his route unlock
after completing everyone elses he gets the best ending out of all the guys in the game.
We know Fran was kind but so is Lupin and he's probably the most understanding.
I'd agree that he's a bit too ideal at times but come on... Lupin has doubts too and this
makes him far from the perfect husbando even tho he's perfect as is.
TBH I prefer Sholmes over Lupin and also love their interactions. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
The rivalry between Sholmes and Lupin was entertaining to see and its kinda funny
how at Eikoku I preferred Lupin but eh you know Karin-ent was hella biased
but then again so was otomate... sigh what is it with otomege devs and Lupin?
Oh and I liked how everyone fought their nemesis in this route for dat true end effect but Van's
litterally came out of nowhere since he had not appeared during the whole of this's route. 😂
Lupin had a great route in the original game and all but its sad how biased it is.

Route ranking would be: (original game)
Lupin > Fran > Saint-G > Impey > Van.
This ranking is in the order of overall satisfaction of story and romance
it doesn't mean the route at the end is bad or anything.

Fav character:
Saint-G > Fran > Sholmes > Lupin > Van > Dora-chan > Impey > Finis.
Finis pretty much turned me off... but I did feel sad for him at the end of Lupin's route.

Also while I was replaying C:R in english I realized I didn't enjoy reading it as much as before
maybe it was the translation? some of it felt idk dry and I notice aksys
just adds sentences when the characters already said everything they needed to.
Its a long game and I usually enjoy meaty games or maybe it was
beause i've already been through it once.
It was still a great otome but far from perfect. Maybe replaying VN isn't a good idea afterall...

Shukufuku no Mirai
I recommend to go in the order of:
Lupan the gang > Saint-G > Impey > Fran > Van > Lupin  > Finis >  Sholmes > Dora's room.
There is no romance in Lupin the gang and its nice to have the cast back together
and just enjoy a fun side story like the old times so all in all its a perfect place to start.
Then do San because its not all that fun after that let Impey heal your soul
before getting into more despair at Fran's, Van will welcome you with open arms afterwards.
Lupin will motivate for Finis route and do Sholmes after that.
End the game with Dora-chan's fun side stories.
**Spoiler warning for below, minor or major they may be**

Pro's
- Most if not all after stories/new routes were satisfying.
- Art, everyone got fair treatment in number of CG's.
- Lupin the gang was a fun side story.

Con's
- Less volume, I dunno though for a FD this is to be expected?.
- Copy Pasta, yes I am looking at your route Finis.
- Saint-G deserves better treatment.

8.5/10

Saint-G
His after story starts with a flashback of how he became an agent of idea when he was about to die in the past.
Yep straight into more suffering... 😭😭😭
The two are still on their journey to get rid of the poison.
They delve into San's past and Trismegistus research may help them out and San
knew him in the past, Fran and Lupin help out too.
San's route started out really sad but got a bit brighter only to bring a bit of despair before
a satisfying conclusion, yeah sorry I can't write more without spoiling even more details.
Also the FD really made appreciate how beautiful Saint-G's eyes are...
Because for like 70% of the time his eyes were closed in the original game.
It was nice to have a conclusion to San's route and it also delved deeper into his past
so all in all I am satisfied with what I got, still it wasn't that bad in the end but man...
After this after story I am sure this sort of content is the type I don't want in a FD.
So in the end I am glad that I did San's route first!
San may be one of my fav guys but more angst? no thnx.

Impey
His after story starts with him narrating his dream of wanting to go to the moon
and how he fell in love with a girl who thinks she's a monster.
After that a scene followed where Cardia on her way back to the mansion
and ran into Sholmes and Lupan. 😕
Shenanigans aside they are a good combi after all. 😂😂😂
Oh well just as Impey gets cozy with her b4 making lunch, Sisi gets jelly and bites him. 😂😂😂
Van and Dora-chan return to the mansion even Saint-G joins in and they end up going
to queen victoria and well Impey twists Leonhardt's words for picking the sea over the skies... 😂
Impey works really hard with Fran for Cardia's sake and to make a ship that can go underwater.
One night she watches over an overworked Impey asleep and later
also saw Impey naked in the shower, dayum son. 😳
Thnx to Fran, Cardia's poison problem is solved too (as expected).
His after story was light and fun compared to what some of San's was, I enjoyed it a lot more.
I also liked how everyone else appeared in the route anyway thats all you get out of me.
Impey fans will be pleased with this indeed! even those who don't like him like me may enjoy it.

Fran
Don't be fooled this after story wasn't all sunshine and rainbows.
As usual it starts with Fran narrating about the sin he commited and how how treasures Cardia.
Sadly Cardia's poison hasn't completely disappeared yet....
Fran still feels guilty and needed to tell Dora-chan of his ''sin''
while Dora-chan was like why now? and naturally forgives Fran while Van watched. 😂
Cardia come in just in time to bring Fran his bento and Fran gets embarassed. 😘
Victoria has fun talking to Cardia and wants to get married too... cue tsun reaction from Leonhardt.😂😂😂
Later back at the mansion Saint-G comes in and crashes the party and wants Fran to meet a certain someone.
Omnibus wants a talk... because she still believes the Horologium is dangerous.
She gives Fran the option to become an apostle but he needs to think about it...
Let the suffering begin...
Some day later San even helps Fran  to really think about it since he knows as well as anyone how much suffering it is.
At one point Cardia is confronts him by toppling him and tells her she doesn't like a future
where he joined and probably makes the same mistakes as in the past.
Fran jokes about joining for her sake but he won't do it if it'll make Cardia unhappy. 😭😭😭
After that it partly felt like a repeat of San's route in the original game. ( ´_ゝ`)
ATLEAST that's what I'd thought till Lupin saved the day along with Impey,Van and... Dora-chan.
This was all thanks to Saint-G himself... best boy😇 outdone himself .😂😂😂
The ending was bittersweet but there is this one bit that irks me about it
since its only mentioned in this after story and no other.
Welp I kind of had a feeling Idea would act... but I wasn't ready for more suffering. 😞
It wasn't that bad and I liked it more because Cardia and San were da best in this route
I just do not understand why Fran was the only one next to San who had to suffer so much...
Like come on its a FD? I just wanted more time to spend with Fran and not
want to watch him despair because of him being the closest to Isaac?
Also why Omnibus only act in this after story and not the others? consistency what is it?
Thnx for informing us that Cardia could be out living her husbando's thus becoming
a threat to Idea if maybe her poison would go out of control, tempting Fran
into becoming a member of Idea meaning he has to do more dirty shit
which he definitely doesn't want, this after story wasn't all sunshine and rainbows.
So yeah please do Fran after story inbetween Impey and Van so you can atleast relax afterwards.

Van
It starts with Van Narrating about a ''girl'' who saved him.
He ends up rushing back to the mansion after hearing the news Fran made a cure.
Van can't control himself any longer and one of the first things he does is kiss Cardia.
He doesn't even realize Fran was in the same room... 😂😂😂
Oh well later Lupin and Impey return to the mansion too and well shenanigans ensue...
San couldn't make it so he wrote a letter instead, Van returned after his work and peaceful days continue.
There was a misunderstanding and Van lost his mojo for a bit but all works out in the end.
There really wasn't much to write about...
This route was really peaceful? which was welcomed after all dat action in the original.
The poison problem was solved right away! unlike San and Impey were it took the whole route.
Compared to Fran this route was relaxing and I enjoyed it for what it is even if
the writing in general could be better because it was a bit boring to me.
Van fans will be happy with this thats for sure and so am I!
After the last route I really needed something like this so its all good.

Lupin
As per usual it starts with him narrating of how he saved and fell in love with a doll like being
and granted her wish to feel warmth and release here from the curse of the horologium.
Oh and this after story also starts off with a bang like literally.
Fran notes how Cardia has become much more cute and girly. 😂😂😂
Cardia is a bit worried Lupin is in a slump and tells the others about it...
One night some twilight soldiers infiltrated the mansion...Revenge? whatever the case
Cardia thinks Finis may still be alive too... they'll try and dispatch them
But they apear to be much different and stronger from the usual twilight mooks.
As turns out they aren't twilight but just Van and Fran having ''fun'' and are trying to steal Cardia.
Lupin tells em he will never let them have his precious treasure that is Cardia. 😂😂😂
Later Impey, San and Cardia end up going on a ''date'' much to Lupin's shock...
however this is all according to their Keikaku.
Just seeing Impey and San too close to Cardia makes him jelly. 😂😂😂
The route also delved deeper into Isaacs past but this is all you get out of me.
All I am going to say is after Lupin's after story I definitely wanted to see Finis happy.
I enjoyed Lupin's after story, it was great to see that side of him and how
he still has a ways to go in becoming the greatest thief and husbando.

Shirley (Lupan the gang).
This side story is set? before the end of the common route of the original game, possible b4 chapter 8.
Lupin is after a treasure from the vampires Leonhardt and Sholmes
are at the scene to prevent it from being taken. (Lupin disguised himself as Sholmes lmao)
Just as Lupin escaped, he gets surrounded by the mafia and barely makes it out.
One day Cardia and Sisi runs into Shirley, a girl claiming to be running from the mafia.
Cardia ends up coming along... but before long a man named Darius catches up
ready to give his daughter Shirley a good spanking but Cardia and Sisi also gets caught. 😱
Nothing bad happens since it was just a misunderstanding between father and daughter. 😂😂😂
Sadly just as Cardia is in the care of Shirley they ended up finding out that her touch melts things...
but instead of Shirley being afraid like all the other people in the room she finds this amazing
and even Darius the leader of the Gordon mafia family finds this ability to be useful.
Thats when Lupin and the others come in and cause a ruckus trying to rescue Cardia. 😅
A mystery guy is brutely torturing a guy... the man kills him when he gets the info of lupin he wanted.
Turns out the treasure Lupin stole before was a fake... hahaha nice job Lupin.
A day later Shirley and her father come to see Cardia at the mansion, because
Holmes got hired by the Gordon family to track them down. 😂😂😂
Serious talk aside Cardia ends up going along with Shirley into the town
because she wants to be a normal girl! so eventually her overprotective father gives in. 😂😂😂
Cardia still has flashbacks of the time with Elaine and Etty and has doubts about all this though.
On the way back they ran into Leonhardt and some guy stalks them.
The guys discuss some dude named Avido Crudele from Italy who is stirring up trouble
here in london so the gordons, so the gang join up and try to stop it.
That's all you get out of me, somebody else will surely make a better summary.
TL;DR Avido Crudele don't come near me, my family or my friends ever again.
This side story was more or less the same as a common route chapter or even a regular route in the original game and longer than any of the after stories so far, sadly its not perfect.
It focused on Cardia befriending Shirley and while also having a cool story about family to boot.
(Ok opinions on plot may differ here...)
Still I think this original story dragged on a bit too long and the antagonist got so bad it was funny.
Sigh this is why you don't piss the mafia off.
I'm not sure why they bothered focusing a story on side characters... part of it was boring
and part of it was good aka Cardia getting a female friend.
There was no romance in this original story but this route was enjoyable
and had its own twists along the way but at the end of the day I do not really care.

Finis.
CV: Kaji Yuki.
Route starts after the common route of the original game, Cardia leaves Lupin's mansion
and travels by train alone to seek for answers at her mansion only to be found by Finish there.
There's some copypasta from Lupin's route in which the villagers attack her when she runs out of the old mansion.
When they go too far and try to set her on fire Finis catches up and laughs at Cardia being worried for him.
When Finis has enough of their idiocy he orders Alister to kill them one by one
and Cardia ends up going with them voluntarily.
Of course Idea are determined to stop it so they bring in a handsome new apostle.
Cardia ends up casually spending time with Nemo, Alister and Finis, which was nice in its own way.
Lupin ends up infiltrating the cathedral aka twilight's base  but Cardia won't go with him this time
because she wants to save her little brother! so Lupin gives her a transceiver instead.
Still the gang tries to rescue her and all hell breaks loose when ''that'' apostle Henzeru Heksenhaus shows up.
Lmao forgive my shitty romanization... his first name should be Hansel.
This route was basically Lupin's route from the original but still a bit different and without
the focus on Lupin(cuz his presence was like 7%) so it could focus on Finis.
While disappointed I honestly don't care, I mean how else were they gonna do it?
Also at first I never cared for Finis but Lupin route + his after story was enough
to make me change my mind also om the topic of Hansel his backstory man... T_T
Hansel also really redeemed himself over the course of it all and I'd love a route with him.
I mean come on... don't tease us like this!
Hansel /swoon/ this boy, if only... if only he had a route.
Copy pasta aside Finis's route was still good! lot's of interesting things to learn about Finis and Isaac.
I suppose I could complain about the little things but that would get us nowhere at all, it is what it is.
I'm glad Finis found happiness but I wish there were more cute scenes with Finis!
There were not enough...
Also as much as I like the scene above with Hansel that should've been one with Finis
I dunno Hansel CG can stay... just put it in the other section at the gallery? :/
Oh well the ending itself is sweet but its only the beginning for them.
Finis fans will surely be pleased with this route... if they don't mind sitting through a repeat of Lupin.
Sadly no kiss CG... not even a kiss on the cheek I mean what gives?! do they want to milk this series?
Romantically I couldn't really see Cardia + Finis, I just want them to be happy as brother and sister.
At the end of it all I was more like Finis iz happy, MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! lol.

Erlock Sholmes.
CV: Murakami Kazuya.
The route starts with... a flashback of two people agreeing to work together
I betcha you can even tell from the voices who they are. 😂😂😂
Afterwards Sholmes narrates about his encounter with Lupin and the others in
the train snatch incident, he was particularly interested in the girl with them but he did not find out
her name till later and he wishes he could have the chance to ask Cardia more about herself.
After Cardia left the mansion on her own tll she hears some rumors abotu jack the ripper....
Oooooh boy... welp this confirms it even more that Sholmes route is based on Van's.
However Cardia had a brain fart, ends up walking into the sewers and well she ran into Jack...
Cardia acts smart when she is cornered and used her poison on jack, before
jack can counter Watson showed up just in time buuut Jack gets away.
Since Watson is a nice guy, he takes Cardia in for the night.
Next day when Cardia sees a picture taken at Watson's wedding with his wife ms hudson.
She instantly recognizes one of the persons as Erlock Sholmes who
Watson knows as Sherlock Holmes a friend who passed away.
Once Watson realizes what's going on he rushes to where Erlock is... and Watson's pissed AF.
Before we know it Watson became shipper on the deck... this is the beginning of a long story
and I won't write much but I loved the part where Sholmes tasted the scone for Cardia after she
showed that her poison melts and she hesitated to eat it... that was SO SWEET OF HIM. 😍
Also the part where Cardia told him of Elaine and Etty... 😭😭😭
Shoooolmes *howls* told her it wasn't her fault and consoled her and told her to love herself more.
He let Cardia go off on her own and guess what? she ran into Jack again, thankfully Sholmes followed her...
Also the part where Lupin saves em all on the Ornithopter and Sholmes holds on to Cardia...
Oh man... my heart 😊 and then Sholmes hands her to Watson and goes after Moriarty. 😭😭😭
This part was so romantic, my heart melted at the sight of his smile.
The route started out with a huge derp moment but got a bit better quickly.
It also used Van's route from the original as a base but Sholmes route was still great
and was more unique than Finis was! even though some things couldn't be avoide
dalso why is Aleister so gay for Sholmes? usually I'd say I ship it but :/
My biggest fear was that they wouldn't be able to fix the poison problem
so I was prepared for disappointment either way.:(
This route was good though I love Sholmes and he sure knows how to melt my heart
and also stick a knife into it and twist it for extra pain. 😭😭😭
As a Sholmes fan I couldn't be happier when I finished it, i'm just sad that no kiss CG...
because for some reason the poison wasn't fully gone? I remember he mentioned that.
That aside this route had plenty of romantic moments... so I don't really care that much about a missing kiss CG.
After this route I have taken a liking to his seiyuu too! but he doesn't have many roles
he's also Uranami from reine des fleurs, one of the few guys I liked in that game. hahaha.

Sholmes > Lupin  > Impey  > Finis > Van > Fran > Saint-G > Lupan the gang .

Fav character
Sholmes > Saint-G >  Hansel >  Impey > Van > Fran  > Finis / Lupin > Watson > Shirley .
Hahaha its not like I am biased towards Sholmes or anything...

 Final Thoughts
I was surprised that some of the after stories still had a heavy plot but were still short.
Sadly I expected FD's to give everyone a treatment they didn't get in the main game and for
Impey and Van this is correct... but I am salty because of the treatment Saint-G got.
Look I did not need more angst okay?!
Other than that San's after story was still good but honestly he deserved better and I could nag
about how lazy half of Finis route is and all but whatever... It could've been worse.
I don't really have much to say about it so this is going to be short but I enjoyed this FD!
Also I like how they advertised them wedding outfits yet only one guy gets an actual wedding. ಠ_ಠ
Man talk about false advertisements...
In the end Code Realize fans shouldn't be disappointed by it because there are
many good otomege that never get a FD so we should be grateful we even got this much.
7.8/10
This game loses points for Saint-G and Fran's treatment, false advertisement and copy pasta
from Lupin route at Finis but it still managed to be a good package for C:R fans.
I wonder if they're planning to continue this series seeing how succesful it is...
Haha even if they do they better not change the staff like with Norn9 Act Tune.

Meiji Tokyo Renka Full Moon Review

明治東亰恋伽
Game: [Meiji Tokyo Renka Full Moon].
Genre: Otome game Visual Novel.
Developer/Publisher: Hunex/Broccoli/5pb(mages).
Platform: PSP,PS Vita.
Official Site: http://meikoi-vita.com/
VNDB: https://vndb.org/v12159
 Release date: 2016-8-25

I bought this otomege a while ago in my august order(Moujuutachi, Oumagatoki and Meikoi)
but delayed playing it since I figured its pretty much a charage and it
would be better to play when I have nothing better to do.
My reasons for buying Meikoi is because I am a sucker for the setting of being swept away
to a different time period in which Meikoi is similar to harukanaru toki no naka de and sangoku rensenki.
2nd reason would be the characters because I already heard that they're all 👌👌👌.
For the vita port they added a guy named Iwasake Tousuke who is original from the movie adaptations.

My playorder:
Fujita> Ougai > Shunsou > Otojirou > Kyouka > Yakumo > Tousuke > Charlie.
I don't really recommend starting with Fujita though, Ougai is a better place to start.
Just remember to do Fujita before Yakumo since Yakumo's route spoils the whole ghost girl subplot the two share.
You have no choice but to do Charlie last since he's the true route of this game.

Pro's

- Art, its great but it does vary.
- Dummy head mic.
- Decent length as in not to short or too long.
- Comedy.

Con's
- Heroine, average at best.
- Background art leaves much to be desired.
- Copy Pasta.

Overall Meikoi has a decent length to it, first play will be the longest
I clocked out at 7-8 hours, pretty sure the prologue was atleast 1 to 2 hours.
Routes itself are about 5-6 hours becoming slightly shorter when going for the secondary route.
What I mean by that is characters are paired up together:
Fujita and Koizumi. Ougai and Shunsou. Otojirou and Kyouka.
Charlie is pretty much the truth route and Tousuke is an addition to the vita port.
The characters are all likeable, they are not that accurate representations
of their historical counterparts BUT they all have quirks to make them so likeable.
Fujita being the most normal, Ougai and Yakumo being the weirdest.
The comedy was also pure gold, so many scenes that made me laugh!
A lot of otomege forget about it or make it forgettable.
The bad ends are sad but they're also realistic... now for the bad part:
Characters that share route, their bad end is the same except the goodbye scene
the after credit scene for that or any pair up is the same... ah unavoidable copy pasta.
There was no affection meter but the text skip was super fast making
the other endings easy to get despite there being a lot of choices.

I do not think Meikoi is a bad otomege, even if it has its fair share of issues it is enjoyable
despite the protagonist not having much to her everything else adds to that.
The overall story isn't that interesting since its a charage which means first and foremost that its
focused on the characters though some of the subplots are darker than others but still not that dark.
Did I enjoy this otomege? hell yes! do I recommend it despite its many flaws? yes!
I could even recommend it to those still learning japanese and have a decent grasp of the language.
8/10

If you have yet to play the psp version the vita version is a good start but if you already played it
but I do not think 6000 yen is worth it just for one more route unless you are a die hard meikoi fan.
Meikoi is not terrible in what it tries to do and passes the otomege part of the game with flying colors.
For those that like the genre of being swept away to a different time period and romance historical bishies
Meikoi shouldn't disappoint you but its probably better to play it on the side
because when you think too hard about somethings you'll most likely shake your head.
